      @@QuamfyMarc Femke was on a major winning streak before racing Sydney at the Olympics last year. That race was her only loss in the last 21 races and last couple of years. Yet Sydney has gotten SO MUCH BETTER since then. Sydney ran half a second faster than Femke has ever run, and the hurdles were misplaced in that race... Femke is one of the greatest and yet underrated athletes in her events history. Yet Sydney is just that much faster, that Femke does not matter to her. No matter how fast Femke is, she PRd in her one race against Sydney on the biggest stage, and still lost. And syndey is again much faster than last year.
      In conclusion, Femke only winning if Sydney drastically messed up. Hurdles misplaced and Sydney still gapped Femkes PR

    womens 400m hurdles - if race conditions are good - not too hot, not much wind...etc a WR by Syd no question about it. She is improving with each race. Mens side. - The WR holder has been hurt this year. The kid from Brazil is moving up fast and Benjamin was trashed by covid for a while earlier in the year so im not sure if will be able to hit times he hit last year just yet. Id say the kid from Brazil has the advantage as he has improved his times vs 2021 unless the WR holder has recovered and is ready. I dont see a WR in the mens hurdles. I have never been this stoked about worlds - womens 100M, 200m, 400m hurdles, 800m.... relays - all stacked and must see TV. Mens 200m, hurdles, pole vault is probably on WR watch. I just want good race conditions vs a heat wave + strong wind. Everyone talks about the track being fast as if other major tracks are not fast... Tokyo, Jamaica's track is just as fast...etc It is a factor but it's also because of the special meets which concentrate the attention and talent which ups the performances. This worlds is about as close to Olympic level as it gets. I contend this will get more attention because peak covid sapped Tokyo of the crowds and excitement. The only time the track is a major factor is when you compare different eras...Eugene is fast but so are others in this era. The same with spikes, training, recovery, sports medicine, the ability to analyze your training/data/film, the ability to go pro early so you can train and not worry about money ..etc Everything has improved light years in the past 5 years. Im interested in the womens 200m which has a shot of breaking FloJo's record given Jacksons time in Jamaica . Maybe even the 100m. Or the womens 4X400m - I could see a WR there by the US.

    The women's side is a fairly easy call. Sydney wins and breaks her own WR again, even though it won't require her to break it to win, she'll do it anyway.
    The men's...its only in limbo as a lock for Rai Benjamin to take it and run well under 47 seconds due to the fact that Karsten Warholm exists...any other runner I'd rule out of being able to beat Benjamin in the biggest race of the season when they themselves haven't run much this season... but Warholm is a mutant or something so he just might do that. Personally I think if Warholm even runs and makes the finals...he wins it...if he doesnt run in the finals, Rai Benjamin wins it with Santos fairly close behind.

      If Sydney doesnt run WR but a average 51.6 to 51.8 Femke might beat her!

  • @barath4545
    @barath4545 2 роки тому +1

    Syd will win but Femke will take 2nd over Dalilah. If Femke gets a PERFECT race, she will do 51.8x but Syd will just cruise to a 51.5x and win, no WR needed.
    Santos should win a tape-measured finish in 46.6x over Benjamin and Warholm won't race due to risk of more injury.
    But Benjamin will take any race where Santos makes even the tiniest of mistakes.

    I think Sydney will run something like 51.1s in the final. But I won't be surprised if she goes under 51. Femke will be under 52. I'm not sure about Dalilah's hamstring condition. But if she is healthy, she will be on the podium. If Dalilah is not completely healthy, I believe Britton Wilson might sneak in for bronze.

    TBH, I'm very curious: DM has 53.88 SB, her other race was 54.5 and skipped USAs. Syd, has been shining, but hasn't been tested it seems racing 2 weekends for 400h. Super duper curious what goes down. Bol has been very active in 2022. IDK. I also want to see Little do well.

    I think I can speculate on the following events having new world records this year women's 400mts hurdles, women's 100 & 200mts, women's & men's 1500mts & for wild one the men's 100mts. 2022 is & will be a season to remember.

    I think there will be fire in both the men and women 400m hurdles. In my own opinion, Sydney will lower her world record even further. As for the men if Rae Benjamin doesn't stutter the first 200m, we have a race to watch between him and his two strongest competitor though we don't know if Kharstrom has recovered from the hamstring injury. Lets also not forget the men and women sprints in both 100m and 200m. Also factor in the men and women's 1500m and 5000m. I am also paying attention to Ryan Crousser in the men's shotput and the women triple jump world record holder.

    In women’s 400 m hurdles: 1) Sydney Maclaughlin 51.27, 2) femke Bol 51.73, 3) Dalilah Muhammad 52.75.
    In men’s 400 m hurdles: 1) Dos santos 46.47, 2) Rai Benjamin 46.64 3) Karsten Warholm 46.91.
    I couldn’t be more specific 😂

      Yes agree Femke able to run 51.6 to 51.8 on this fast track if weather conditions are also fine. In Europe track and conditions where not so great so she might close the gap or come closer than Olympics. Femke Silver probably easy but surprise upset for gold. Would be something. 😂

    Bol and Dalilah will challenge, especially Bol who has been pretty fit. However, I think Sydney's ultimate greatness is really just beginning to show itself. She may very well set a record that will be unbeatable for years to come, unless Bol pulls out a hat trick of some sort.
