    lovely tutorial but you didn't show what you do with the top of the tumbler? how do you finish it so that it is safe to drink from the top?

    OMG!!! Looks so awesome!! 👏🏽👏🏽
    Wonderful tutorial
    I was laying in bed last night thinking about tumblers and I said to myself “I wonder if fabric works good on tumblers?”
    because I have an influx of fabric and then I seen your UA-cam this morning!!
    I’m so excited to try this!
    thank you so much for your video!

      Thanks! I don't see why you couldn't. Might have to trim and pull the fabric around all the curved edges a little more but I think it'll work 🤔

    I am interested in making these but I was wondering what you used to attach your Tumblr to while applying the epoxy?? What makes them spin?

    I've been trying to find a way to keep the little corners of the vinyl down and not lifting when adding resin epoxy. Going to try to put a first layer of mod podge and see if it works. Thanks for the tutorial

    • @CreativelyErica
      @CreativelyErica  2 роки тому

      Yes, they're so fun once you get the hang of 'em! Thanks for watching! I got these from Avery, ordered online when I had a coupon. But I've also printed them at home before to save money whenever I don't have coupons if I run out. So if you buy the sticker paper template and you have a decent printer, you can print your stickers on their sticker paper- super handy!

  • @RainorShine1

    How does the fabric not to start to peel on the top when u dont cut the fabric down away from lip as the resin dont seal it if you leave fabric to the edge. I see ppl use edge cuter then glitter. Love this way but not sure if fabric lift on top

    Hi I was going to try this, but with a didgeridoo instrument. It’s fibreglass underneath. I want to use material to have a finish like with your tumbler. I am trying to avoid the ‘wet material look’. Do you think that would work?

    Awesome 👌...wondering if glitter glue would work to put fabric instead of mod podge?? Also I bought brite tone, since I've heard it's better than epoxy. Could I use that instead? If you were to glitter or add vinyl, when would you do this? Thank you 😊

    • @CreativelyErica
      @CreativelyErica  2 роки тому +1

      Glitter glue should work, don't see why it wouldn't. Let me know how you like the Brite tone, I haven't tried that yet so I couldn't tell ya. & if I were adding vinyl, I'd add it after the tumbler is perfectly smooth (after a few coats of epoxy). If I were adding glitter, you could add that after the first coat I'd say. Hope this helps!

    • @karensmith3881
      @karensmith3881 2 роки тому

      @@CreativelyErica ok...I've seen 1 or 2 people (videos) use brite tone, but I'm like...man it's like 8-12 coats all together. It's suppose to be better than epoxy for your lungs, smell and you don't need gloves when applying. I was curious if you've ever tried it as well with epoxy. I'll give it try...thank you 😊

    How long do you let the cup sit to cure fully after the last layer and what kind of epoxy do you use? I just started making my own cups and after my last layer and letting the cup sit 24 hours it still seems a little tacky.

    those "little squares" of fabric are called fat quarters. And wouldn't it be easier to measure the tumbler and cut the material to size....?
