I used this template to organize a 30-minute presentation that I gave on Massage for Fall Prevention for the Elderly at an assisted living facility. It went stunningly well. I got several regular clients as a result. Thanks for sharing this practical knowledge; it works!
Thank you for letting me know, Robert. I'm glad it went well! If you haven't yet see my video on Monroe's Motivated Sequence, that's a similar video about persuasive message design.
My tip: Watch Alex Lyon's videos 3 times a day for 3 days & copy out his excellent notes from the description box. Clear & informative without all the annoying chest beating & self promotion. Thank you Alex.
Very concise, polished, yet natural-sounding presentation here Alexander. I just joined toastmasters and am looking for all the tips I can gather, thanks so much for the time and experience that you utilized for this video. Will be using your suggestions in every one of my subsequent Toastmasters speeches.

I've been all over UA-cam looking for practical videos on how to prepare and give presentations. (I'm giving 2 in the very near future.) Yours have been the most helpful by far. I have a roadmap now and am actually feeling excited about giving my presentations! Thank you!!
My best tip before I go to bed is always do your presentation in front of a mirror the day before at least. I’m sure I’m not the only one who suggest this but it was something that stuck with me from school and it’s nice to see what you look and sound like before your presentation.
Oh. Thanks for letting me know. Unfortunately, channels don't have any way to control what ads are shown on their videos. From what I understand, the ads are targeted to the individual watching, not the channel or video. So, other people watching this same video would not necessarily see whatever ad you saw. But you might see the ad on other videos. At least, that's the way I understand it works. It's all a bit of a mystery, honestly.
Hi, Alex! My body is about 30 minutes. Is it better to make three 10-minute parts or six 5-minute parts? Increase time of each part or increase number of parts?
I think it's really hard to answer that abstractly. But, my advice would be to pick the arrangement of main points that is the most memorable and most natural for the content.
Hi Mr. Alex I really enjoy your videos. I have 2 questions; 1. In case of a PHD seminar, can the 3 main ideas of the body just be"Introduction, results, conclusions" or has to be more presice? 2. It is very formal in PHD to introduce my self and my supervisors in the beginning. Shall I follow this tradition?
@@alexanderlyon I also had the same question in my mind.. as i am also pursuing my Ph.D and i have to give my PTC presentation very soon.. i asked to my supervisor that, is it fine to have the attention grabber sequence first before i introduce myself.. he said, you are the presenter.. so if you can pull off in confident manner i dont have any problem its your day..
You will follow that .... add more information because you are going to explain more about your results and that is gonna be the important part. I am a PhD TEACHER
I loved this video, personally it helped me so much in school work, although one thing you can improve in your videos is giving some examples. Personally I'm a visual learner and it would have improved the experience of the video. 👍
I got multiple screenshots of diagrams he used to help explain the process. You can also read over the process below the video. Alex spoke about it, using diagrams AND wrote it all out for us. Maybe he should do your presentation for you. What is he thinking; giving up his time to publish free content for everyone & not even doing your work for you?
Hello Coach Alex in the Thesis in the French système it is sometimes a question and the you respond to your question in the body with details then you sum up in one phrase in the conclusion. It can be like this?

Hi!
I didn't know the answer this question.
What are the suggested ways to grab the audience’s attention? can you answer me?
Sure. I can answer you. I have a bunch of videos on that. If you look up "how to open and close a presentation" you'll see my main video on that.
Oh dear I'm learning from you
Buddy that was awesome. Thank You.
Glad you enjoyed it, Impetus Infinite.
Do you have any of these blank templates available to the public or is it only available in your course?
Just in the course. Sorry.
Is the call to action only for persuasive speeches?
We usually call it simply "next steps" for more informative messages. Bu, some people call it a call to action regardless of the type of speech.
superb....
Thanks a lot, Aim High. I appreciate it.
Would help if you gave some examples for some of the points.
You're right. I can't changed it now, though. Still trying to improve on my newer videos.
