I remember playing with a 1660ti I’d put in an HP Z800 with ddr3 and two xeons. I’ve got a 5800x and a 7900xtx now, and yet it stutters more than the 1660ti because Epic doesn’t know how to optimise a game anymore. Started watching your benchmarks at i3 vs i5 vs i7 and haven’t looked back since. Keep up the great work!
Hi! Thanks for the donation 😃🤗 I have! I liked it but I felt like I was missing the vertical height, I prefer a bigger 16:9 with a lot of width and height than a UW. That's why I got a 42" TV as a monitor! I also have a 40" UW which is the same width, but of course the height is much lower, it's great, but not for me honestly, especially a flat screen UW
Also I play fortnite on low performance render mode it's smooth as butter but you have to let the textured cache meaning play a few games first. You have to do this every time you change a major graphics setting. I'm using a 4k oled 240hz monitor
OMG I saw the other 4080 benchmark and I was so worried because you were getting better framerate on 4K with max settings than I do on 1080p. But now I get exactly the same framerate as this one almost 2 years later. Im glad my new gpu isnt broken.
how come? Im having the same problem I have the same graphic card and cpu with the same settings and everything and Im still getting less fps than on the vid
Loved the video! I’d really like to see the 4080 super benchmarks on some other competitive games at different qualities and presets, no one really seems to test the competitive pvp titles like Cod, X defiant, Destiny 2, Valorant and so on, always seems to be single player games
Do you think CPU is a bigger playing factor to high fps than the GPU (like the 500 fps average at the end)? Trying to decide between GPU and CPU upgrade for this game
it's honestly mind blowing to me that they still haven't even added an option to pre-compile shaders whenever you boot up the game. sure, it'd take longer to load in, but man those first few games would be so much more enjoyable.
The reason why pros use performance mode over direct x 12 is because the lower graphics makes it easier to see enemies from a distance which is a huge advantage even tho it has 1% lows
Man Fortnite after first patch / first match, especially with lumen is such stutter hell it's almost funny sometimes, game always sorts itself out and goes back to smooth afterwards but it's so notorious it's become a running joke in my friend group

@@zWORMzGaming have no idea mate do what you get to do but if you get one of this 7800 xt or 7900 xt or 7900 xtx all of them are great gpus especially that now there price point is pointing towards being more valueable compared to the price they had in their launch.
I'm pretty underwhelmed with my 4080S. Trying to game on 1440p and was thinking I'd get like 150fps stable at epic settings. It's more like 60-120 with sudden drops to 12 lol.
If you play for half an hour and come back tomorrow without changing the drivers, the game will run without problems until the season update comes or you update the drivers.
First boot of the game after fresh driver install may cause these stutters, play 1 game - discover map than reboot fortnite and stutters are gone, works for me and my friends
i have these same exact settings applied for 1080p, nanite off, yet im getting 150-160 fps instead with around 60%-70% gpu utilization, i have a i9-13900k paired with it btw.
Crazy that with a few tweek's eg., no shadows(gains 10-15 fps with Rt), Lumen's both on high not Epic, and DLSS quality & reflex boosted, I get 105-145 fps(90-130,+shadows) with an average of 120 fps(110,+shadows) on my OC' 3060 12gb at 1080p. Fortnite stutters tend to be a cache issue, 3 games in usually fixes them or increase the cache for the card in Nvidia panel helps if you play a few AAA games, as 4-6gb is the default cache, I also find RT actually helps with the dip's & gives a flatline of a frame graph when I use it, this is why I use RT with my RTX 3060 12gb in Fortnite, 120 fps is fine for me as a casual and its really pretty lol. There is a video on my channel of my 3060 running these setting to a VR. Also 1080p RT of Doom Eternal at 160-200+ fps, something others say your lucky to get 120fps with a 3060, its not an amazing card but for 1080p its a beast, and I have no issues gaining high fps gaming at 1080p with RT &, or very high settings, in fact with GTA5 I have to upscale it to 1440p to keep it out of the 180+ fps stutter zone lol.
Will the rtx 4060 and the i5 12600k be good for 1080p and maybe some 1440p if the game isnt too intensive at 60 plus fps? I dont really need a very high end system, i just want dlss 3 so thats why i got the 4060 just to let you know but if you have any recomendations from radeon or the 30 series rtx cards go ahead and tell me! (Also im getting 4000mhz ddr4 32gb ram but im worried if that will be sufficient or not)
4060 is quite good, it is a 1440p card. Without ray tracing it will pretty much always give above 60 fps in most of the AAA titles ig, with ray tracing though at 1080p i guess but 1440 idk, maybe with dlss and frame gen it'll be able to do a lil better. But it should be enough for most, if not, all of the games you play. It only having 8 gb memory is kind of a letdown tho.
Nice vid. Thanks for it. I have the same situation on AMD system with 7800X3D and 7900XTX. Performance mode is unplayable. On DX12 is fine but also ocasional microstutters. Was thinking of switching to Nvidia but it seems that it’s the game issue not the gpu
So native 4K Epic is 4090 or go home at this point ?! I would hope they close the gap between the 4080 and the 90 by a good half but no... Let's wait for next gen
could u turn off "Game Mode" and "Game Bar" on Windows settings, that usually helps stuttering at least for myself, also "TAA" In Fortnite always makes the game hard stutter so turnin that off too helps or setting it to "FXAA" or whatever its called
