Thank you for the clear brake's instruction, I've also done that a long time ago, but without taking them apart, even more frustrating, one thing for the engine to replace, the distribution gears, you could also replace them with a steel/steel or steel/alloy gear, in place of the steel/fiber, the fiber ones will break after long milage, just to remind succes with the brakes

Interesting video. Those caliper boots did look like a struggle to get on. Where did you get them, so I'll know to look for another source? It's funny, but the service manual says to not split the calipers, as special testing equipment is needed to be sure they don't leak, and special locking fluid is needed on the bolts. However the same manual gives torque specs for the calipers of 45-50 ft/lbs for the inner bolts and 25-30 for the outer. Go figure. I can't imagine trying to rebuild the calipers w/o splitting them, but maybe the Swedes have tiny hands. ;) I'm still doing body work on my Amazon, so am not yet able to tell if my calipers will need work. Good find on the Mazda brake M/C. My '66 Amazon also has singe circuit brakes, at least for now...

I got all the rebuild parts from VP, but I’m sure anyone selling them is using the same supplier. Both the inner and outer boots are marked Made in England.
There is no way I would’ve gotten the crud out of the dust boot lips without splitting the halves open. Hopefully they don’t leak like a sieve when I start to bleed them, but we’ll see.
Fwiw, VP just put the Amazon/1800 dual circuit master on sale for $64 without a reservoir. That’s cheap, and having the pushrod already retained in the MC may be worth it to you.
