Watching the process to overcome the uncertain "its ugly" phase of my collage. This is inspiring. Beautiful
Thanks for showing a chaotic process, I bet we can all relate to that ❤
Jess, I can appreciate the need to walk away from a page, when we lose that creative flow. To comeback a month later, and turn around and deliver amazing results....now offers me the encouragement and value to revisit those pages that were more of a challenge to complete.
Yes, sometimes it’s better to let go and come back again to see if you get new inspiration. But also let go of pages that doesn’t work out and be okay with that. I have those as well. ☺️thank you 🌸
This time I really thought it would be impossible to finish it… But of course I was very wrong.
You’re unbelievably clever and talented and it became absolutely gorgeous!
Jessica, This page is so beautiful. I needed the reminder that there is always a glimmer of light, no matter how dark it may be. Thank you for sharing your art with us. I look so forward to your videos. Hoping you continue to find inspiration.

I’m new to art journaling, and I enjoyed your video. The music was an added bonus. However, I have a question. Gesso and matte gel confuses me. Why did you start with gesso, and then switch to matte gel? 🙂
Thank you so much 💗You use gesso to prime the paper, when you are using old books and a wet medium as spray or watercolor the paper is going to get easily destroyed. You can also work with watercolor paper then the paper is much heavier and you don’t prime with gesso. This will give you a different effect. I use gel medium as an glue. You can also use other kind of glue, like glue sticks or modge podge, school glue. Any glue that dries clear. Gesso doesn’t work as glue very well, yes you can get papers to stick in wet gesso but the thicker paper the harder it will be. I hope this explains a bit.
@@JessonArt Oh, I understand now. Thank you! ❤️
I miss your videos. Hope you are doing well.
Thank you ☺️ I’m okay, I just hit a wall and it’s not fun anymore. A lot of work stress is not helping. But I hope I will be back in the new year. Happy holidays 🎄☃️
Totally understandable. Hope we'll see you back in 2024. Happy Holidays to you too@@JessonArt
I found it so "prafant", that, I own a "gallon" of GLUE!!! I mean, when will it ever be finished?!lol
Very pretty . I’m a new subbie and am a crocheter as well as a mixed media artist and card maker. Hope you’ll stop by hand enjoy my stuff ❤😊🇨🇦
Thank you so much and welcome to my channel 💗 crochet sounds like fun someday I will give it a go🤗
It seems like a bit of a wasteful process, as areas that appear to be working get covered over and are lost?
Art journaling is a process, it’s very personal and may not appeal to everyone. Yes sometimes things get covered up by accident, or because you get a different idea in the moment. And that okay.
