Hi! I haven't tried it with any other flour, so I can't say sorry. You could give it a go, but the texture won't be the same. It's meant to be a dense but fluffy cake so keep that in mind if you do try it. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

Sorry for the late reply! I used maize flour. It's the consistency between corn flour (finely ground to a flour) and polenta (coarser brighter yellow meal). It's not corn starch which is a white powder that makes a squeaking noise when rubbed between your fingers. If you look at the recipe post, it goes into a bit more detail.
