@@nunc889 I mean legit it was chill when we rolled in. Basic scope, It is in bad neighborhood and the parameter fence was a little lower so people could hop over. Before we came on board the last contract one of the guards got stabbed and several beat up during being on duty. Plus incidents of stealing multiple cat converters off of state vehicles parked outside. Just a bad situation. The security company I worked for at the time armed all of us with Taser X26's (Law Enforcement model), OC Spray and optional armed classes with half off a 9mm Beretta service revolvers. Uniforms resembled Ohio State Highway Patrol (Identical) with patrol vehicles that resembled them as well with green/white lightbars on all vehicles, The company had a lot of money out there bringing people in, and the pay was good but they got big way too quick and had financial issues and had to close up. It was a retired former police officer that opened the company and he wanted to enjoy life after having issues. I was employed for 5 years and left as a Lieutenant/Supervisor. I'll miss that company by far one of the most realistic security companies I ever worked for. The contract was dropped and Allied security took over and changed everything back to unarmed guards and I said deuces and left. Now I sell and flip used cars through eBay motors and do Lyft/Uber lol.

I'll be working graveyard shifts soon and I really can't wait! I'm 21 but I've been working in manufacturing too long and I'm kinda over it and besides I've been really interested in being a security officer because it looks amazing and I love security in general. Like, securing my home and remaining vigilant at all times is something I'm good at so getting paid for it would be great!
@@nunc889 I started working and going into my second day with Securitas, I've been posted at a large shopping center with 3 Zones we get assigned to secure. So far so good however it seems like it's a lot of customer service tbh. Of course I must go around checking doors, remaining vigilant and making sure all roof hatches and tunnel doors remain closed however the way we interact with the public is really important.

I've done security for over 25 years and can't believe to this day that companies still put security officers without protection like hand cuffs, batons and tasers. you want property to be protected. give these officers the tools to do it. 2024 and still treating officers like it's 1984.
If your posted in a guard shack.... your a guard.... If you actively patrol and have more duties other than to sit at a post.... your an officer. thats 8+ years of being an officer versus a guard.

Security guard and security officer is 2 different things just saying I'm a security officer at Methodist hospital in TX and we get trained a bit different like CPR and how to detain emergency detention patients and things like that its just different training and different job we don't stand at a post we deal with dead body's kids included witch is kind of hard to deal with but much love bro keep it up 👍no hate all love bro 💯💯

U need to get a coffee machine there , i worked in those kinda guard shack before as security & bought a coffee machine there , specially if u work Grave shift security job is all about how lucky u get in site wise , like get in nice safe site site like u have ..alots sites have camera all around u , they can see u even ur a-hole, managers & supervisors everywhere & they test u every day ..thats why i choice worked in Grave ..now i working for UPS & making banks

No, I dont carry a flashlight. And in the event of an emergency, all calls should be made from a landline phone if possible.
Get a flashlight believe me can be a life saver.
