My college roommate would sometimes slap a random horror movie on my desk from his DVD collection. Most of them I had never heard of at the time, and a lot of them are still pretty obscure today. The ones I can remember are Dead Alive, Return of the Living Dead, Re-Animator, Brain Damage, Street Trash, Evil Dead 1 + 2, Slither, and Idle Hands. He had a special fondness for Street Trash though because he planned on doing public service work with the homeless as a career.
Wow, Lee this is the homeless exploitation movie which I remember listening to the review of it on Cult Film In Review. Cult Film In Review is a still active podcast that has 4 guys reviewing movies determining if it’s a well made movie or if it’s a poorly made movie, along with make a sensible determination of substance if it’s a cult movie or not. They have reviewed Hocus Pocus, Last Action Hero this year, Big Trouble In Little China, Anaconda, Congo, True Romance, (1993) Super Mario Brothers, etc.
I saw Street Trash covered in horror magazines of the day and it sounded insane. And when I saw it it blew my mind. Well now this movie hits me differently because I was homeless 2014-2015 and can identify with these characters. But life and situations were not as funny as those in the movie. And nobody cut-off my 🍆 either!😦 Anyway good review and cool video Lee!👍
1987, the year I was born, in November. “Street Trash” is one I’ve never heard of, and you’re right Lee, you rarely hear of nor see films based on the homeless let alone television series. If it’s on Tubi, I’ll check it out when I can thank you for this video review. Your fur baby, Levi is extremely adorable Lee, the animal lover in me definitely improves.🐾🤍🐾
Cute doggo in the beginning. Yeah, this movie really does feel like something Lloyd Kaufman and Troma would do. Hell, the fat guy even makes me think of the mayor in the original Toxic Avenger. Very cheesy, but fun movie. Glad you enjoyed it. Thank you, Lee.
Glad you eventually got round to seeing it Lee. I love Street Trash, my wife hates it 😂. The characters in this are brilliant. My favourite scene is when Fred taunts Wizzy to get him to drink the viper
I watched street trash for the first time last month with my best friend, we loved the concept and the social commentary but it completely lost us in the second half. I was pretty much done with it after the scene with the high society woman in the junkyard but we still finished bc the first half had us hooked. Started out like an EC comic
When I was homeless here in Rochester NY I don't recall there being a top guy. But those that did tried to work, had worked stable jobs before or had a career were looked upon with a bit more respect. By the way I came here 12 years ago to have a better life. I'm a x-ray tech and speak 4 languages. The thing is that as soon as I got here the government mistook me for somebody with my same name and ruined my life. I ended homeless and lost my career in the medical field. My family turned their back on me. I can't even count with my family!😭 Anyway the hospital in which I was a patient helped me get an apartment in this building. Then I found a job as a translator. The government? I sued the mf and the corrupt judges did a slick trick to stop the 3 cases. The government never faced me in open court as they would 100% surely lose. They owe me $3.2 millions in compensation for damages and loses to put it in just 2 words. At least my life now it's stable.
Director Jim Muro has certainly done all right for himself with his steadicam expertise... Dances With Wolves, Terminator 2, Heat, L.A. Confidential, Titanic and many more... Street Trash remains his funniest work though!
Aaaaaaw, Levi! ❤ I live for these deep cut, Retro Reviews!
They’re fun!
this movie and toxic avenger are The most INSANE 80S HORROR

Remember watching Street Trash and Body Melt 1993 really gory fun movies!! Great review Thanks
Thank you!
Tubi is Great but Levi is awesome; Levi is my equivalent to “more cowbell”!😂
I saw this on DVD back in the day. Tubi does have alot of great horror films I'm gonna watch The Craft really soon & re evaluate it. 😊
Yeah I'm on Tubi constantly now.
80'ler sineması sonsuza kadar uzanan bir acayiplikler,aşırılıklar, tuhaflıklar okyanusu adeta...
Agreed!
Levi Rules!
It was filmed around the Greenpoint section of Brooklyn, New York when it was pretty gritty and sketchy. It's now a haven for hipsters.
Awesome!
Love this movie! One of my very first VHS rentals.
Everyone watch "Hobo with a Shotgun" One of my favorite movies
I’ve been meaning to watch that one!
Crazy, disgusting, bizarre... right up my alley!

Nice!
I need to re watch this movie.
😂 i almost watched this last night on Tubi
My wife made me watch this a few years ago. A gritty and grimy body horror gem! The amputated penis scene was nuts.
That scene was crazy haha!
Levi still going how cute I remember him in videos like six years ago 😂 cute dog
Yeah he's 14. Still acts like a puppy.
Hey Levi🥰🥰
Tony darrows first movie of goodfellas and sopranos fame
I recognized him immediately.
I've thought you done this one already. Guess I was wrong.
Nope. First time I’ve seen it.
You might be thinking of Savage Streets.
Don't they toss around a severed pen!s in this movie??? LOL!
Shit I forgot to mention that!!
The remake looks really bad on the trailers I’ve seen
Agreed.
I’ve tried twice. I just get bored with this.
