Q&A: Do you think it's possible that SM-33's Captain had ordered SM-33 to destroy the coordinates that leads to At Attin wasn't to take their treasure, but possibly to save At Attin from other Pirates and he might have a change of heart in a moment when he fell in love with any of the locals instead of decided to take their treasure and left his ship and his Droid buried in the wild? Maybe the previous captain had gotten a second life after leaving his pirate days away and decided to live in At Attin in his entire life perhaps?
I have a feeling you're right. I mean, I won't be mad if its not. But I could totally see the captain trying to keep people away to protect the planet.
That's one of the other ideas I had. Much like Crimson Jack, the Captain wanted to get to At Attin to get the treasure, but along the way, he changed and settled there. You can already see the same thing happening with Crimson Jack.
My "Supervisor" prediction is a droid/ai/computer that oversees things, and in the past was getting updated instructions from the Republic, but when the feed went dead its just been continuing to run on its last instructions.
5:00 I'm quite surprised Disney hasn't sent out screeners for these next two episodes for you guys (and all the other reviewers) so you can continue normal coverage at your leisure. Of course, to be honest, I'm surprised they chose to release everything on Tuesday nights still since they debuted the first episodes on Monday, which would have been more convenient over the holidays. Thanks for all the hard work you've put in this year! Happy Holidays!!
If I was to assign Wizard of Oz roles to our crew I think Fern is our Dorothy wanting adventure and more from life. KB the trusting and loyal companion but Fern got her into this mess our Toto. Jod needing to find his heart again, Neel as the loin finding he is stronger then he knows, and Wim needing to think things through more and find his brain. Great show today. Love the sweaters and Santa Yoda.
0:49 This was the last place I expected to see a Slayer reference (Molly’s sweater) haha. Hail Santa and Merry Christmas to you both btw. Love the videos :)
Thanks for a nice discussion. My guess is that, due to automatic pilot landing, all on board were dead when the ship landed. The supervisor is aware of the spacecraft and hence declared the area is off limits
When we first enter the main room in the supervisors tower and the camera swings up, I honestly thought the round thing on the ceiling was a holo-projector for a star map. Now I theorise if it isn't a holo-projector for the supervisor themselves, being inactive. The "The Wizard of Oz" approach seems interesting, I wonder if the "curtain" reveals a living being, a program or an AI. Connecting this question to my "holo-projector" non sense, it would be very interesting if we get to see someone trapped in stasis, being able to communicate through projecting their consciousness. Maybe to insure that only the one SUPPOSED to lead At Attin really does so. For eternity.
If there were ever a show for SW to release all at once, it would’ve been this one. Gonna be tough to follow it and find time during the holidays personally.
I'm thinking the Onyx Cinder has been on At Attin for centuries. It's Captain being the only one to have ever find the quadrants for it. Then like you said, after entering hyperspace for the planet, the rest of the crew found out what the Captain did and there was a mutiny that some how caused the ship to crash. The planet eventually reclaimed it, covering it up over the centuries until Wim stumbled upon it. But based on the camera shots from the last episode, I think Crimson Jack knows more about the ship, it's Captain, and the hunt for At Attin. I'm not saying he was part of the crew, obviously, if it's been centuries, he wouldn't have been. But I think the Onyx Cinder is as much a legend as At Attin itself and he's figured out that that is the ship he is on. As an aside, you can also see him coming to feel protective of the kids. He didn't need to step in and safe them on the other planet or when SM-33 went all Dystopian Future Biff on them. As for the turbo-laser on the school, it's most definitely coming back into play later. I'm guessing that somehow the supervisor (I still think it's a computer or droid) and/or the security droids will be disabled when the pirates come, but Neel knows about the turbo-laser and so he'll bring it up but Wim will be the one to shoot it. As for At Achrann, who really knows how long ago it was destroyed, but it's certainly been visited in the not so distant past. Obviously there is the AAT from the clone wars era, so the Separatists have been there but I think also the Empire because of the helmets being worn look like various trooper styles. Now, the helmets could have easily just been reusing old props without it meaning anything, but the AAT, that's pretty deliberate. Either it was destroyed how it was during the Clone Wars or some time before, depending on how long the Onyx Cinder has been buried on At Attin.
Someone, I think Neil said Wizard in one of the first episodes and we canonically know it was started by Reath Silas so between that and the great works we can guess they were sealed away during phase 1 of high Republic
I think that SM-33 scratching out the location of At Attin may be what saved it from whatever has plunged At Achrann into chaos (and perhaps the other planets too). I love your comparison to Wizard of Oz too! Great discussion.
Q&A: Do you think The Mandalorian and Grogu will get tie-in books, seeing as the authors have been steering clear of that era? Edit: What's been the funniest line of the year?
I don't think we'll see any tie in books until they're mostly done actively developing the characters. They canceled the Mando book because of last minute changes that would have ended up conflicting with the new direction.
During your conversation about SM33’s captain, I had a thought. Wim’s dad seemed to be rather thoughtful and I think he knows more than we saw. Did he know about the ship? Would he know who the captain was? Was he on that ship? Would he have been the captain? After all, if mutiny occurred on the ship, and it crashed, where did the captain go if he is the sole survivor? All too curious…🤔 Thanks for the discussion.
Unless Wim's dad is stupidly long-lived, that ship has been down there too long for him to have been the captain, but he could be descended from the captain.
Watching the last episode I kept wondering where Neel’s species was. It seemed like we saw the other alien species from At Attin on At Achrin except for whatever species Neel is
Please tell us what Board Games! I am very familiar with many Star Wars board games and it would be cool for you to cover Star Wars Board Game content as well
I'll be watching Skeleton Crew at 8am on Christmas Morning. Ill demand your full and observant review at no later than 24 hours later, oh since its customary, 25 hrs. Back to work Alex and Molly Cratchit. And a very Happy Christmas
Q&A: Which do you think is more likely? Cal to appear in a live action series to tie into the third Jedi game, or the game to release first? And which series do you think is more likely for him to show up in?
Being subscribed to star wars explained. Is the best decision i ever made.I love alex and Mollie's, positivity.With seeing the Eupie, we're we on, tatoonie? I know the species are on other worlds.But they are associated with tatoonie.The solidsrs did say, they we're fighting the hutt-ans .I went, wait the hutts.
You're not allowed to have holidays. Work is life, life is work. Capitalism doesn't sleep so neither should you. In totally unrelated news, I've been playing Outer Worlds...
Superlative Most Merciful Death: Clone Trooper Denal. He was my favorite clone early on but imagine all the heartache the 501st went through he was saved from. Umbara??? The citadel?? If he survived he would have made ARC by then surely right there with Fives and Echo. RIP sweet prince

Yup, this is probably the most likely case. Common trope in sci-fi for sure, but there is a reason it's a common trope.
Most flexible neck: Yord
Poof from the Jedi council
@ Yup. You're right. That move wouldn't have worked on Master Poof. He survived Order 66, you know. Got a job in an imperial cafeteria.
Damn dude lol
No. Han Solo in New Hope

Can you do a mini-vid of all the characters behind you on set?
I think the mouse in SM33's head has more significance.
Checovs Gun? More like checovs orbital defence cannon.

Have we considered the option that the ship was shot down?
Most likely to milk a Thala-siren while in selp imposed exile.
You guys rock! (including Hilo and Pippin of course)
Most likely to steal your heart: Neel

I betting that the "supervisor" is a droid.

Best scream: Rampart in Bad Batch season 3!

Superlatives: that sayings never going to catch on.

I'm excited for the changes to the videos. I've been wanting to hear you guys talk about the comics and books more so I hope that's what 's coming!
I love the Christmas Sweaters, oh my god!

It'll get a novelization and probably a prequel novel, like all the movies have.
HAIL SANTA 🙌
Thanks to Alex and Mollie! ☃

@ good point. Just something I pondered during the conversation.
I still want Wim's dad to be Willrow Hood. He escaped Cloud City, and in his camtono was a map to At Attin.
Fern = Dorothy
Wym = Scarecrow
KB = Tin Man
Neel = Cowardly Lion
Since you where talking about Wizard of Oz - Who would be the different Wicked characters in the Star Wars Universe?
Superlatives: the best plot twist of 2024, ofc star wars
Maybe the supervisor is something like G0-T0.
Skip to like the 5 min mark for the questions
I've personally enjoyed the focus on Neel in the last episode, so maybe we'll have enough time to get more familiar with KB or others.
I'd like to throw out a prediction, Neel will be forced to shoot down the wolf pirates who somehow tracks down At Attin and the kids.
"Most likely to fall to the dark side", "Bestest Boy on the ship".
I was thinking, most likely to become a sith.

most likely to hate sand (not Anakin category)
Supirlative: character with the best development in 2024

King No head will be the same species as Neel.
Is that a PENTAGRAM behind Santa’s face?
Is SM-33’s Captain the same species as Yoda? Could they live that long?
Q&A: Which do you think is more likely? Cal to appear in a live action series to tie into the third Jedi game, or the game to release first? And which series do you think is more likely for him to show up in?
Does anyone know where i can get that grogu sweater? Or was it a limited/galaxy's edge thing?😭
Pretty sure we just found it on Amazon!
I like turtles. lol the meat clips for the ad are perfection 👏👏
Most likely to succeed....Darth Pagluies
We know the Mythrol mentioned Life Day on the first episode of the Mandalorian, so I'd guess the holiday made its way off Kashyyyk.
Most likely to survive a Zillo Beast rampage (that was not in the Bad Batch)?
Question: what if the supervisor is tech
Personally, I think the old captain could be a skeleton in the treasure room from the trailer.
Most likely to turn into a comic series: The Acolyte 😔
Is the supervisor a droid?
What if the captain took control of the supervisor role? Lol
idk why but thats also what i thought of watching this lmao. it kind of makes sense? but whats really the point?
