So to summarize - while some natural disasters might bring the end of our reign, our own stupidity is the biggest threat of all ( + AI... but I guess it would be a consequence of the latter).
AI is just a fantasy. Such a thing does not exist, might never exist, and we have no idea how it would actually work out in practical real life. Most assumptions on this sort of thing are based on fiction or interpretation of ideas... a fantasy which some people (including state officials) are unable to separate from reality at times.

How does AI not exist? If intelligence is defined as application knowledge and skill, then wouldn't any sort of autonomy be considered AI, especially ones with self regulation?
MirceaKitsune AI exists already, the question is just of when they'll be indistinguishable from humans at most tasks.
i mean if you got a person in the early 20th century to talk to an alexa or a google home they would probably entirely believe it was an actual person. Not to mention shit like self driving cars already work and are just having the kinks taken out of them. If you think AI is fantasy and unlikely to ever happen youre sorely in denial
if robots ever do 'turn evil' or are programmed to kill, just give everyone a water gun

Drumisfum That’s not what net neutrality is. It’s not a taxing by the Goverment, but rather private companies. What the Net Neutrality was blocking was Private Companies ability’s to legally act within the United States. Before it was considered illegal for corporations to practically put tariffs on the Internet, but that was because they were marketing to Americans on American Soil. Now though, the government has allowed them to tax, which in no way does that help the common people (Unless you believe in the feudalistic system of down-the-line spending, which as show by the medieval ages, doesn’t work)
