- Опубліковано 15 вер 2022
- Superman is the most powerful superhero of the DC world, so it only makes sense that he likes to flex his strength. Now, I don’t know what Warner Bros and Discovery have in mind for his future, but they better think fast because all of us over here are getting very impatient, especially with all the rumours surrounding Henry Cavil and Marvel. At this point, we wouldn’t even mind an HBO Max Special like Peacemaker! Just give us something! Well, all we can enjoy for now is the past, so I’ve collected my Biggest Superman Flexes in the Movies for you guys to enjoy!
This list is just my opinion so feel free to let me know about your thoughts in the comment section below.

When Superheroes FLEX Their MONEY in Movies: ua-cam.com/video/3PF0Oi7AAEk/v-deo.html
you can tell from the slightly bigger downote numbers than usual for this type of video that the feminist line upset a lot of non playable characters
Well thanks to the rock you're getting your wish of more superman
Superman doesn't believe in justice, he believes in people.

How on earth did you miss Brandon rouths bullet eye flex
One of my favorites was when he is brought back to life, and the flash is running past him and he turns his eyes and head fast enough to keep up with the flash which really throws Barry off. That was epic.
Absolutely!
Best thing was that we were all waiting for him to do just that
"Oh you're fucked now"
@@ud22221 then who is iy
not everyone will get this
For me the bullet to the eye is the most iconic
i love that bit...
Yes, I couldn't belive that didn't make the cut. One of my fave superman scenes ever. It's the smirk after they both watch the squashed bullet drop to the floor that makes it a legendary flex.
That was one of the first ones I thought of when I clicked on the video. The SMIRK he gives when they see the flattened bullet.
I was so surprised when It didn't show in the video.
That bullet was a hollow point. It was made to break up like that.
How could you miss the bullet crumbling in his eye that broke my brain as a kid, for sure that and the scene with the plane were all the memories that survived that movie
Ahh fuck, even thinking of that scene makes my eye hurt! But yea, that was one of the biggest flex moments in cinema history.
Yeah, that was definitely way more of a flex than saying he doesn’t drink when he flies.
@DennisKovacich or that he had remained abstainant through his entire adult life, in service and gratitude of our lord and savior jesus H. Christe amen bless you
I love when writers or directors give superman a moment to just let loose and demonstrate what he can really do.
It is cool, but I honestly feel too many of these moments are kinda what's wrong with Superman in the modern era. Modern movies keep trying to have these extended CG scenes where Superman is doing all this crazy OP stuff. Sup is at his best when he uses his powers the least and shows how much heart and humanity he has. But yeah, I'm not going to claim that I don't like a good sup beat down as much as the next guy! :-D
@@solamon77 eh I disagree, I really really hate the trope of near deific beings trying to be human. I much prefer the inverse of humans making themselves incredible through their own talents and skills. If your character starts off deific let him be that near godly monstrosity they can be.
@@arkhaan7066 I respect your opinions on this, but I do have to say: isn't that the literal crux of the Superman character? He's an alien with a human heart? He was raised in Smallville by the Kents who raised him right and taught him morality.
@@solamon77 it is, which is why I don’t typically like Superman or his portrayals.
Stuff like this where he gets to be radically different is really cool because it’s different from that perspective.
Part of it I think is that, I spend my whole life being human and dealing with being human. I don’t want to also watch it in my entertainment, I want to see something very different.
@@arkhaan7066 That makes sense. Thanks for the discussion! 😀
IMO the best superman flex is in the animated series when he tells Darkseid he walks around treating everything like it is made of cardboard. Then he tells Darkseid but you can take it and just unleashes the beat down./*
Right? "That man won't stop while he can still draw a breath. None of my teammates will. Me? I've got a different problem."
but you can take it, can't you big guy. Love that scene
Darkseid will always be CGI. I wish they would get Michael Ironside to do the voice. He was classic.. And Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, was the worst.
agreed. that cartoon bit will always stay with me...
funniest. shit. ever.
you can take it, though. can't you?
...boom, did it !
I get goosebumps everytime I see that scene
Henry Cavil is the only Superman I want from here on out until he's too old to play him
I'd still watch an old superman lol
Christopher Reeve will always be Superman.
This. When he said "We need more Superman content!" my first thought was "And it better be Cavil!"
Well he isn't doing it nomore. He isn't even a good superman
agreed! how is their even a debate??
Since childhood I loved Superman, not for his seemingly infinite powers but for his genuine love for mankind, honesty, morals, and integrity.
Superman is the Mary Sue wetdream for nerds.
Exactly. That is Clark Kents real superpower. This guy basicly has the power of a god and he never flinches from restraing himself. Maybe the only beeing that was never corrupted by absolut power.
@thedevilsmachine,
exactly, me too. I love his good character, genuine politeness, manners and unwavering integrity the most. His powers are awesome too.
Like I’ve said for years, Superman’s power isn’t flight or invincibility… it’s that he will always find a way to do the right thing, no matter what.
...but I was always into Spidey, for the same reasons 😊
The look he gives to the flash in the fight scene in the Justice League was epic. Flash is shocked he can even see him.
That's my favourite Superman moment. That side eye of you're gonna get fucked up. And then on the flip side in Smallville when they race at the end of the ep, and Barry is running backwards with him then turns into the red flash at supermans speed.
Agree. The best subtle moments in that movie.
That slow look at him.
That scene gives me chills every time
And people think Thor from MCU can take this Superman :)))) He snaps every avengers neck without them even realizing what happend.
My favorite flex moment is in the first superman movie where Supes is just standing there on the side of the building as the thief is climbing up the side, and Supes asks him if something is wrong with the elevator.
Mine is on the boat. "Bad Vibrations ?"
“Going down” as he passes the guy before catching him.
Superman will always be my favorite super hero. He is the pure embodiment of a super hero. His real super power is continually not using his power for evil despite knowing he could own just about any world he wanted to. He remains human and humble. The Kent's raised him right.
besides the Kent family, his biological parents were also good hearted people and left messages for him of the same type like "be humble, help the humans"
My favorite DC superhero was always The Flash for his witty remarks. Favorite altogether and firmly cemented thanks to RDJ, Ironman!
I wish DC would get their act together and start producing quality films on par with the MCU, I'm at the point where I won't even watch them until they're on HBO or whatever other streaming option is available. Hopefully one day they redeem themselves...
5:08 this shot always gave me goosebumps. Seeing Superman, this god-like figure, floating in the air like that during a storm, cape flapping in the wind, brief flashes of lightning showing us his presence, it gives me chills to think about lol
Superman is the Mary Sue wetdream for nerds.
Facts
Modern Superman movies look amazing but that score for the originals, nothing is more super than listening to Supermans theme.
Omg I love that score I get hyped off it as matter of fact I'm s b obout to listen to it now
World's Finest "Movie" ua-cam.com/video/89yiguzcAZc/v-deo.html with Christopher Reeve & Michael Keaton
Hans zimmer was better than the og
I was 10 when I heard that music in the cinema, it made more of an impact on me than the movie, which is saying something for a 10 year old huge superman fan.
John Williams really knows how to make music talk.
@@devinquinn6022 Flight isn't even in the top five superhero themes, let alone better than the Williams' theme. It's serviceable generic background music and that's all.
The best Superman flex was from Superman 2. Two of them really. When he went back to diner and took care of the "Bully". And when he crushed Zod's hand and gave that "Hell yea" look before tossing him away.
The flex with Zod was awesome, especially with that John Williams score as he starts snapping Zod’s hand…
I love when he says “too late Luther, too late.”
I will ALWAYS be a Christopher Reeve guy, but there's plenty of room in my heart for Henry Cavil. He really did Superman justice. He took great care of my favorite super hero and God bless him for it. BTW, I agree with your #1 pick. That scene got me pumped knowing what my boy was about to do.
Henry Cavil is born to play superman, he is so good
I have loved Superman as long as I can remember. I remember when Superman the movie came out in 1978 and absolutely lost my mind over it. Superman has in my opinion is the greatest hero ever.
Wasn't that when he wore his underwear outside of his tights?
@@macycola3224 yes. His suit was more comic book accurate then.
@@franksworld9922 true but Henrys is more aesthetically pleasing
@@sarathomas8499 agreed.
Wait! Superman flying around the Earth against it's axis, to reverse time, didn't make the Top 10 Superman Flexes? C'mon now.
The thing I HATED about that is not only wouldn’t it reverse time, it works cause maybe destruction from the oceans being forced to go to other direction
He's not reversing Earth's axis. He's flying faster than light and going back in time. The Earth spinning backwards is just showing that cinematically.
@@azathoth3700 ~ okay
I’ll buy that
@@azathoth3700 Thank you, that scene always pissed me off for the same reason. You would cause the planet to break itself apart from inertia if you suddenly changed the direction of spin.
@@azathoth3700 If that's true then why did he fly in reverse direction to set back the flow of time? If fast enough speed enables time travel then merely stopping would put the traveler in present time. That didn't happen in the movie. LOL
Superman Returns is a GREAT movie. Completely under-rated. Brandon gave his all to try and respect Christopher Reeves superman and I think he did an amazing job. It felt like superman. I also love Henry Cavil's superman. Totally different superman, but just as great.
“ Stay down, if I wanted you’d be dead already”- Not even the joker could say this with a straight face and believe he actually could.
He stil got his ass wooped 😐
I can not believe they dumped HC. He IS superman. I've watched them all and to me, he personifies Superman without even trying very hard. I will definitely miss him.
The scene where the batmobile bounces off of Superman was the biggest flex in Superman history. My favorite "you literally can't fuck with me" moment.
Bullet eye tops it for me
The drone scene at the end of Man of Steel should have gotten an honorable mention.
Army: That’s a $20,000,000 piece of military hardware!
Superman: ………..was
I agree with you about Brandon Routh. (his arc on Chuck was really good too.)
I'm glad he's still part of the franchise.
Great video. I also liked the bullet straight to the eye from Brandon Ruth's superman. Didn't even flinch.
Disappointed that the Christopher Reeves first flight in Superman 1 wasn't included. The OG with the soundtrack in the background...man that gives me chills everytime
It makes me laugh that just the weight of Supermans arms would be enough to break those handcuffs so he honestly probably spent more energy holding his arms in that position so he didn't break them by just letting his arms hang 😂
Supermans arms are normal weight. The way I look at it though, it's whatever Superman wills to be. He wasn't using any will power to break the cuffs but he also didn't have to use any will power to not break the cuffs either. But as soon as he wanted to, the cuffs split apart as if they were never even attached.
@@SteelNight7 Superman's actual super power is "Hope". When he needs to do whatever it is that needs doing, he just hopes he can do it and does it. It's like his capability scales with increased levels of hope. Like how the Hulk gets stronger as he gets angrier. Now, this isn't the LITERAL explanation of his power, but as a character in a story that is his power. Over the decades his power levels have shifted and we've over explained the strongest superhero but it really all boils down to hope. And honestly? It symbolically makes really good stories, and that's what we love most about him. When his theme song heroically starts up, you get hyped, the hope climaxes, and you explode into cinematic triumph.
@@JFitable So he is like orc waaagh or something? He paints his suit red to go faster?
@@gabriellang7998 Hah, yes kind of? For Orks in 40k they actually have powerful psionic ability and when they perceive a color and believe it shoots faster or is tougher it actually becomes that (especially in great numbers). A machine works not because of the technical science behind it but because of the behind the scenes forces at work. Great example my friend
@@SteelNight7 so he's a WH40k ork?
Christopher Reeve was Superman!
but if I had to choose someone to take his place, Henry Cavill, you're it brother! fantastic job
THANK YOU so much for your comments regarding Superman Returns. It remains one of the greatest super hero movies of all time in my opinion and Routh's ability (and willingness and wishes-to) pay such an amazing tribute to Christopher Reeve is both touching and so so impressive!
The best Superman flex was in a cartoon when he spoke to Darkseid and said, "What we have here is a rare opportunity for me to cut loose and show you how powerful I really am!"
I agree completely. There is something that the Snyder movies didn't really capture (until the the Snyder Cut I think) of Superman which is apparent in the Timverse. There was a bit too much edge to him as a norm in the former, whereas the latter had his more angry and human parts come out when it made the most impact. It was the opposite of the 'The Joker is scariest when he stops laughing' Supes is scariest when he just doesn't have anymore faith in you.
Dude! The moment he punched Steppenwolf…it literally gave me chills 🥶
...This guy still bothering you?
That shit josstice league is so cringe. The real fight was in ZSJL.
The fact you include Christopher Reeve Superman make your countdown video the best on UA-cam for a minute.
I love Superman Returns so much, I've seen it more than 250 times 😁😍
Henry was such a good Superman!!
A good superman given a crap script on multiple occasions, sadly.
And he still wants to play him. Hope dc realizes that
the best superman by far
@@Miro_X 100% agree, he is perfect for the role
Agreed. Shame about the movies, but he was never the issue.
Yes, yes, yes. I agree 100%, Superman Returns has always been underrated, and I never understood why. I still periodically rewatch it and say to myself “Nope, I still can comprehend why everyone doesn’t like (or love) this movie.”
Neo, I'm with you bro. That Airplane catch scene, at the stadium, is epic. Hell, just thinking about that scene is giving me goose bumps.
@@LTCSLIDA Exactly! And that was just one of many. I absolutely loved the scene of Clark getting into the elevator, and as the doors start to close, you see him start flying upwards.
ua-cam.com/video/1cdxCTmviT0/v-deo.html
The entire plot was awful. Nothing made any sense. Also didn't care for pretty much any of the castings.
I too really liked Superman Returns. It failed because Brandon Routh was a traditional "clean" superman in the last traditional "clean" superman plot "Truth justice and the American way. Superman loved America and America loved him. That doesn't fly anymore. Now all Plots are dark. Superman must be brooding and suspicious of humankind and all of humanity must fear his power. It's no longer cool to love your country or it's superheroes. So Superman Returns was shunned . A shame because he was very good.
@@longdragon7067 Excellent observation. I hadn’t seen it that way, but in retrospect, what you say makes sense.
When the first Superman movie came out in 1978, it was the best movie ever. We all loved it, and made me into a instant Superman fan
Thank you for showing my hero in such a positive light.
When lois asked og super man does he like pink and having him say yes after the xray vision bit was priceless. I've never chuckled so hard in my life
I just want a "Man of Steel 2" so that I can see how they planned to resurrect Clark Kent. Bringing back Superman is easy. He's Superman, but Clark had an open casket funeral!
Thanks for setting things straight in this video. Excellent Job!
I liked it in the comics when he decided to stop dodging Batman's punches and let one connect. Bruce broke his hand on Clark's face.
Even though flash is faster... I enjoyed the time when Clark and flash was having a conversation in bullet time. Showing how fast their perception is.
Yeah. That is cool.
And as regards to speed Superman has kept up with the Flash before.
Also he has at least one time he became omnipresent speed. So he beat the Flash there.
@@davidbritton5282 omnipresence isn't speed. And flash only lets supes keep up.
@@fotwen so you admit you're a lying sack and know nothing. Good to know.
Omnipresence is how Superman broke free of Hypertime. Destroying it.
The Flash has never reached Planck second speed.
Ever.
Superman had to be everywhere an every place to get out of Hypertime. This means his speed had to go beyond Planck second.
Please do not lie.
Superman has 60 plus Hyperversal feats. The flash does not.
Superman Returns is one of my favorite Superman films. I'm glad Brandon got to be in the Arrowverse.
He is my fave after Christopher Reeves 😀
@@edlim3287 Yes he fits the part well
Completely disagree... I hated just about everything about it. Glad you enjoyed it tho. To each his own.
@@smvincent84 I undetstand and have no problems with someone else's opinion. I've never understood why so many people wanted to make a Superman movie with him fighting a giant spider? I know Kevin Smith wanted to do that and I think one other filmmaker as well. Superman against a giant spider sounds boring.
@@SchardtCinematic i feel that Brandon smiles too much :p its cute but its too much for Superman. Thing is Superman needs that warmth and smile, which Brandon has dollops of, just a wee bit too much i guess. I feel like Christopher Reeves has just the right mix, thats what i think anyways :)
What about when he tells Batman, “If I wanted it, you’d be dead already.” ?
Idk being able to conceal your secret identity with just a pair of glasses is a pretty big flex to me.
I've thought of that also its like he has a powerful mind control ability like how he made Lois forget he's superman by kissing her
Well, in the olden days it was a pair of glasses AND a bumbling, oafish facade. lol
When he breaks handcuffs and then talk with army dude looking straight in eyes through one sided glass, that scene was on another level
At least Brandon Routh as The Atom and as Superman on Crisis On Infinite Earths were his redemption roles.
9:34 " & Batman, but he doesn't really count" 🤣🤣🤣 I love it 🍻
Have been a SuperMan fan my whol life, just hope there will be more amazing SuperMan movies to come.
Totally agree. We need more superman movies
"They can be a great people kal'el they wish to be. They only lack the light to show the way."
The son becomes the father. The father becomes the son.😭🔥
I loved when he went against the Elite in the cartoon movie(and comic). That scene and the one with Darkseid where he finally gets to give all of his strength.
I've always loved the truck stop bar scene when her walks away from a fight and destroys the guy's truck.
So instead of giving him a black eye he destroyed the guys livelihood that most likely wasn't even fully payed off yet. Way to go Superman.
Still one of my favorite superman signs
You absolutely must revise this to include Superman crushing Zod’s hand, lifting him, and tossing him in the Fortress of Solitude!
Which suoerman film was that from??? I cant remember.
@@daviddaddy Superman II with Christopher Reeve…around 1980ish
Haven't even watched through yet and him literally going back in time by flying around the globe backward better be on this list.
I love how he can throw Batman with the flick of a finger, now with that amount of strength and the other powers that he has, just makes him the OP superhero of all DCEU.
The way Superman levitates into the air, and then slams his opponents is also a flex. You would expect him to have very little momentum not standing on the ground, nor having a long run way and yet he demolishes.
don't forget about him lifting that island and flying around the earth and reversing time.
Definitely agree that superman returns was criminally underrated
minus lifting a entire continent made of Kryptonite it was pretty good
@@HeckmanBrad77 lmfao throwing it into the sun and despite it fucking with continuity or whatever, i enjoyed it, the strongest superman we've seen thus far thru sheer will power
The best Superman Flex was in Superman 2 when he crushes General Zod's hand after he takes away his powers. Best Superman moment. period.
how is hurting a defenceless enemy a flex?
He tricked his enemies into making themselves defenseless. He flexed his BRAIN! MAN!!! 💪
Superman definitely needs more screen time, I just hope I get to see it In my life time. Im surprised that the mini gun scene from superman returns didn't show up in this episode.
Henry looks so different in “The Witcher.”

@@macdonald2k of course you're right. There's no way Superman is fast enough to stop 20k nukes all alone.
Wait, you said 2k? Nah, must have been a typo.
No, it most certainly does not. The odds of that kind of power being given to someone who has the strength of character to not rule as a tyrant are infinitesimal. Power corrupts, and unlimited power over a long enough time line would almost certainly lead to a disaster.
He called the Flash Slowpoke, not as in a Pokémon, but as in Slowpoke Rodriguez, Speedy Gonzalez cousin. He's the original Slowpoke, since Speedy Gonzalez is the Warner Brothers' Looney Tunes version of the Flash.
Superman's biggest flex ever is the bar scene in Man of steel. Not of his strength but of his restraint.
Great job it makes me want to watch Superman and justice league movies again
Hate Batfleck all you want but “Something’s definitely bleeding.” is HILARIOUS!
huh..I've never heard "Batfleck"...ha
I honestly though Ben was going to be a terrible Batman but I think he did a good job.
I'm an Affleck fan and I thought he'd suck.
I wonder if Superman will remain relevant forever... That's a flex!
Good list. My favorite, that you left off, was when he spears Zod and asks him if he thinks he can threaten his mother.
Totally agree! Superman's love for his mother is a super power as well IMHO.
Why does the old movies look more realistic than today’s movies
because they relied on practical effects and wire-work in real environment...everything today is cgi
World's Finest "Movie" ua-cam.com/video/89yiguzcAZc/v-deo.html with Christopher Reeve & Michael Keaton
Because you haven't been to the eye doctor in years.
Snyder's style is very cinematic pushed by an overt amount of CGI. He rarely uses practical effects. His style is not meant to mimic reality like typical movie graphics, It is stylized as fantasy and larger than life. It is the one think I have to admit Snyder is good at, Although I think he lack good judgment in when he does the thing he does.
Practical effects & different film stock.
Christopher Reeve absolutely nailed the role of Superman. I hope the next iteration is something more like that.

Yes more Henry Cavill as Superman
Mustache or not, Henry Cavill makes the perfect Superman and to top it all off, he nerds tf out about Superman as well as a lot of video games so he’s a well cultured man.
Superman's real weakness is his genuine moral code. No one would even get a chance to deploy kryptonite against him if he just killed his enemies at the first sign of trouble or stopped bringing the worst ones to jail and letting them get additional chances to escape and try again.
Well said
Agreed 💯
God, I wish they would make another Henry Cavill Superman movie and let him be funny. The actor is hilarious, and Superman is supposed to be snarky.
When Superman was fighting the Justice League he could have easily ripped them into pieces and left them laying on the ground.
He showed great restraint.
Superman taught me how to code. He taught me how to be Lex Luthor.
ViniiTube! Great voice-over choice especially for a top 10.
IMO the best Superman flex is when he lifts an entire continent of Kryptonite off of the planet and throws it into space, showing an unbelievable amount of power despite being surrounded by his ultimate weakness.

Well, since Supes is not affected by alcohol,....
mate thank you! so glad to finally see someone applying some logic to the whole superhero discussion ''superman cant do this'' ''superman would never win in a fair fight against Batman'' look there cant be a fair fight.. IT'S SUPERMAN a being who have been downscaled in power to fit in the franchise with all the other absolutely great hero's. I'm sure that if Superman decided to clap as frickin hard as he could not being downscaled for story or movie purposes', my guess is that he would create an impact with enough power and friction that would put the downscaled Tsar bomb to shame while also causing a chain reaction of unfortunate events resulting in natural disasters and all sorts of shit..
Yes I'm team Superman so that does have an impact on the way I see this of course but even if I wasn't I would still come to the same conclusion with logic, physics and human biology according to how things work *on earth.
I think one of the reasons why people have these mixed feelings on where to stand and who is stronger or who would win this or that is because superman is always scaled too the heroes he is with or the scene he is doing something in which is so vastly different from movie to movie, he has gone through so frickin many iterations (like many other heroes, I know) but if Aqua man picks up a ford truck and slams it somewhere because he is pissed we sit there and smile and in my case gets excited because I apply logic and physics to everything in order to measure how cool it is. I know that shit is heavy and to just pick that shit up and jamming with it or doing something funny that give us as viewers a sense of scale and power we can interpret. Superman on the other hand he is expected to not show any struggle or any other kind of hardship from everyday stuff these heroes go through, which is why amongst many other scenes I won't mention as it's beside the point, scenes like the one in Man of Steel where he saves the guys from the exploding/burning oil-rig, when the metal/ steel pillar starts to come down and he catches it so the helicopter can fly off safely, it annoyed the piss out of me that that was a thing where they tried to convey how strong he is.. bro I don't care if that thing weighted 100ktons it should not be such a big deal for him. in superman returns he lifted a whole continent up from the pacific and flew it to outer space for frick sake, and the mineral composition was mainly kryptonite, hence why the dude fainted and fell from the sky and needed to be treated by paramedics! that is the way you should do it, but in a smarter more modern way. why do you think one punch had to go to a weight in with all the other heroes and do all these physical test, yes he scored poorly in all his test because he was so overpowered and the universe he's in cant fathom a being being that strong and the test was not meant for someone as strong as him, so every test was faulty or the equipment where and no one expected it was him (except one). but for those seeing the series it worked like a charm, it showed his power in a way we can absorb and in some way we can sort of relate to.
One punch is perhaps a little odd example because it's a series about a dude who has insane fights where we see his power all the time but I just wanted to mention the fitness test as a way they could test superman too as the universe he's in knows who he is (sort of at least) but have no idea what he is capable of, I am sure he is not even fully aware himself. A scene that stood by me to this day from when I was younger was the scene with (correct me if I'm wrong here as I'm bad with names) Johnny flash from fantastic four, where they build a heat chamber to withstand the heat he would produce, yes he ended up melting the cooled and ventilated titanium chamber as he was reaching 4k kelvin or approx. 3700 degree Celsius or for you crazy Americans approx. 6800 Fahrenheit also added that had they not stopped him he may have gone supernova which is simply the end of a suns life where it explodes and emits more energy then the sun would have in its entire lifespan over a short span of time. I'm rambling and English is not my first language so bare with me if you have made it this far - but I think to conclude; that we need, whether or not we are team superman or not a test - the world forces should go together and develop a test program to test how capable, how strong whatever they can come up with of insane great visualizations of *who and what are Superman and what is he capable of.
Yes just like One punch he may end up destroying every test even though they are build for him in mind and not the averrage4 joe but with the world forces combining their tech, and top scientist and mathematics and everything between they would be able to come up with an idea on how to get an estimate of his powers *AND weaknesses and log all that data and convey that to us viewers in the simplest of forms *not being able to comprehend what those numbers are, when people in science of any kind lose their composure and are mind blown by the data presented, that his grip pressing force measured 2 mil pounds pr. square inch before the measuring equipment failed and the friction and air molecules evaporated everything within 100 meter or a water compression test, as we all know as a rule of thumb *water cant be compressed ** but it can so seeing him compress water to a state where it's known properties changes and the physical state turns from a liquid to a solid state with different properties or to a crystalized phase like Ice 6 would be so frickin sick, you best believe I'd be watching that at least a 100 times.. seriously I can go on about this so I wont bother you anymore, I also have to mention I have ADD so I may have gone off topic and there may be places where I'm talking about something and then talking about something completely else, sorry for that, hope you get something out of this even if it's just a laugh
- If you got this far let me know if you got something to discuss and I'll get back here for a good discussion - to anyone wanting to be rude, aim for *over my head so I can have a chuckle (I wont respond to rudeness unless it's justified and or slightly smart - byeeee
Did you forget about the helicopter rescue scene from Superman the movie 1978 with the classic line you've got me who's got you. I'm disappointed
The special effect of today is what makes this Superman great. You can do so much more to show how strong he is, and they have the right actor to pull it off.
Dr. Manhattan is the real flex. Wouldn't last a second to him.
Well ye he is literaly energy and energy can't be created nor destroyed and plus he's in like 20 places at one's and he could keep recreating himself. With a blink of an eye he just splatters superman
Okay. Clearly you two never read Doomsday Clock. Dr. Manhattan himself pointed out he couldn't hurt Superman. He failed so hard to erase Superman that the universe itself fought back and at the end Dr. Manhattan freaking dies.
So yeah. I'd Dr. Manhattan dies from the universe punishing him...
*My favorite flex is when they CGI'd him to do that 1 made up power in that computer generated landscape n threw some after effects on.... man that was great!*
His mere existence is a permanent flex 🙃
THIS
You forgot the biggest flex of all. In the original movie he flies around the earth so fast that not only does he change its rotation, but he turns back time, too. He’s so powerful that he defies logic and physics.
Agreed. And he lifted up tectonic plates beforehand right?
You didn't know that all you have to do is reverse the rotation of the Earth and it will turn back time? You don't even have to reverse the revolution around the sun, or the sun around the galaxy, or the galaxy around the supercluster. etc. Nope, just make the Earth spin backwards. And don't worry, slowing down and reversing Earth's rotation that quickly, won't have any negative effects!🤣
@@somersetcace1 Sometimes it is necessary to put science in fiction, and sometimes its best to just let a super hero be a super hero for the entertainment value. When I saw that scene as a little kid I got all hyped about it and I didnt care that it was actually stupid. I still dont, but hey be a spoil sport for someone else if that is what makes you happy.
“Darkseid’s assistant” better said is Darkseid’s uncle.
Wow, 1978 and he's preaching against smoking and drinking and flying. I knew there was a reason Superman is an icon
I completely agree with the superman returns being underrated
Every time I see that "What does the S stand for?" scene, I can't help but to see Nicolas Cage's face in Lois' Lol!
i think one more needs to be added, here...the gatling gun scene in, "Superman Returns"...the look he gives the guy when he tries to shoot him and the bullet bounces off his eye...
CRIMINALY UNDERRATED, YES!
Superman Returns is AWESOME!!
It always intrigues me how Supes regains his powers so quickly during the middle of the night, when the sun is completely hidden on the other side of the planet.
His power comes from the radiation from the sun.
At nighttime, tho the sunlight is gone the radiation from it still remains.
There amount of solar radiation that would fall on his body would only power an infinitesimal amount of his strength anyhow. I read a short story by Stephen Baxter (hard sci-fi) about supes that tried to reconcile that with him directly drawing power from the sun via a singularity-based wormhole connecting his body to the heart of the sun. Thus he can draw on massive amounts of energy very quickly.
His body stores solar power. Unless its drained its always there.
I remember going to the theatre and watching Christopher Reeve in what I consider the best Superman movie ever created. Now than being said I will admit that Henry Cavill is an amazing Superman and he is the only one that should do it from now on. I will also admit that I did enjoy Brandon Routh's version of Superman.
I like the scene were flash is running around superman, and superman slowly looks at the flash while he's running...
