It makes me mad that to this day toyota is still the only company that dos not put lights on all their window switches or door lock switches. You can find a similar situation on most Lexus vehicles too
I have the car and its a really great aggressive looking beautiful ride but one thing i can say is sound cancellation can be a bit better considering latest models otherwise extremely reliable my just hit 280km mark and it is flawless only thing replaced was a light bulb apart from basic maintenance.
I have a black XSE. I put some black wrap on the machine portion of the wheels to give it the looks of the midnight shade edition. I love this car and use the weather radar map frequently. I'm coming from owning a Lexus GS 450 HYBRID which has way too many miles...It was time for something randnww and practical...and I thought getting this Corolla XSE would be a downgrade but with all of the tech I have..the great MPG range and the sporty aggressive look with the LEDs...I feel like I'm in a more techy Lexus after all. *EDIT...I love starting this car with Alexa..I also have alexa only Samsung S3 watch and I feel so cool asking Toyota to start my car via my watch. My only complaint is that I ha e no Android Auto. But I'm sure I will get a way around that soon.
The new gen Corollas are quite nice, far better than the "reliable boring transport" the nameplate has long been associated with. I just wished it had more power - a ~210hp sport model like a Civic Si or Golf GTI would be amazing for the Corolla since it will be more reliable & cheap to operate.
@Richard Favreau for most people. If you want to live in a world like that, you're welcome to move to India or China. If you're in the shoes of a car enthusiast, the need for power is beyond justification.

The newer generation Corolla are premium compacts. It kind of reminds me of the discountinued Volvo S40. All the Corolla xse needs a turbo inline 5 motor and AWD and they would sell like hotcakes.

Love the looks of the car, except my one major complaint is the big ass infotainment center. There’s definitely a few ways they could’ve gone about that without resorting to just Tacking it on the center like that.
@Richard Favreau Car companies have started doing this because it cuts down on costs. Rather than molding the dash to hold a sleek infotainment center they can just tack it on like a tablet and call it a day
@@Mrcool179 that and its higher in your field of view. And ease of updating it in a newer model since the dash isnt moulded to a certain size. They can tack on a 15 inch iPad if they want to with this setup.
Keep in mind the driver is a tall man and he had the driver's seat adjusted for his driving position. Still despite being a tall man, he could sit behind himself. Not bad at all.

9:30 so the infotainment still keeps crashing. Had that in 2013 Corolla, and I see that they still didn't fix it. on top of that, they made it so it's impossible to install an aftermarket unit
It wasn't a rough gear shift it was just that he yanked the shifter and that is all you heard. I drove one of these and you can just as easily put it in drive, reverse, park without a sound.

Hyundai/Kia still has so many engine problems. My wife's 2019 hyundai Tucson already had 2 engine replacement even if it's still around 84,000 KMs. Maintenance is done regularly and she babied that car. But even with regular maintenance, a factory defect is a factory defect at the end of the day.
I don't know if you take requests, but do you think you could get your hands on a Tacoma double cab long-bed TRD sport? Just curious as to how it would drive considering that the wheelbase is only 5 inches shorter than that of a Tundra double cab with the standard bed, and both trucks share the same turning diameter. I am also curious if such a long midsize truck would still poses the midsize feel, or would it be cumbersome.
The corolla is a lot more comfortable, it’s rides as good as the Camry does and with the suspension tuning there’s very little body roll. At higher speeds the corolla and the civic are about equally quiet. Quality hands down goes to the corolla, it’s more of a premium car then the civic, pretty much everywhere you touch is soft. And the corolla is more fuel efficient

@@recreationalstudios it's great on gas. Handles nicely in the snow. Warms up quickly. Haven't been able to take it on a nice long road trip due to travel restrictions. But I have absolutely no complaints.

This is why I drive Hyundai Sonata because I think they have better suspension it’s more of a luxury tune than a sporty tone.

Alot of road noise got it for rental was a brand new one but too much road noise but handles very well from previous gen

How do you get full navigation on yours? Mine has the bigger screen too but when I touch the MAP button, it’s says app not installed.
It's an optional JBL system that has built in GPS and twitters in the pillars. It also has wireless charger by the seat warmer switches.
if you have apple carplay or android auto connected, press the MAP button and it will go to google maps, WAZE, or apple maps.

@@lucifernebulae Gear by gear, not direct from park to drive. It will cause a lot of friction on lever, overtime the transmission will get damaged.
