- Two girls & a 4WD on the world's largest sand Island.... What could go wrong??!!
Two of my most favourite things to do are 4wding & camping on the beach and theres no better place to do that than Queensland's own Fraser Island.
This trip I'm joined by my friend Jess who has done a bit of camping before but nothing like this! We hired a 4WD from Rainbow Beach Adventure Centre with some camping essentials for a few days and went rouge. We checked out a few of the must see stops;
- Maheno ship wreck
- Champagne pools
- Lake Allom
- Eli Creek
- Lake Mckenzie
- Central Station
- Lake Birrabeen
Our last night on Fraser Island massive storm warnings came over so we treated ourselves to a Eco glamping tent at the Beach Camp retreat.
If you've ever wanted to try 4wding or even just getting over to Fraser island we highly recommend doing so. It was absolutely beautiful and we cant wait to go back and see more of the Island. Did you know there are over 100 fresh water lakes on Fraser Island!!?! How lucky we are to live in such a naturally beautiful country.

Great trip. Makes me want to go back there. My wife and I did a day tour from Noosa back in the '90s on a bus that had a *lot* of rust on the underside. Lake Mckenzie was the highlight for us, but obviously there is so much more to explore beyond the confines of a tour!
You should get back there with a hire 4wd and check it out for yourself. So much more to see then what the yours show.

Great stuff - thanks for taking the time and posting. Its good topography all around and nice to see the Drone shots from up on high. Its been about 25 years since I was last up there in my own FJ60 LandCruiser and stayed at a friends shack at Eurong. Yeh a bit slack of me given that I live in Brisbane. Considering 90% of the comments on this post are about video quality I’d say that the subs were earned from hours spent filming and editing to create the content for the last 6 months. We’re in Australia, on the beach and it’s summer. It’s hot and anyone would be in their togs. If it was a guy with his shirt off no one would consider that sexual at all yet it’s the same thing. At the end of the day no ones making you watch the content except you.
@@TiffanyLawrence That maybe what you're doing but please don't pretend you don't instantly have a higher chance of success on the platform because you're attractive women making videos for a traget audience that is mostly made up of men. There's a reason why women earn on average 37% more in revenue on youtube than men do. I used to run a reasonably successful channel myself so please don't try treating me like the average mug that just watches. Your vids are good but don't pretend you don't have a massive advantage.

Well driven, interesting because they shut the island down not long after you filmed because of that fire. Moreton Island next !
Yeah they did. The fires got somewhat under control when we were there because of the storms we had a night but then a few days after we left the winds came back up. Im sure it will grow back stronger then ever and be just as beautiful there.

Great video I’ve always wanted to go but been scared, how was the first time in sand? Easy to learn ?
Hey Brian, this was my second time driving on sand. I’ve been in a car on sand heaps though so knew what to expect. Rainbow beach adventure centre explained where to drive and we took our time with things. We had no issues.
