The New XP-Pen Artist 16 is their 2nd generation of this drawing tablet and it's not that different than last year's pro. But it does have some nice features artists and illustrators will appreciate.

I agree! It would look really cool! I recently did the same with my OCs, it's really inspiring to have all of them put together next to each other. It creates links that you didn't expect - so maybe Brad will get inspired to make a comics or an animated movie by doing this! one can dream^^

If your getting an XP-Pen display, I highly recommend the ones with the wheel. Sure, I love my 22e Pro, though I am kinda bummed that I missed its successor with the wheel by a few months. I recommend the Artist 13.3 to my mom for image manipulation, and having used the wheel myself I fell in love with it. If anything I wish there were two wheels on the left side and then it would be perfect to take over all my most used keyboard shortcuts.

@@mountaindeu6765 any XP-Pen models with the red ring by the shortcut keys. The knob just feels very natural for zooming in and out and changing brush sizes. You can still do those action with shortcuts, but with a wheel you can essentially program both the increase and decrease value functions to a single input rather than programing them to two separate keys.
XP-pen also supports changing one of the shortcut keys to switch the knob from zoom mode to brush size mode. Though I find this kind of clunky. I like using it for my brush size and use my z key to control the zoom with my mouse (at least in adobe programs)

A video using a screen less drawing surface like the "one by Wacom" connected to an Apple Silicon Mac drawing in procreate would be an interesting video. Yeah recently I bought their Graphic Tablet (in pink!) And I found out that I do not like this new 3x chip pen! I had to raise my stabilization more! So I got their previous model, the Deco Fun Small! I think its perfect for me since I draw in a small space and don't need express keys! First of all I use your reviews before I buy anything on the assumption they are going to work but I think it significant that the problems of DRIVERS with XP Pen Artist account for more than 4 out of 5 issues. This together with the fact that they ignore any request for help if the issue is beyond their competence. All the best to you and when you do the little dance and incantations ensure you have one for XP tablets that do not work.

It was just too big and heavy for my new work set up with multiple monitors. I could never reach my keyboard comfortably. I started looking at 22-in tablets. I agree. Wacom is better as far as their drivers, I still don't think that justifies the financial investment. Last time I looked a 22-in Wacom from 2019 which has not had an update is still 1300.00 they could easily cut the price of that in half. If they want $1,300, I think they need to upgrade it, update it and get rid of all those cords and reduce it to a single connection. What are your thoughts?

I was using a 24 HD Cintiq, but needed to update, I tried Huion (arrrgh drivers) and what I am hoping with future reviews is more details about the drivers and settings. The driver for the Huion 22 messed up my PC with horrible lag and their customer service was terrible and no option for return with them. XP Pen drivers were a lot better but I am finding that I am having to restart my PC about every other day I use it because the drivers just stop recognizing the stylus?? happens on two different PC's. The build is great , but drivers are soooo important and make or break the experience. Thoughts?

Interesting idea, though I would assume that the pen would be come blunt in use, like any mouse you connect to the iPad. It wouldn’t have the drivers to support working like the apple pencil. Doubt it could be powered by a single usb cable to the iPad. You would probably need a split usb cable to deliver power by another means like a battery bank.
I see no reason why it shouldn’t work as a second display as long as you take the previous concessions into account. I can see it being useful in the context of using the tablet for drawing on a computer at home and as more screen real-estate on the go on the ipad. These are only slightly more than most IPS portable monitors I’ve seen online.

I just got this tablet and I’m having a hard time getting it to work with my brand new MacBook Air. The tablet won’t show what’s actually on my computer screen but the mouse will still have some function. When went to instal the driver it said to make sure I was on Mac OS Big Sur but I’m currently running Mac OS Monterey and I think that’s screwing it up but I’m not to sure. Anyone have any ideas? This is my first time setting up a drawing tablet so any help would be very helpful!

Hmm, the USB C wouldn't be any kind of trouble for me, I got that lying around anyway since my cell phone uses one. I'd be more interested in knowing if I could give a 180 turn, so I can use it properly ^^' I'm nowhere near using any type of pro artist tools, I still love drawing offline most and use drawing programs for photo manipulation and to clean up stuff and I actually got a Wacom One for that, but find that kinda impractical - I'd really rather try to find a pen display, ideally one that fits into the bag with my laptop, I don't need one that's the size of my desk ^^'

If your budget is $200 for a Drawing Screen Tablet. Just Don't. You're just wasting money. Buy a Screen-less tablet instead. I would suggest Wacom Intous pro S to M. They would last a life-time and have better pen sensitivity than most of these Non-Wacom Screen tablets brands.
