I don't think it's fair to blame Harrison for this. He clearly delivered this line at least a couple of different ways. It's not his fault they went with the worst version and used the best one for the trailer
Well, George lucas is a director who makes many decisions. Even in this movie, whitch he did not direct, but was responsible for, his stylistic vision is present. He invented star wars, and he has a creative mind. I think you'll find that had he been given control over the movie, instead of having to bargain with that hack spielberg, he whould have saved the film, and this scene whould be better. probably Jar Jar Binks whould have taken the place of Shia Thaboof, because, Jar Jar is the key to all this.
Harrison Ford is a straightforward person. If he didn't want to do it, he would've said it. Just like he says how he hates playing Han Solo and will only agree to return for The Force Awakens if they kill him off. But about Indy, he's signed up for the 5th one and it's coming out in 2021.
@@Legoskywalker44 i just came back from seeing the fifth and it was good lol, though even when walking out of the theaters i still remembered this clip
Yeah, this is one of those times where George Lucas actually should go back, make some changes and use the cut from the trailer instead of this one. In the insightful intellectual words of the Senate: DEWIT
Theres literally nothing wrong with it. It's exactly the inflection a person would use if answering the same way. A popular UA-cam reviewer made a big deal about it being terrible and now everyone is joining in. Notice the people responding can't even agree on what the problem is. One says his voice is cracking. One says he sounds so bored. And neither of those are true.
Prefer this delivery. Came looking for the trailer version but I thought this delivery was brilliant. A little off kilter, more comical. Like he's saying, "Not really. just part time. " Rather than a cliche "part time" bad ass delivery.
"You're.....the editor? "
"Part time"

Why did they use that take? You know, the worst one.
The scene is so dense.
Its like poetry.
It's stylistically designed to be that way and you can't undo that. But we can diminish the effects of it.

Why did he say it so weird?
the best part is the trailer shows this isnt the only take
I think they dub it for thr movie
All scenes in movies have more than one take.
Leave a comment on this webzone if you want a pizza roll.
I, respectfully, do not at the moment.
They used the bad cut? It's true...all of it.
This kills me every single time
“This kills you?”
“Every time”
@@Tester-sh1mn Well... part time.
It would be better if he said "fart time"
and then also farted
If Shia Lebouf threw a banana cream pie in Harrison's face while playing a slide whistle, "Crystal Skull" would be considered a masterpiece.

Reading it like he's in Blade Runner .
I remember this being so much better done when I watched as an eight year-old...
The cut from the trailer was better.
So weird how the trailer had a better take. Well, same take, just different dubbing. Strange.
You'd think they'd use a take that wasn't... you know... the worst.

Funny thing is I remember the trailer having a better take. Am I mistaken?
Yeah the trailer take was a lot better

The writers: part-time.
He delivered the 'Part time' line better in the trailer

They made him play Indy again. He's in his 80s, leave him beeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Yes, they "made him" play Indy again for 20 million dollars plus box office points. Practically slavery!
