I was told to keep the heads "closed", try putting an elastic band over the leaves, don't twist the bands, find ones that are about 1 1/2 to 2 inches in diameter. Just pop them over the top when the leaves start to flare out or before. This size of elastic will not impede on the circulation of the plant, just to keep them together. Just like they doo with cauliflower, they fold the leaves over top of them and secure a hair net to keep the sun off of the white heads. I hope this helps.

@@SherSheGrows In the gardens outside, for many years, but I haven't done so with my indoor hydroponics. I would have to find a dwarf version because my cauliflower are huge! One head with outer leaves weighed 4 pounds! I My hydro stands would not have the space for one! Lol!

I just Bought 3 Hydroponic indoor aerogarden's for the first time I'm going to try and grow watercress and spinach, i wonder how long they are going to take normally in soil they can take about 3 to 4 months but now we are talking hydroponics so its going to be a really good experiment . thank you for your video i find your videos very interesting.
