Great list I didn’t see Vader coming as number one you disguised it very well and that’s coming from a diehard Vader fan he Deserves #1 without Question
Fantastic4 was a turd...even the scene with #DrDoom...a stinky turd of a movie🥱
Norman Osborn Harry was his son
I'm glad you had that scene for Dart Vader as number 1. That last scene in Rogue One, with Vader chewing through those soldiers after the plans, the fear in those soldiers - that is by far the best scene in any film. Real edge of the seat, even though I knew they got away with the plans, that scene still had me on the edge of the seat watching it. Just perfectly done.
Bellatrix Lestrange over Voldemort.
Osimandias revealing his entire plan to the watchmen just to announce it has already happened half an hour ago should definitely be top 5.
And that is why I will forever be his fan,and don’t consider him to be a villain.❤
He did a horrible evil. To save humanity. He's basically Batman. "I'm whatever Gotham needs me to be."
Yep, awesome twist on a ancient James Bond trope.
yess
Ironic that the "watch" men got there late.
The world will remember Willem Dafoe playing NORMAN Osborne, not Harry. Harry is his son.
Said the same thing when I heard that too
Um ackshually according to the narrator that was "William" Defoe. Common mistake, kid.
/s
Me 2
Bird of prey Dafoe is his best role.
He lost me when he said Norman, didn’t even finish watching, such a disappointment
You had the tag for Wen Wu come up twice. It came up for Jared Leto as the joker in suicide squad as well. Right around 14:30.
Actually, 3 times.. it came up again for Margot as Harley Quinn in birds of prey as well.
For real sloppy drove me crazy
dont forget the "paintball" gun :D
Ah beat me to it. But hey, this video was brought to you by a Marvel phone app so we can't expect too much.
Kevin Bacon was perfect as Sebastian Shaw. The movie was full of inconsistencies, such as Darwin (a mutant whose body naturally adapts to any situation to keep him alive) being literally disintegrated from a touch... but Shaw was a badass villain.
In my Opinion you left the best Part from Magneto in First Class out. The " I was at the Mercy of people who followed Orders... Never Again" while He turned all the Missiles and Bullets both Russia and the US launched at the Mutants against the Humans.
I never understood what made Vader a complete badass until the ending of Rogue One. Sure he could force choke people and killed some younglings...but THAT scene sold it for me
Vader is top tier. He killed everyone on the capital ship with ease, like 6,000 people. And that's just a Tuesday.
Dude can see the future, use TK, open dimensional portals against the will of the universe itself, and summon space leviathans the size of star destroyers.
Dude, I was seven years old in 1978 when I saw the original.
That scene from Rogue One topped it, as far as the scene, but the original changed everything, forever. We used to argue on the playground about what the hell Darth Vader was; a robot? Why was he so scary? He was so terrifying!
@@stephenballard3759 That had to be awesome. I'm happy to have grown up in a time when filmmaking technology has advanced at such a rapid pace (relatively speaking) and seeing all these insane, spectacular films, but I always think about how incredible it must have been to see Star Wars in '78, when literally nothing like it had ever been seen before. And while the MCU is arguably the closest thing to Star Wars in terms of cultural relevance and impact on the zeitgeist, I can't help but feel it just isn't the same as Star Wars was for you.
Well, the sword play in movies when the original trilogy came out was pretty basic. Definitely not worthy of a Jedi or a Sith. When Rogue One came out, the hand to hand / melee battles in movies had stepped up significantly and better reflected the character, allowing us to see what he truly was supposed to be, rather than the hackery in the original film.
Its not the movies its the lore and the books where vader does some crazy shit
Faora's quote: "A good death, is its own reward" as she was gonna fight in a "even" way with the soldier (ofc she was gonna demolish him anyways) is really good
@@gibsy4843 It wasn't about being even, it was all about honor
Magneto disposing of Shaw at the end by passing a quarter through his head is the most bad ass supervillain scene of all time, and the greatest revenge kill of all time.
This should definitely be top 3. The side-by-side of knowing that he's pushing the quarter through Shaw's head in a callback to his mother's murder, as well as knowing that his [best] friend is mentally holding Shaw hostage and experiencing all of that agony... absolutely nothing would stop him from exacting revenge.
Magneto has so many great scenes, but none of them even come close to him vs the officers in part 1. I can't believe that's not in this video
I recently watched this movie again and realized that Xavier only freezes his mind/muscles so technically moving a coin slowly would just push him over and not actually penetrate. He'd have to shoot the coin as fast as a bullet to go through.
Awesome scene the slomo makes me feel uncomfortable
It isn't a 'quarter' it is a Nazi coin that Shaw forced Eric to move in Auschwitz when he was a boy.
William Defoe as green goblin was awesome. His laugh is iconic
"Willem". There is no William Dafoe.
Willem Dafoe plays NORMAN Osborne, not Harry, genius. /)_-
Calm down Becky
Yeah and his name is Willem not William.
Osborn. No e at the end. If you're going to complain about someone not using the right name. You should at least use the right name. Genius
Sorry, the Scarlet Witch killing Professor X was wrong. He's the most powerful Psychic, on the Planet. And Wand, who doesn't use psychic powers only magic, defeats him in a mental mindscape? Nope. Wrong. They lost me there.
Charles could have put her in eternal sleep just looking at her. The plot armor they gave her is crazy
Most powerful *telepath* lmao child Franklin Richards could turn the professor to a vegetable
@@Barrythebarnabasby mistake at that lol
While I get what you're saying, in that moment she is kinda being controlled and manipulated by cathon
@@Supercrawdadand Wanda could've made him never have existed at all crazy!
One scene that deserves mention is the gift shop fight from the first X-Men movie.
In less than 3 minutes, Cyclops is barely conscious and locked inside a massive display case, Storm is locked in a broken down elevator shaft and Jean is left stumbling blindly trying desperately to pry thick Toad slime from her face before she suffocates to death
Faora Ul's rivalry with Col Hardy, a human who had absolutely NO fear of her, despite all.evidrnce to the contrary, is epic!
Him running up the steps to the flight deck to ram that plane into the terraforming system was fucking awesome. Dude RAN towards his own death 'cos he knew it'd kill the kryptonian soldiers too.
@@jamiestewart48 Hell yeah! His turning back to recite "A good death is it's own reward" was one of the best scenes Snyder ever put to film.
Yep. Meloni's Hardy staring down Faora with a blade in his hand, ready to go out fighting was awesome.
While - technically - he is not a supervillain, I personally love how Peter Stormare played Lu in Constantine. It gives me shivers every time.
Either he was made for that roll, or it was written for him, either way HARD agree bro
Just rewatched this wish they could proceed with the sequel. Love the Constantine storyline
I'd say Satan is pretty much the ultimate supervillain. You do you, my brother in Anti-Christ.
Yeah agree that Stormare just owned that scene. A bit part and he clearly threw everything in his art at it. He came across as utterly demonic and unhinged but still relatable as Lucif...
Stormare and Viggo have made two of the Best Lucifers❤
Defoe was the ultimate goblin but to see Spider-man's true power compare the first Holland vs Defoe fight to the last. Peter dominates him in the end because he is out to kill him and not pulling punches. Every hit is devastating. The only reason goblin beat him the first time was because Peter held back as he usually does for fear of hurting his opponent.
Yeah but Tobey's is older and so he's even stronger than Garfield Spider-Man and he has the most experience fighting tough opponents. This was Holland Spider-Man's first time really not having much help, aside for Dr. Strange and the other two Spiders, and yet he still managed to learn the truth in his power and responsibility. Now he's going to have to take the heat and all the pressure that comes with being Spider-Man. Hoping he and Dr. Strange become the main characters for the next Avengers.
there is a comic where Kingpin kills Aunt May and Peter goes into the prison to get him, he doesn't go as Spiderman he goes as Peter and beats the living hell out of him then tells him that he will come back and do it again but he won't tell him when
@@zaynes5094you say all that and I understand what you want. But you do understand that Sony is responsible for Spider-Man. Not Marvel. So that might be difficult for it to happen.
@@Zathren Marvel owns the rights to at least Holland's Spider-Man, which is why he can be in The Avengers. I believe Fox/Sony had the rights to MaGuire and Garfield's Spider-Men, but now that they've all crossed over, that may no longer be the case.
It's the exact issue they still face with introducing X-Men to the MCU. They've had to gradually acquire them over the years, which is why few (if any, it's been a while since I watched) X-Men appear in Civil War, which originally includes all of the X-Men along with the Avengers and others in the comics.
But, yeah. Who knows?
What makes the Joker scene in The Dark Knight even better is that it was improvised. You can see Maggie Gyllenhaal look out of frame for the directors to stop it during the scene. Heath Ledger's method acting took over to its fullest in this improvised scene while he's explaining how he got his scars. He was never supposed to grab her face and improvised the dialogue.
Heath improvised a lot of scenes in the dark knight. He is the G.O.A.T 🐐
What makes it even more impressive is that no one knew this was coming. Heath had kept himself locked away from the rest of the cast for months, working and preparing for this role. Every reaction was about as authentic as you could get.
He also scared the crap out of Michael Caine during the Penthouse scene.
"Strong enough to have it all... TOO WEAK TO TAKE IT!"
I'm going 💯 with Marvel bringing back Willem Defoe, because this one-liner sends chills down my spine every time.
Bit of a correction, Bruce did not send Jason after the Joker. Jason was trying to find who his real mother was and finds her being blackmailed by the Joker. Because of that she turns him over to Joker who beats him brutally then leaves them both in the warehouse with a time bomb. Batman arrives too late, the bomb had already gone off and Jason was dead while his mother lived just long enough to tell Batman that Jason died trying to protect her.
ok, we dont care
@@mrmochaishere Dick
Willem Dafoe is one of the best actors in all of hollywoods history.
The bridge scene from Captain America the Winter Soldier is one of the tops for me. Cap and Buck going hand to hand for a few minutes 👍🏽
Thatll be in my badass SUPERHERO SCENES VOLUME -3
“Bury me in the ocean with my ancestors that jumped from the ships because they knew death was better than bondage” One of the heaviest lines in movie history
Okay, the scene where Magneto destroys oncoming cars in the middle of the road in X3 and the shot of Silver Surfer phasing out of the empire state building towards Johnny were the most b.a scenes I've ever seen as a kid, they still hold up now.
I've always figured that Jonathan Crane takes his own Fear Toxin recreationally. That's why he was able to make jokes while under its influence - he's built up a resistance
The most underrated villain of mcu is definitely mysterio
The amount of freeze in me when he revealed his true colors, I was frozen more than the final fight of civil war, I would still say that fight is the most underrated. The rage of Tony, the music and the strikes and puches
Faora Ul was in the original Superman in 1978, The Man of Steel and the most recent Flash movie. Her first comic book appearance is Action Comics #471. Such a hugely undervalued comic considering her place amongst Superman villains.
That spider man fight with dafoe will be one of if not the greatest movie moment of all time. Beyond S class acting
Ah, yes, the most exciting scene in all of star wars, right when your feels have been crumbled for the sacrifice of the heroes. I'm sure nothing in star wards will ever cause more excitement than that single breath and lightsaber ignition.
The writing and direction is soo good, just as you think, the heroes have all died, but at least they didn't die for nothing, then you hear the breath and think, bugger, they might have! Even knowing the rebels got the plans out you can't help but feel they're doomed.
@jasonbourne8245 touch grass, my child.
@jasonbourne8245may the Force be with you, because goddamn, you need it.
I actually did not see #1 comming. Everytime you hear the breathing you just feel that tingle comming on with that lightsaber..... EPIC
5:13 I mean... you stuffed it up already. It's Norman Osborn. Harry's the son.
The crazy thing is The Juggernaut isn’t a mutant so him running into that wall and being close to that boy shouldn’t have effected him.
In X-Men The Last Stand he is confirmed to be a mutant in official wiki for X-Men movies
Idk about that but the original comics says that he was never a mutant and does not possess the X gene but received his powers from a mystical nature.
@@jaytheactor555 Yeah but I mean that for X-Men The Last Stand and Deadpool 2 Juggernaut is indeed a mutant with a really big load of strength so yeah he isn't that much unstoppable like in comics
@@jaytheactor555 they wanted to show juggernaut but didn't have time to explain his backstory so in the original timeline movie universe he's a mutant. Also has no connection to Charles. Comic book deviations can be irritating but at least we got Vinnie Jones who is always a joy to watch.
The best part about this video is the perfect incorporation of the Castlevania soundtrack!
"Be careful not to choke on your aspirations" is such a beautiful line because aspirations has that double meaning going for it.
I couldn't agree less. Darth Vader as a character should not be punning. He's a burn victim space Nazi samurai who needs a machine to breathe, not a humorous jokester. Vader's whole thing is cold mechanical dread and fear, militaristic seriousness and hatred, not sarcasm and pithy remarks.
The trouble is that the people who own these properties and characters aren't the people who made them in the first place which means they typically don't understand what makes them tick, what makes them actually work, and what they are underneath.
Great video. Minor gripe that's probably not worthy of a reupload, but if no one else pointed it out, at 14:28 the caption over Leto's Joker scene was the Shang Chi title from the previous scene.
Still bought yourself a sub, and I wouldn't have noticed if I wasn't wondering what the hell movie I was watching. Honestly the flub is worthy of his portrayal.
That was an editing error on my side. Will do better and thanks for the sub bro.
Blade Runner scene, when Roy Batty yells "That's the spirit!" after taking a metal pipe to the face.
Any of the multiple scenes containing Clancy Brown as the Kurgan from Highlander.
The Kurgan was a total badass. One of the 4 Horsemen of the Apocalypse according to the Highlander storyline. Methos of the Adrian Paul TV series is another.
Good choices, McShagan! 👍
Bro put the Perfect Cell theme on here too…Perfect.
#1 could be no other. The very definition of a Badass bad guy.
Funny that the dude who stood up to loki by saying there will always be someone like him. Played himmler in man in the high castle.
That Vader scene is the Star Wars action I've wanted to see forever. Why can't we get a movie or Disney series of Vader in his Jedi hunting prime?
Honestly, I will be fine if they remade the original trilogy,
The 70s/80s choreography didn't do Vader justice at all,
Because Vader didn't hunt Jedi, the Emperor had the Inquisitors for that. They hunted rogue Jedi and force-sensitive children and killed them to prevent them becoming a threat to the empire. The inquisitors were led by the Grand inquisitor who answered to Vader.
@steveflatman I think he's talking about when he first gets turned to the dark side/ in the suit
I think Vader did hunt Jedi with the Inquisitors as his minions. The Vader of the OT was older and obviously not peak Vader. Wanakin was too whiny. We never really saw bad ass Vader
I love how you use anime music for these scenes.
Wow, lot of errors in this video. You seriously called Norman Osborn by his son's name while saying he's iconic.
BATMAN : Let her go...
JOKER : Very poor choice of words.... HAHAHA 🤣
Lady falls ..... AAaaahhhhh...💃🏻
BATMAN : Oops ...🫢. My Bad ...🙄😮💨
Seeing DeNiro getting merced in the face was pretty damn awesome.
"The dumbest version of Reed Richards" That sent me. 🤣
30:42 That scene is the best part of Rogue One.
You're missing Blofeld. "No mister Bond, I expect you to die."
Except this is a SUPERvillains list. So... not quite qualified, I'm afraid. But still, a great entry on a NON-supervillains list.
@@davidanderson_surrey_bc By my understanding is any villain with super powers, intellect, or evil schemes. The super part can mean literal powers or such a high intellect that they out think the hero/protagonist. To be fair if you want only super powered villains - where is Agent Smith? He's top 5 all-time when you consider he views humanity as a virus that needs to be exterminated & that monolog to Morpheus still gives me chills after watching the film over 30 times. Also, where is Zod in this list? Michael Shannon giving that speech to Superman, culminating in Supes being dragged into a field of human bones is chilling. Its pure psychopathic portrayal of Zod & Shannon does it very well.
And wasn't that Goldfinger not Blofeld?
@@mattc3581 Yes. You are paying attention. My comment was in jest cuz this list is pretty shit for the most part.
I never understood how shang chi's mother who could easily defeat his father with the ten rings equipped got killed by a bunch of goons.
It's explained in the movie, leaveing Ta Lo severed her connection to its magic. She was still a good fighter, bur was otherwise a completely normal human.
She gave up her powers,so she’s just exactly like a normal human being
Seriously though, referring to villains as " bro" makes you sound like a complete poser. Chill. Aiight?
The man of steel fight was the closest to a dbz fight iv seen in a movie.🎉
I would have preferred to have a continuous list of the clips without continuous interrupting comments. My preference though.
Of course Faora Ul wasn't using her Kryptonian powers - 'cos she didn't have them - she hadn't been exposed to Earth's environment, 'cos she was in her Kryptonian powered armour. She was just being the Kryptonian equivalent of Iron Man
nope. solar radiation. she didn't get much but she did get some which they should have been able to predict based on the colour of the sun. what they didn't know was how much more powerful they would have been if they didn't have the suits on which they SHOULD have known.
You get that solar radiation exists in space, yes? Unless their windows are totally blacked out they had been getting yellow sun radiation for quite a while on the ride.
@@CazRaX according to lore it has to be from a specific type of sun to acheive what we recognize as "Kryptonian" power
11:08 Grandfather, I mean, Darth Vader ruled an entite galaxy. Voldemort couldn’t even take over a high school!
I I have to admit at first, I was like who could possibly beat heath, ledger, joker, and Thanos and then you pulled out Darth Vader and I said wow this really is the best list. Great job this really was a treat 🎉❤ 💯
Only Vader can top those.
I was actually disappointed in Thanos vs Hulk because the punches felt weak. Hulk has taken punches that sent him flying through buildings. I kind of expected a fight like Abomination vs Hulk or Superman vs Zod style where the power of the two is actually felt through the destruction of the environment around them.
Iron Man vs Thanos was a better fight.
For me it is Skeletor from Masters of the Universe. Every scene that Frank Langella was in was awesome. Honestly I couldn't pick just one scene. But if I did it has to be his monologue when he won and became a god
i totally forgot Tom hardy played Bane, he was awesome, he was totally charming for a villain who was most of the time portait as mindless destructive brute
In 17:52 you can hear spiderman 2099 theme song😳
have any CoD players noticed the person playing the Col. Henry is the voice of General Sheppard in our favorite shooter?
Darth Vader wasnt even at max badassery. In the comics theres the famous quote, "all I am surrounded by is fear and dead men." And precedes to slaughter the entire massive force of rebels surrounding him. Peak vader moment. And then theres his moment with Ahsoka in rebels...
Yeah, but this is a video about movies.
Heath Leadger's portrait of the Joker on TDK is absolutely legendary. I mean you could fulfill the whole video with scenes from him on that film
nice touch with the castlevania tunes
Ludwigs song playing in the background while the scarecrow does his thing was awesome
The Dr. Doom scene was homage to the Akira anime when the character Tetsuo psychic powers awoken, and he began to destroy the staff there in the exact same manner. It was almost a 1:1 shot of the scene.
Didn't know that. Respect.
It’s also pretty similar to a scene in Elfen Lied when Lucy breaks out and just annihilates all the guards.
@@sworn919 I was going to mention Elfed Lied as well, but considering her power isn't telekinesis like Tetsuo (more like invisible hands), Akira might be more on point.
I haven't watched this yet, but the scene with Magneto and the officers in part 1 is easily the best scene in any comic movie ever
Profeon from the first live action D&D movie needs an honorable mention.
Horribly underrated movie!! But I don't think it should be Profion. It should be Damodar... "Oh look... I've cut her. What a shame."
Using that iteration of Cell’s theme from DBZ as the backdrop to a superman villain is so oddly fitting
Ledger's Joker is like a personification of chaotic nihilism from some ancient Greek drama, and he never once loses focus. Euripides would kneel before him in respect. What an amazing piece of acting! Phoenix is fine, but it is all his very human pain - as a survivor of a childhood in a really terrible cult -- being channeled through Joker. There is nothing human about Ledger's.
And yes Vader's march through that corridor has set the standard!
Great list.
Let’s not forget Vader’s badass dad joke at the end. Legend.
If you mean the one about choking on your aspirations, it wasn't at the end, it was about 2/3 to 3/4 of the way through the film.
Willem Dafoe's portrayal as the green goblin is THE BEST VILLAIN CHARACTER EVER.
I recently watched Fantastic Four 2015 and honestly, was not as bad as I expected. I actually really enjoyed it. It's a simple movie and Dr. Doom was a great part of it. I just wish he was able to do a bit more than just "I will destroy your world so mine can live."
Darwin was the most bullshit death for all of the X-Men movies by having him die like that. His whole ability was adaptivity to anything.
Bro facts that shit really pissed me off
Anyone else catch that they messed up green goblins name, said harry instead of Norman
no effort and 494K subscribers lol
I like how three in a row were Wen Wu somehow. Haha. 😂
Willem Dafoe is a Legend!
Darth Vader ruled an entire galaxy. Voldemort couldn’t even take over a high school!
It's hard to trust any opinion video when you get well known characters names wrong.
15:08 Elon Musk made Twitter better by HR-ing all the weirdos out of the company lol so that’s a bad example
I am extremely happy that Fiora was on this list, i know she was with Zod but her character's skills added to the super powers was beautifully perfect and I loved her calm expression all the way too ❤❤❤
It also doesn't hurt that she's smoking hot too.
"baller gangsta jazz" perfect way to describe it but i couldn't help but feel a little latent racism there. "Hi Paul, Hi John, What it do Jamal" type. funny though.
15:42 ..... Apparently Margot Robbie was in Shang Chi as Harley Quinn in a crossover we all missed😂😂😂
Yeah, either that, or we all collectively blinked when she was on screen :P
What you said at 15:50 is EXACTLY right!
if they do Victor Von Doom right....he will be the ULTIMATE villian
1:28 every time i see this scene with those punch i always think about Atlas from Warframe with his 1 😂
they made Hela illogically overpowered. Looked weird that she was sooo overpowered compamred to everyone else.
It is rumored that down the corridors of movie sets, John Wick asked The Joker to teach him how to kill people with a effing pencil
NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN ...Anton Chigurh...TOP 3 Easy...Makes the List look so Irrelevant Now
I'd agree... if this was a list about villains. There's a difference between villains and super villains. Anton Chugurh was a bad ass, but he was merely a human. He is not in the same category as anyone on this list. The only human on this list was the Joker.... and Anton ain't fucking with the Joker. Everyone else had a fictional super power. Anton was a more realistic character. He doesn't belong on this list.
The Justice League's Joker wasn't mocking Batman, he was actually earnestly berating him.
Everything with Thanos was a badass scene even when getting decapitated
ViniiTube: "The dumbest version of Reed Richards."
Gotta love that Old English burn.😂😂😂
The Green goblin is not Harry Osborn that's his son he is Norman Osborn if you're going to Fanboy at least get the names right
Lol
If he brought up Spider-Man 3 or Amazing Spider-man 2 then yeah it'd be Harry Osborn, but considering we're shown No Way Home's Green Goblin it's obvious that it's Norman lmao
On heath ledgers joker role, the scene at 20:40 when he grabs the woman by the head and ask here “do u know how I got these scars?” that whole scene is just Ledger going off script just playing the role, which is also what added to his passing. Jack Nicholson told him it’s a super dark role to play. Heath played it the best imo.
Editing errors, script errors, maybe proof check before posting
The Castlevaina music was awesome with the video.
R.I.P. James Earl Jones the voice of Darth Vader and so many other classic characters.
Even though she was never done well, how could you leave Dark Phoenix off the list?
Good choice on the perfect cell theme in the background
would've loved to seen a fight between hulk and thanos with out thanos having a gem. But that would've ended the movie too soon i guess 🙂 Thanos did stand toe to toe with Hulk for a while though if i recall correctly.
"Death is better than bondage" hits deep in with the ancestral planes.
this seems a lot like clickbait, but, I have to say, it's spot on.
“Oppenheimer fights criminals with a scary mask” 😂
