The reason some ppl discourage the use of sage (white sage in particular) is because of increased usage in a lot of new age spirituality, it’s become endangered and unavailable to indigenous communities that traditionally use it and a lot of the white sage on the market now is actually illegally poached from Native American reservations. If you don’t already have a spiritual or cultural connection to white sage, consider purchasing a different cleansing herb to smudge with as there are so many other useful and beautiful smelling herbs as Tony mentioned! (ex. lavender) or if you’d still like to use ethically use white sage, consider purchasing from an indigenous vendor or even growing it yourself, it’s super easy and fun :) thank you for the relaxing and informative video Tony! ❤
