    Brain Tracy is the only speaker I've heard who actually gives unique, concrete, and novel value every time he speaks. Other speakers I follow either just tell their story or say the same thing that they do in every other speech. I know Brain totally isn't going to read this - but thanks so much for actually giving value in your speeches!

      Yes. Him and Jim Rohn. Their style of speaking is so effective, clear, and soul stirring. They're the example of what it means to be both a 'teacher' and leader. They're the Rockstars of speaking and teaching!

      Steven - you're so right. You nailed it. Every time I listen to him, I'm flipping scribbling like a maniac - so, so, so much wisdom in every sentence.

    What I love about Mr. Tracy, and what I think most people love about him, is that he is consistent. Consistent in tone and attitude, and consistent in delivering valuable information.

    He pointed to something that I think is key, and something that James Altucher talks about, and that is Ideas. The most valuable tool we have is the ability to think, it's where the most value is located, the ability to think, to problem solve, to generate ideas. Such a great presentation. Thanks!

    Great interview Joe. The ideas Brian shares in this video are familiar, as he also presents them in his books. Still valuable and fun watching this though. Great reinforcement. In Brian's second major point about THINKING, though, he advocates for Slow Thinking. I'm just curious about what his response would be to the question of Napoleon Hill's diametrically opposing point of view. Hill says that losers take long time to decide, while winners decide quickly and almost never change their minds. He gives the secret 60-second time limit by Andrew Carnegie to Hill in taking up his (Carnegie's) commission as an example. I'd love Brian's answer to that. Great stuff tho'!

    • @nickmcardle7959
      @nickmcardle7959 8 років тому +4

      I would imagine that the difference is mainly based on having the full facts available.If you have all the facts as in the Hill/Carnegie situation a decision should be made quickly.i.e. a minute in this case.In most other cases more time is needed to get all the facts

  • @karenwallace5855

    Not in business persay, but in huge decisions in life I have always used the "what's the worst case scenario?' and if that happens, can I deal with it. If I'm willing to deal with it, then the answer is now obvious. And the chances usually are, in the end, slim really that you will experience the worst case scenario but once you decide to accept that it might happen, the upside seems much more doable. It just puts in all into perspective.

    Is it possible to multi focus? Is it really that bad to have a high perception ability? Some people like don't even notice anything that happens around them isn't that almost dangerous sometimes ?

    • @mfshareef
      @mfshareef 8 років тому

      I think you're confusing high situational awareness with lack of focus. They are not exclusive of each other. To be successful, you need to be focused and have high situational awareness.
