I have one too , I pay 243 a month w 0 down it accelerates nice for a 4 banger around 147HP and about 132lb/ft of tq it’s fwd and is efficient with the horsepower it has, depending on the wheels with the trim level it’s puts the power down better, all and all nice reliable smooth ride, with a little something something for the highway when you need it !

I respect this CVT because the fake shifts seem to mimic a torque converted automatic rather than naively program sudden upshifts and creeping downshifts while accelerating.
The Hyundai Elantra has not changed, except that there is a limited version, that has leather interiors, has a sunroof or moonroof, pushbutton starting, the engine is a 2.0 engine, built in spoiler on the trunk lid,.

gil zur they did really well with the materials for the price point of this car. There are $50,000 cars that don’t look this good on the inside. It can’t be all leather and metal for the $20,000 range.

If you don't want an Elantra with a CVT, both their sport mode and eco modes have Automatic transmissions, which if I buy another Elantra, i'll be going with one of those models to avoid CVT.

What you got a problem with people trying to use the Force?
To show that the trunk opens without touching anything when approaching the car with the key on your body. It's kinda tough to explain that without speaking :D

Why all the hate that it has a CVT?
Probably because of their reputation as being unreliable. Not the worst type of automatic transmission by a long run, however.
@@victor_gradinaru Honda and Toyota both have been making CVTs for a while now. That reputation for poor reliability could've risen from Nissan's CVTs, maybe?
@@dave_riots yeah. We've got a 2013 Accord. 128k miles. Cvt is just fine. It's a Nissan thing
@@dave_riots Quite possibly so. I'm a fan of double-clutch transmissions, CVT's aren't necessarily my area of expertise.

lorenz carl we only buy Toyota’s and Honda’s in this segment. VW tries to reach some share in market with Jetta, but they cannot handle the confidence that the japaneses bring. In that scenario, Hyundai left the market, selling only SUVs and things like that

When you realize that a Honda Civic Touring sedan is more expensive, has less features, a much shorter warranty, and no rebates, it becomes a much better value.

eriksven Kia and Hyundai spent a ton of time developing the CVT which I think sounds and feels a lot better then Toyota or hondas
And Nissan I have a 22 Kia Rio and the cvt feels great
