The T mark is top dead center(the Piston is at the top of cylinder), that mark is for setting cam timing. The F is for fire and should be use to set ignition timing. There is also a spring loaded timing advance on the points lobe that you should be able to twist slightly and feel the springs turn it back.
Thanks for this video! I have been working on an old 110cc ATC. I hadn't done this since the early 90's and couldn't remember, not could I find a manual anywhere. Oh, and if you're curious, the fields from the magnets keep the rotor at "F".
I bought a ct90 that ran so so. I'd give it the once over, so I started with a new spk plug, adjusted the points and timed it with a multimeter. Kick kick kick.. nothing! So I tore the carb apart, cleaned everything and reinstalled it.. Kick kick nothing. Tore the carb apart again, checking everything and made sure there were no air leaks. Kick kick.. nothing! Does it have spark? That's a stupid question, it's a new plug! So I checked the spk. No spark. I cleaned and gapped the old rusty plug.. it produced a strong blue spark. It fired right up and now runs beautifully. Lesson learned.. Never assume that a new plug has spark. 😃
this has nothin to do with timing but heres my question wat would cause a 110 to smoke i changed the piston an the rings but still smokes and its blowing oil out the exhaust pipe

It MAY,, the timing mark may just be in a different spot but the concept is the same. im about 98% sure it will work for your trx90

THANKS SIR

The valve ceal on the exhaust valve
does that work on all honda 90 and 110 motors because i have a 2002 trx90 with bad timing
I have. A honda110 and i set my marks and still. Won't. Fire
Cdi
eh, its a spare/parts motor. im not too worried about it
this vid does not give enough info
