Fissidens Fontanus is a massive unmanageable mess. The batch I got is a billion small 2-3 inch segments which are super thin leaves and if they hit the flow by any chance it would get EVERYWHERE in the tank and be a mess I cannot ever clean. I wonder if it's a Species different than what you have (which looks stunning). I'll share some pictures
I am extremely pleased with my bucephalandra. They gain a new leaf every week or two and they are amazing when planted in the eye catching areas of the tank.
We need more of these videos. Other youtbers have stopped making plant profile videos. Most of them are years old now and some lacks information. More power to the channel!
I have the Hydrocotyle japan and I love it. When I found out it doesn't need substrate I attached a small vine of it to a piece of wood and now I have a cloud of it floating at the top of my tank. Great video again, your time is appreciated. Couldn’t help but notice the immersed “umbrella” plants when you were showing the marsilea, they look amazing! Is it hydrocotle vertical? And is it rooted in aqua soil with very long stems? I very much want to make that happen!! Cheers Tim
Another quality video! I would like to try all of these 😂 I was thinking of adding marsela hirsuta and tripartita if I get rid of the sand in my 9 gallon flex? Also maybe guayana if the hygrophila angustifolia doesn’t work out! I’ve tried palustris 2-3 times in that tank and killed it slowly every time! It’s my favorite stem and can’t figure out how to keep it alive low tech 😂
I have Ludwigia Palustris "Super Red" since the start of my tank. It survived so many of my mistakes when the others didn't. Only the Anubias types were thriving 😅 I recommend it too, though I bought a better light.

You won a Java Fern and an Anubias. Plant section at Petco is typically littered with empty coffee cups and other garbage. Ordering plants online ends up with getting stinky mush instead of plants. Why is there no emphasis on plants, while they are the best way to keep the tank healthy? My guess is that the fish sold at pet stores don't live longer than a week on average.
Hi MJ, thanks for your lovely videos. just a quick question, where's the best position to place the CO2 diffuser in relation to the HOB filter intake? next to each other or on opposite ends or another position you recommend? thanks
