THANK YOU seriously this is my childhood, I am so happy to be able to rewatch this. I recorded this onto an old VHS and watched it so many times as a kid.
Sandra Kaye Hansen considering how hard it is to master these skills it’s pretty normal to try to keep the same routines as long as possible unless the code devalues the skills.
And bars as well. WOGA made it seem like they "discovered" the Chinese pirouettes for Nastia's '08 routine. Wholetime, Hollie had been doing these skills for years.
Wow! Gymnasts really take a beating. I can't believe Courtney Kupets was already recovering from a knee injury at these nationals and she went on to worlds only to compete one day and then rupture her achilles. The physical and mental toughness to come back, compete and medal in Athens '04 was remarkable. Then she went on to compete collegiate gymnastics and do well there as well!
I agree I’ve never seen that tumbling pass before and I guess she stopped doing it because she didn’t I don’t I am I didn’t see her do this in the Olympics or I mean I don’t she’s usually on the bars or the you know you see her that much but I agree with you. Thank you for
Hollie Vice had great form on bars, but she missed almost all of her handstands. By a LOT. She would not be considered a strong bar worker by today's standards at all
@@TsubasaDreams Nadia is kind of not the same thing as she performed back when literally nobody could do a giant. Many were hitting handstands fairly well when Vise competed, and they were supposed to be deducted even under 10, but they generally were lax, but under the new code it is impossible to be lax on that as that is a huge sticking point in the rule book.

OMG... Rest your voice Tim!!!!
Or drink lots of water...
Him with laryngitis was a miraculous thing lol
Chellsie pretty much did the same bar routine her whole career
chickchick0509 if it ain't broke don't fix it
And won the world championships with that routine.

Until now never realized how much Nastias floor routine was not that unique, but similar to Holli Vices’
Same gym same choreographers similar styles,. Not that surprising.

Just realised that too!
I miss when ending floor with a triple was almost standard
Adam Travis now it’s all double pikes lol
Always thought Courtney Kupets had one of the coolest floor routines
Sad Annia Hatch did not win the title!

Was crazy is she ruptured another achilles in college in 2008… and won the NCAA all around national title a year later as a senior!
Courtney Kupets's first tumbling pass was amazing!

Who let Tim commentate with laryngitis?
The fluff on Annia Hatch was good.
Does anyone know the music used in the annia piece?
Unitone Sampler 1 - "Odessa" .... Thomas Newman - "Road to Perdition"
"Please don't talk to me right now" 57:36
Is Chelsie's floor X music's Jaycee Phelps' old music from 1996? X
No. Its not
Exelente perfecto
Karolyis. 🤔
Anyone else despise the code of points during this quad?
Weird how beam was the highest scoring event during this time.
Bolero was not a good music selection for Postel
Always thought her floor was a bit messy
Listening to Tim commentate with his scratchy throat is super irritating
He probably had to commentate lmfaooo😭
He was probably sick, it’s terrible sounding and his voice is already nasally

Lmao by that logic neither would Nadia, who couldn't do a giant. You can't judge past codes and gymnasts using the current one.

@@TsubasaDreamsgiants weren’t even a skill back then because the bars were too close. Are you dumb??
Hey everyone
Hola !!
