- Not just CT90.. same goes for all of the carbs on these Honda, Yamaha, and similar bikes of 90cc, 50cc, 110cc etc. Same for chinese carbs.
Great video! My CT110 carb rebuild kit just arrived so perfect timing for your video to pop up!
Thanks , I did not look at the emulsion tube but I will now thanks to your video . Well done 👍
Thanks. i have taken apart more than 50 carbs.... and i did forget the emulsion tube on my CT90 and Honda 125M. Great video.
Very nice Keith! Just bought a CT90K2 (1970) and am enjoying tinkering on the old girl.
Another trick to clean the main-jet and emulsion-tube holes is using a wire tie-tie found loafs of bread- they're just the right size... Thanks for the info and take care!
Fantastic... thanks, you helped me get my C90 running better
I learned something today, thanks. I did not know about the oring
The top has a rubber washer...not an oring. The 'pin' thing is called a slide. Reving out of control can also be because you put the side in backwards and it was forced in a
much higher position resembling wide open throttle. There is a 'pin' inside the carb that you align the groove on the side. Rule of thumb... the 'cut away' on the slide ALWAYS goes
toward the air filter. Another air leak can be due to the 'air cut valve' not having the black nylon screw over the shaft. It's sucking air without it on the side of the carb.
Good Luck
Great info and video. Thank you so much for sharing.
I've got similar issues with my ct90 revving too high on idle. I'm going to check my carb for these issues right now!
Really informative video!
I just wanna say thanks dude..👍👍👍
Well done . Thank you . Ethanol fuel is to be avoided as it will cause damage to the entire fuel system guaranteed. In addition ethanol fuel will cause the air/fuel ratio to lean . You meet the nicest people on a Honda!
Gracias maestro good video
my 90 honda atv has round bowl plastic float will this one work to
Thanks
I'm looking for the top half of a ct90 carb. But the 4 bolt hole..not the 2 bolt hole. Do you have any to spare?
EBay bub.
What is the purpose of the hole under the o ring on the flange that mates to the manifold. I notice the o ring does not fully cover the hole.
I am wondering about this also. Is it just for cleaning out the internal passages? Does it need to be sealed because the o-ring doesn't quite cover it?
Anybody know also wondering?
How do you remove the choke for cleaning/my choke doesnt work.
Been a while since I worked on these. Sorry, I don't remember.
Any experience on if my bike doesn’t run off choke?
That usually means that there is a problem with the pilot circuit. Remove and check the pilot jet and the pilot air screw. Make sure the jet is not clogged and that the air passage in the carb is clear.
You would happen to have carb for a 1979 CT 90 would you.
No, sorry.
I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that i bet it takes this guy 10 minutes to make the PERFECT 3 minute egg . Spit it out dude ........ great info just ....took forever
Does the carb have to be removed to do the cleaning or can it be done in place? What makes the most sense?
There's not much you can do without removing it. You definitely can't do a complete service.
@@kefrh I suspected that. Thank you very much for letting me know. I have one that needs cleaning- just from sitting for too long. I got some good ideas from your video on what to do- thanks for that too.
I do not like this!!!!
