  • Foreigners travel to India, from Mysore to Murudeshwar and then onto Gokarna...but it all becomes a bit too much, we explain all in this video
In this video we take recommendations from our good friend and fellow vlogger Kas who spent 3 years solo travelling India, here is her channel / @travellingyoginikas7682

    OUR JACKERY POWERBANK
We are in fact travelling with a Jackery Explorer 1000 and we LOVE IT! Does what we need. But Jackery have just brought out the NEW Jackery Solar Generator 1500 Pro - which is more powerful and it's quicker charging too. Here are the links to check it out:
    Jackery Official Web: uk.jackery.com...
    Jackery Amazon Store: www.amazon.co....
Our overall plan in India is to travel via rickshaw/tuk tuk from the South to North (if it's possible?) The next leg of our journey is to travel the rest of the way through Karnataka and then up to Maharashta
We feel like we have only just arrived in India, after a crazy time back home doing van life and living full time in our camper van conversion for two years in the UK. But after some serious engine problems that cost us a fortune, we came to India on a mission to honour Liam's Grandad's legacy who sadly died earlier this year. With the inheritance money Liam got from that, we bought the tuk tuk and named it after Liam's Grandad.

If it's getting too hot in South India, you can go to Himalayan regions like Himachal Pradesh and Ladakh. They are very popular summer destinations. For example, Shimla in Himachal Pradesh used to be the summer capital of British Raj. You'd unfortunately have to leave Pete temporarily though and take Trains or Flights.

You know, the real India probably doesn't revolve only around the tourist season. So what if the heat keeps the tourists away, and the beaches are deserted. That is India too. It seems to me that the places where you have the best interactions with the Indian people are where the tourists are not.
I grew up in a small seaside town in Wide Bar (area) in Queensland (Australia) in the 70's. The defining moments of growing up in this area was not the tourist seasons, Sure, tourism was very important for the local economy, but it was the day to day struggles and triumphs that defined that place for me.

i would recommend visitng the cold places in india like ladakh it looks heavenly this time of the year
    second is himanchal pradesh
third is sikkim or darjeeling in west bengal
but ladakh easily tops the list because it is quite and tranquil and just undisturbed nature at its finest with amazing people all the rest are kind of touristy

Years ago I tried to get to Spiti from Rekong Peo but he road was shut due to landslides. I got my inner line permit and in the end I went to the Sangla valley after relaxing at Kalpa. The altitude at the last village in the Sangla valley made just going for a morning walk more of an effort!

The great Indian monsoon will arrive in a month and a half starting from Kerala and heading towards North. The western ghats and the adjacent coast till Mumbai, will experience heavy downpour during this time. But the other part of India should be fine, but plan your trip carefully as some areas are flood & flash flood prone like north east India, Himalayan foothills & gangetic plains.

I’d love to see Goa in the quiet season, your viewers would love anywhere you take us along I’m sure. Make your plans based on your own comfort though, if it’s getting too hot spend some time right by the coast or in the hills where it’s cooler.

The summer in Karnataka is really harsh from mid March to mid May, when the monsoons arrive. Try and stay indoors, from 11 am till 6 pm, drink lots of fluids and keep protected from the Sun. Goa too would be hot and humid, in the summer. I hope you guys survive the summer and you'll be in for some heavenly sights and times, as the monsoons, hit India.

Not the whole of Karnataka. Only the coasts and the North East Karnataka, that's 50%. While the 50% other parts and eastern part of Western ghats will range from 25 - 35 degrees. Rest of India except for couple of hill States is gonna be blazing hot at 40+...

If you are having to pump your brakes, it's very likely you have some air in the system and the brakes need bleeding. You should check the brake fluid level as well to determine if you have a leak which could also account for air getting in to the braking system. Take care, stay safe.

You could visit Marvanthe Beach which is along side national highway-66.
To the one side nh-66 has Marvanthe beach and to the other side it has Souparnika river along the highway
    Its 56 km from Murudeshwar.
You could visit Udupi which is 100km away from Murudeshwar and also known as Temple city Udupi.
    Have a happy journey.

Yes, it is quite hot there in the south. Going north will not be too much different. You have to start including more of the traditionally 'cooling' remedies that so many Indians know about. Look for 'ashgourd' juice, cucumber, coconut, buttermilk and some other drinks and foods that can assist.
