Fresh food, meals with family and no we didn't eat pasta and pizza every day. I atrribute these healthy european habits instilled in my from a young age and why I am fit with no weight problems and have good skin at 62. Someone told me recently, "If you have a french women or italian women cook for you, you are truly blessed". Love your channel.
I am 47 and have been going through perimenopause. I noticed that whole foods, vegetables, protein and pulses is the only thing my body can process. I have even lost weight! As my kids are now older and more Independent, I have more time to take long walks, workout. I truly believe that I felt worse while raising little kids.

Trying to eliminate meat for health reasons, my husband is diabetic and I am dealing with a menopausal belly. Do you and your mom have a cookbook/meal plan. I watched your videos on balanced meals, which is helpful. But I have to have a recipe to follow, I don’t know how to throw this in that together to make a delicious nutritious meal😂

I'm seventy five years old but didn't go through menopause until I was fifty five . You are the best . I did have to take nutrition when I got my culinary degree but I have learned so much from your channel. I do eat meat but not every meal and not everyday.

My husband and I do eat boneless, skinless chicken breast with dry rub. The only other meat I eat is salmon or shrimp once a week. I am obsessed with your channel - !!!

However, I've been forced to approach my beloved desserts with moderation. And moderation now looks like no sweets during the week and then allow myself two desserts per weekend. Your mother looks so beautiful..Does she limit her sweets as well?
Thank you so much, glad you enjoyed! She eats less than before but she doesn’t feel like she is restricting. I think the key would be not to save your sweets for weekend and have a few different ones throughout the week so you don’t feel like you are spending multiple days without them!
Eating in a healthful manner is always good advice. But specifically to remain thin as we age, and our metabolism slows down, and our need for calories is reduced, I have found there are two main things. First, reduce portion sizes. Second, identify the foods that cause you to gain weight and limit how much of them you eat. Yes, this is similar to “eat in moderation,” but, as we age, “moderation” inevitably means “less.”

Beautiful mom. Great video, I love the interview with your mom. I don't know if your mom uses or not hormones, but that makes a big difference. The menopause tummy is a real thing even in skinny, active, healthy people, I am not sure if in France this is a problem. Also mineral absorption is also a big problem. Love the video.

Something that is never mentioned in these French diet videos is how much the French smoke...and when you smoke, your appetite is dramatically decreased.
Not true. I smoked for 40 years and ate like a pig. Now I quit smoking and have a very low appetite. Also things like eggs and meat don’t appeal to me anymore. 👍
Nuts are very healthy but lately I've only been eating nut butters because everyone keeps saying that you have to soak nuts overnight that you can't just eat them out of the container not to sound lazy but I stopped eating nuts because I thought it's too much of a hassle to have to soak them overnight is there any truth to this? Supposedly if you eat nuts without soaking them the anti-nutrients prevent mineral absorption from other foods?
How do they eat so clean? Like grated carrots with lemon juice? Fish? 🤔. Idk. I am practicing mental health of changing using food as my coping mechanism along with subliminal meditation

Yes you need to deactivate phytic acid, just soak them overnight in brine, 12 hrs, hardly difficult.
