How 'Sgt. Pepper's' shaped a musical era

"Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band," one of the most influential albums of all time, turns 50 this week. Its 13 tracks, including "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" and “A Day in the Life,” reinvented albums as works of art, marking a new experimental era for The Beatles.
