- When the Sony ZV-E10 was released I wasn't that excited. But I think Sony did a good job giving us a nice compact aps-c camera. The ZV-E10 has some cool features, and some flaws of course.

And now time to put a 13k telephoto lens on it... TBH a lot of vendors actually sell the body with the 10-18mm in a vlogger package with the lens at reduced price instead of the kit lens... kit lens is still OK for content creators that do not film themselves
Looks like a nice camera. I have Sony RX10 3, if you would compare those two, what you think?
Depends on what you use them for. The ZV-E10 has a larger sensor which means better depth of field and better low light performance (plus the ISO range is slightly larger on the ZV-E10 going all the way to 32,000). It also allows you to interchange lenses. Although, the lens on your RX10 is a 24-600 equivalent, which is a great zoom range. And having the f/2.4-4 aperture isn't too bad either. If you want the flexibility to use higher end lenses or want better DOF and low light performance, I'd say the ZV-E10 is a great option. If none of that seems appealing to you, then your RX10 sounds like it does a nice job already.
what settings and picture profile did you use on your zv1 to film the talking head stuff? most of the footage looked like you were blurry af!
maybe because you're shooting in 1080p and I'm on 4k tv?
Yeah, my videos are uploaded as 1080, but I also had an autofocus mishap during the shoot. So some of those shots look extra blurry I'm sure.

Thank you! Yeah, the ZV-1 would be better for you. I use it for my outdoor stuff all the time.
Can you edit the rolling shutter out? If so with what program? Or you can’t and that’s why people are making it a big deal?
Unfortunately there is no way to edit out the rolling shutter effect. The best advice if you have a camera with this issue is to avoid quick panning motions. That is where you will notice it most. But, as you can see, all the rest of the video where I used the ZV-E10 didn't have the rolling shutter problem.

Does rolling shutter occur in 1080p resolution too?
Yes
The ZV-E10 is nice, I like the flexibility of the interchangeable lenses, but what I actually want is a ZV-2. Similar form factor as ZV1 but with a wider lens, a better battery (okay with a modest improvement so you don't have to make the camera much bigger) a brighter screen so you can see it in bright sunlight, and a stronger ND filter. Better stabilization and 4k 60 would be icing on the ZV-2 cake. I would be willing to pay a bit more for these improvements.
I agree with all of that. I still love my ZV-1. I didn't really feel like this ZV-E10 was the "ZV-2"
Sony has stopped production of zv e 10..
Yes, this is because of supply chain issues. Nothing to do with the quality of the camera. They have halted production of several items unfortunately.
@@RickEvansTheThird Rick can you please do a video on using zv e 10 for wildlife photography.. I think you'll be the first ones if you do so.. Literally there is no review on zv 10 for wildlife..
@@Zeeshanmys Seems interesting. I think the reason no one has done a video like this is because the camera doesn't have the usual specs a good wildlife camera would have. But, that doesn't mean it wouldn't be good. I'll take it out with me to shoot some wildlife and see how it goes. Thanks for the idea! I'll let you know how it turns out.
