Just in case anyone's wondering, you can 100% do this by leaving the intake manifold on. After taking the snorkel off, remove the coolant hoses as he shows that go to the throttle body. Remove the 4 hex key bolts and take the throttle body off(inspect the sealing O-Ring after removal). You can then use a wobble or swivel on a short extension to easily get to 2 of the 3 bolts. The one closest to the driver side can be removed by hand after breaking lose with an open or closed end wrench. There's a decent amount of room to remove it from the vehicle after all the bolts are out. Hope this helps someone!
Appreciate this video so much !
I did 05 Frontier without having to clamp the hoses by disconnecting the throttle body from the manifold. I wanted to see and clean the inside.
Was hoping i could do it without taking the intake off but i definitely had to.
Thank you.
I have a 2005 frontier i changed the valve without taking off the intake. I one bolt was slow to come out but i did it.
You’re amazing. Subscribed. What’s the name of that solenoid at 24 minutes?
Edit: Nevermind, I found it. It’s the vacuum reservoir, or pressure tank, or vacuum tank. The 2 hoses coming out are 3.5 mm vacuum hoses 🤯. The parts stores wanted $100+ each, for less than a foot of 3.5 mm hose. Got some on amazon instead.
What a great video brother!
Why did you have to replace it? What code was it?
link for the new intake gaskets?
What code was the Xterra showing???
I dunno, looking at mine it seems like you could pull the passenger side off without having to pull the intake, but thats just me
The driver side sits right on top on my 2012 Xterra.
Is this the fix for P0021 error code?
I want to know also
@@JustdoitYwait Im looking into that too and if im right that code means it the one for the drivers side
