Do you think this setup would be fine with a 15.6 5lbs laptop?
How does one tighten the pivot joint at the back so that the laptop doesn't face downwards towards the desk? The center tork didn't seem to do this for me.
Hi man, this is one I found, It ll work like yours?
Totally have a question- how low does your laptop go? Like if you wanted to have it just a bit above the desk? Every SINGLE setup like this that I've seen has the laptop way up in the stratosphere, and when I calculate how high off the desk surface the bottom edge of the display would be- it's frequently higher than would be ergonomic for me. Are you showing the full height range in this video?
Arrrggghhhh they discontinued the laptop mount! The arm looks great but their new mount won’t work for my midi controller. Darn it. Thanks for the video💚
Darn it, damyum Robin
Do you think it Can be used to mount books and tablets aswell?
I would not recommend it. Tablets would be too light for this level of tension in the arm.
How's the stability? When you are typing or using the desk in someway, does the laptop shake at all?
I think that I can see more movement in my monitor, than in this arm. Anything that is not sitting directly on the desk will have some movement. Your best bet is to try different products and then return the ones that you don’t like. I’m happy with this setup.
you prolly dont give a damn but does someone know a tool to get back into an Instagram account?
I stupidly lost my password. I love any tricks you can offer me
@Alexzander Nathaniel Instablaster :)
@Caspian Louis i really appreciate your reply. I got to the site through google and im in the hacking process atm.
Takes quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.
@Caspian Louis it worked and I now got access to my account again. I am so happy:D
Thanks so much you saved my ass !
I need something like this for a second keyboard. Any suggestions? Would prefer a wall mount.
Sorry, I don’t have any experience with wall-mounted ones.
@@Outlaw_SEO are there any desk ones that have a decent tilt?
Ergotron on Amazon seem to be high quality, but they are not cheap.
Hi, how are the 2 screws holding up right now?
Perfect
If I put a arm like this on my desk will it break? How do I know if my desk is sturdy enough for this??
I can’t imagine any desk that wouldn’t be able to hold this arm.
where you find this adapter plate and what is the name ?
I got it from Uplift with the whole kit (the arm and the base). Hit up their customer support. They’ll be able to help.
@@Outlaw_SEO thank you but do you have something else to suggest me because im in europe
Unfortunately, I don’t know what is available there. If you do a local Google search for the arms - most of them are similar. You just need to pay attention to the weight rating (both minimum and maximum) - to fit your specific laptop. Sorry that I can’t help more. My search results that I could share, would be based on the US market.
i can belive that you set up like. me
Gotta make space for pickle Rick
For sure!
I screwed in a PC shelf under the desk to house my surge protector and added a modified and painted pvc pipe to organize my cables
@@jackryan4073 That’s a great idea. I should also mount the surge protector to the desk. Then the reset height issue goes away.
Mounting was my first thought, but my cat likes to chew cords... For her safety I hid the entire surge protector. Side note: if you have a UPS, the PC shelf works perfect. Just make sure you pick a size that accounts for the cords.
