    If only they made a Spider-Man movie back in the 80s Michael J. Fox would've been perfect for the role of Peter Parker

    Always a joy to see this man. He's smart, witty, and a fighter - not letting his illness get the better of him. Of course, having his family is so important. He's a lucky man indeed!

    It’s amazing to watch him here..unknown to him his fate, future was sealed. Of course one would’ve seen or been able to put it together at the time..but you can see the tics even then.

      Oh, he knew at this time. Every time there's a tic, he does something with that hand or hides that hand. Such a wild, devastating disease to have and I commend the man for doing his craft for as long as he did and even venturing back into it a little bit many years later. He's so far advanced now tho. Still a great personality and a great person that didn't deserve such an affliction. But the silver lining in it is he shows us how something like that shouldn't be what defines you and it definitely doesn't define him. But the way he's carried himself all these years is commendable.

    'Tiny terror that ruled the set of Family Ties" sounds like a hilarious tabloid title. Doesn't even sound offensive, one thing I noticed about Michael's books is he is able to poke fun at himself a lot.

    I hate that he has Parkinson's he missed out in movies in 90s 2000s 2010s and 2020s where he should have been on top especially in his older years

    Fox had the teen image on him for a very long time.
    And I've only realised that he's Canadian. I thought he was American.
    The fact that the crowd aren't laughing after every sentence should have told me this really.

    What was the exact date of this interview? Michael was filming Doc Hollywood in the fall of 1991 when he first noticed there was a problem, did he know by this point?

    • @folkert2938
      @folkert2938 3 роки тому +3

      We only know that this was in 1991. This was the year of diagnosis. Fox is born in june 1961 and he said he got diagnosed when he was still 29. So he was diagnosed with it in the first half of the year. Filmings for Doc Hollywood are not in fall 1991 like you said though, it was recorded in 1990 and early 1991. Fox said he noticed a twitch in his left little finger when he was on set.
      But at the time of this interview, chances are high he already had symptoms. You can see that he tries to avoid using his left hand. So yeah, he was probably aware that he had his left little finger moving

    • @Lovethemseventies
      @Lovethemseventies 3 роки тому +1

      @@folkert2938 Ah OK thanks. I read his bio and thought he said he noticed the twitch in the fall but must be wrong. Life is cruel sometimes, to get it at 29 is horrible. He has still managed to have a great career though, good on him.

    • @folkert2938
      @folkert2938 3 роки тому

      @@Lovethemseventies Well, that could be true. He could have experienced symptoms in fall 1990 while filming Doc Hollywood, and he went for a check in the first half of 1991 and got diagnosed with it

    • @Lovethemseventies
      @Lovethemseventies 3 роки тому +1

      @@folkert2938 Yes I meant to say fall of 1990 in my original post. That was when the finger twitch started, it was 1991 when he was diagnosed. I wonder whether he knew by the time he did this interview? He did an interview in 1991 with Bobby Wygant and was struggling with his leg.

      This was indeed a bad interview on Arsenio's part, and he gereally is not the greatest interviewer, but he's had some good showings. His strength was his monologs and his show in general. It was very unique and entertaining. But yes I agree he could've done a better job at interviewing his guests.
