We have the cheap equipment and uniforms because all the money is going into the company's pocket. Don't want to provide good stuff and good training like your company does. It is sad to see how there is no enjoyment/pride to work at all. Just work to get paid for the bills period.

    The amount of positive comments in this video are amazing and I'll add to this list. Companies in Tennessee should be following your lead. I've seen guards showing up for their duty station as if they just got out of bed after staying up all night playing video games. Soiled uniforms and vests that haven't been washed in months (no joke) is very common here. They've apparently never heard of a barber shop or a razor either.
    It's not about wanting to be the police. It's about professionalism and for those holding a position of authority, not only do you have to act it but look it, too. That's what I see in the representations in this video. I hate to say it, but you make some of our police look like they are still in the stone age.

    I wish more security guard companies were like this in my area. If I was in the the area where Arcadia Security was located or if any security guard company was anything like Arcadia Security in my area I would send in my resume in a heart beat, because this is the kind of security company that I would want to be apart of and work for.
    Security guards may not have the same training and authority as law enforcement. However that is no excuse to not be a professional as a security guard and to the public as well.
    What I saw here is the standard that that security guard companies should held to be, unfortunately they wont be because security guard companies by enlarge are fly by night scams, that threat their employees worse that the dirt on the bottom of ones shoe, they do not train their guards at all and when the guard does something that is out side their role of athoraty. When the guard does something outside of their realm of athoraty guest what the company says well its not covered in you employee hand book so you violated company policy so were leaving out to dry and this does actually hold up in court.
    Many security guard companies and their clients put in a strict no hands on policy and the moment you put your hand on some one you are done. Security deal with the public on a day to day basis and also with the criminal element in some cases. Some people can not be delt with with just verbal judo some times that is not an option and security guards are only really allowed to go hands on when it is their life or the life of some else is in immediate danger of severe bodily harm or the possibility that some one could die. Which brings me back to the strict no hands on policy where is will not matter if some one was getting the snot beaten out of them and the security guard is one hundred persistence in the right in breaking up the fight by going hands on, it does not matter the guard will be fired by the company to the company can deny any responsibility and the guard is on their own when it goes to court with legal fees and a law suet.
    The clients of security guard companies have uniformed security guards as an insurance right off but, they still demand that the security guard company has their guards perform the duties as fully sworn police officers which security guards for the most part are not allowed to do. I'm not including Special Police officers (SPO) as that is an entirely different aspect of security as they actually are commission with the same arrest powers as a fully sword police officer, however (SPOs) powers of arrest are heavily restricted than that of a regular police officer.
    Security company hand books cover what is expected of their employees such as work place edict, overall appearance in how they should look and behave while in and out of uniform, attendance, benefits which most security guard company benefits are a joke and they will keep most of if not all of their guards on part time status making them work full time hours but sense the guard is only part time the company does not have to pay them benefits. ect. Most if nearly all of them do not even have a use of force police for unarmed or armed in their hand books which is unexceptionable.

      First, we don't look like police. Our uniforms and shops say SECURITY on all 4 sides. Our officers are doing serious work and are provided top of the line uniforms and equipment, on the same level as or even at times better than what law enforcement agencies provide their staff.
      Second, we are a professionally licensed security firm with the highest standards and likely highest pay in the State of Nevada, regardless of what any other company may claim.
      Local police work with us like a partner agency and treat us like equals because we know our lane, and we stay in it.

      I’m from BC. Security here can only carry handcuffs, if licensed to do so. At least in some other provinces security can carry a baton. Canada’s laws suck!

    • @ArcadiaSecurityPILB
      @ArcadiaSecurityPILB  Рік тому +3

      We don't hire directly in to patrol unless you are coming to us directly from a police department. Otherwise you have to start in a static position and can then apply to be considered for a move in to patrol based on your preforms as a static officer.
      Literally everyone wants to work in our patrol division, so we are able to be picky and only promote the best officers.

    Most companies are just after the money.im a sgt currently and feel most of the time I'm the only one taking it seriously. Most officers dnt look the part more less act like it . I know it shows when we deal with public and that's why security gets a bad reputation company owners and officers have to be on the same page. inorder to achieve this level of performance and professionalism

    We could use a company like that in Eugene Oregon and up in Portland Oregon as well I would be down to join this team if they ever made a second office down in Eugene

    • @ArcadiaSecurityPILB
      @ArcadiaSecurityPILB  2 роки тому +1

      The Arcadia brand was started in Portland in 2002. Then expanded to Washington in 2012. Our founder and owner sold all of that company's assets to his COO and his wife in late 2020. The pandemic made traveling to those offices too inconsistent and difficult. He licensed the Arcadia name to them, so there is an Arcadia in Vancouver that services the Portland area, but it's not this company and it's not associated with us in any way.
