I have had my leap v2 for just about 7 months. I wasn't sure about when I first got it. I used to get cheap box store chairs. After some time, it's now its the BEST chair I have ever had.
I did it! 😃 The video is super helpful and I didn't have any issues. The hardest part was installing the casters. LOL I have a chair much like this at the office and this one is much better padded and the armrests so much nicer. At a third of the cost! I'm thrilled, thank you!
Some tips for others. I followed along with the video and pressed down on the seat as instructed, and the gas cylinder/chair height seemed to keep its position, but after sitting in it for the first half hour or so it rose all the way to the top. I had a hell of a time depressing that white seat tab to remove the seat and had to order a longer screwdriver. From another Crandall video about disassembling the chair to return it, I saw the screwdriver they were using was made by Klein, and since they had it next to a hammer I own I could tell the screwdriver was about 14" long. After some research I ordered it from Amazon. It's Klein Tools 605-10 (but is also sold in a set with an equivalent Phillips head screwdriver as Klein Tools 85072). I still had a hard time releasing the seat just from watching this video, but another video here from a competitor helped: ua-cam.com/video/BacozvEHmz8/v-deo.html Most importantly, it said to push the seat all the way back first before trying to pry that seat release button. That's what (finally) helped me succeed in removing the seat, and since I was alone and dealing with the polished aluminum frame version of the Leap V2 (heavy) this video was great for the way they had the chair leaning on a table and letting gravity drop the chair seat out). (I did the same, leaning it on my bed as in the video, but I put a pillow under so the seat wouldn't fall to the floor.) Next I had to adjust the gas cylinder, and this video from Crandall Office Furniture was good about telling me left or right for tightening or loosening. (The included sheet didn't, I guess that's because it covers one of three possible gas cartridges you might end up with.) Anyway, it's fixed and keeping its adjusted position, but these tips helped me immensely so I'm sharing them here in case others find them useful as well.
Well produced video. I’m saving up to buy one of these, soon. Tired of blowing out my cheap chairs and looking forward to having the same chair I have at the office in my home office.

@@SneakyBeagsif you haven’t ordered your chair yet, I can tell you it’s random. I suppose the only way for it not to be random is if you upgrade to a newer model base but they don’t always have that available. I was honestly hoping I didn’t get the kind you have to use the screw attachment for and that’s the one I ended up receiving. I did have to adjust mine but it’s super simple, so I was dreading it for now reason! And my chair looks brand new. Not a scratch on it! Even on the base. They do a remarkable job!
Gotchya. Well my research said you and BTOD were the only 2 good places to choose. I didn't know you were making them yet , so I got from them this time. If I need a change or get a different one I will get from you guys . Thanks @@CrandallOfficeFurniture

I am assembling one bought from you and in 5:05, looks like they were not aligned at the time of assembly and now I am unable to adjust the height.How can I fix this ?I am unable to detach the Gas Cylinder.

Is there a way to specify which cylinder type? Ideally it seems that the cone is easily the best option.

are the armpads soft? On amazon there was a comment that they were a little harder
We actually just upgraded our arm pads to be softer and 1/8 in thicker. We have a new video being released this week about them.

Just got mine, and there's some play in the seat after installation. It tilts up and down slightly. Is that normal?
