This is awesome! It really shows the potential for this category. I liked the variety of strats that get shown off here, especially with the need to re-enter the chimney.

Thanks guys! Yeah I think that slide clip is not too well known. It was not used in the 120 Star TAS in 2012. I think Snark122 found this strat in 2014. It seems really hard for speedrunners to do it, so that’s probably why it’s not as popular.
I used Dolphin for texture packs. It supports loading Custom PNG & DDS Textures, but some packs only work with specific versions of Dolphin. Anyway, SimpleFlips previewed a mod back in 2018, which was a SM64 WAD running in Wii Virtual Console. The mod included a DDS & PNG Texture Pack by Admentus64, which basically is a port of SM64 texture packs from Risio, Nintemod, Mollymutt, and others. These three & a few others were the ones who made the original texture packs for video plugins on N64 emulators. Though now, I’m sure there are newer people making newer additions. The mod also included Action Replay and Gecko Codes to support Widescreen formats. I used version 2.0 of the pack here: forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-ghostlydark-s-sm64-reloaded-texture-pack-v2-0-0-2021-03-17 Instructions for setup should be in there too. I mentioned 2018 because the pack is still being updated. Though I used 2.0, I still have v1.5 from 2018 lying around, but it will be hard to find since the modding team prefer everyone to use their newer versions. As for how I got an M64 to playback in Dolphin is another long answer lol.
