Ppffffhh. An Alfa GTV. How lame. I have 3 of them. Well okay...I have 3 die cast models of the GTV one blue, one yellow, one red...that I play with everyday in my make believe Targa Florio...which haunts dreams at night. Damm you Petrolicious!
yes and no.The music gives an awesome vibe for this film. Even though the sound of that engine alone is music to my ears, I dont think the video would have the same feeling without the music.
Best looking sport coupe of the era IMHO. My dad came "this" close to buying one in 1974. He bought a Fiat 124 Spyder instead. Never forgave him for that =) Pershing Drive...used to drag race our motorcycles there when I worked at LAX.
The fiat spyder wasnt that bad. They had a sweet engine and they had potential. Abarth 124's were fast cars. IMO the 124 couples were even nicer. I had one of each before I bought my 1750 GTV.
What a great car, a real drivers car! The look of this Alfa is not radical or aerodynamic at all but it's just so alluring, it tells you that this car is all about performance
This is how a Alfa needs to be driven it’s in its DNA great car great video next time please no music in background so I can hear the engine note which is music in its self
My first GF's father had four or five Alfas, and thus allowed me the opportunity to drive them all over our time together. He was a neurologist, and often had to rent a Toyota to get to the office. Many years latter I asked him what had become of the collection (especially the GTV's), he still had them all...
Watched that one three times. Yeah baby! Love the Alfas. Mine is a GTV6 w/3.0L24v, higher compression, GTA cams, Verde transaxle with LSD, Girodisc brakes, race seat and extend steering (I'm too tall to fit otherwise), seam welded, Riccambi torsion bars & springs, and on it goes. :-) (Paint next.) Love cars that engage the drivers.
Some of the commentary on this video is saying the mechanical noise is being drowned out by the "Matthew McConaughey bongo drum music" I thought it gave a. 60's B movie feel!!! But I know what an Alfa GTV in full song, sings like.,....so its understandable. The Alfa GTV is like a soap carving you can drive. Its small enough to have absolute control over each corner. You have a great unencumbered veiw of the landscape your motoring thru. Has room for a cozy get away, for two , with room inside the car and in the trunk. It possess the ultimate dimensions of interior and exterior space. Beautifully shaped into "Italian High Art" The twin cam and dual webers , and 5 speed..." Minus bongos" Add to the adventure of a romantic get away. Ive come across alot of the blue ones and a few red ones...in very scruffy well used condition back when they popped up as third hand , plus, cars. Very Italian beautiful "classic" interior trim ..... You would need a Ferrari , to be anymore " Beautifully Italian", as the GTV.
Great video, what a thrill of a Sunday drive, the way it should be driven (and lucky you to find vacant roads with no cars around). My 1st car was an Alfa Romeo GT Junior Bertone 1300, albeit a small engine but delivered unmatched driving joy, especially on a Sunny Sunday morning, on mountain roads, with no cops around... :-///
Ordinarily, I don't like music laying over the top of great engine sounds. But the drums really work here. Bravo. Well done. Oh yeah...and whatta car...
Great sounding and looking car. Though, I feel like there's a few too many cuts of very clearly the exact same maneuver, corner, highway, etc. Obviously some videos will be limited by filming location but this one really strains to excite because you are clearly seeing the same things over and over.
When I look at these lines, in general the lines of the most beautiful cars of this period, I understand that we had reached the maximum of harmony, that trying to innovate could not do better. But I didn't imagine that we would get to the current lines, which are bad for the eyes
This was shot so well, and the Alfa sounds so fine. Who thought it was a good idea to ruin it all with by overlaying a loud, annoying snare drum track?
@@muriellealamelama1310 I AM ENVIOUS OF YOU!!! I’m looking but finding one within my budget is now a dream. The guy selling it wanted only $5000!!! I should’ve jumped on it but I didn’t know as much about working on cars as I do now.
I bought a GT Giulia 1972 Berlina in May 2020 - paid €19000 euros and promptly blew the engine up - sold it for £15000 - best loss I ever made ! What a beautiful car !!!
When Italy taught everyone how to make masterpieces on 4 wheels.
I watched this video over 30 times and the excitement is still there. Literally the car of my dreams.
Go buy one, bro. You won’t regret it !
@@muriellealamelama1310 Oh i will thats for sure 😉
the way it should be driven 🔥 screw those garage queens
Who needs s chassis when you have alfa chassis
Aaaaah, the early Sunday morning drive ! Nothing, absolutely nothing beats that for putting things in perspective.
♥️♥️
Absolutely!
I think its one of the best design Alpha Romeo's ever built
For me THE best design alfa ever built. I wish they created some neoretro inspired sportscar
I always thought the Brera(/159) lights were heavily inspired by this design.
@@koffiezet and it's true
Raymond Chadman ALFA not Alpha
@@LorenzoTuratti --Thanks pal for your correction ,noted and taken ,just a genuine blind mistake on my part
As a young AF pilot I owned a 1971 GTV. I still think of it fondly. this reminds me of when I was young and had so much fun in a little Alfa Romeo.
The car every little boy dreamed of during the 60's and 70's!
Just awesome, another fantastic video!
Ppffffhh. An Alfa GTV. How lame. I have 3 of them. Well okay...I have 3 die cast models of the GTV one blue, one yellow, one red...that I play with everyday in my make believe Targa Florio...which haunts dreams at night.
Damm you Petrolicious!
Pretty much an exact replica of my old Alfa GTV.I loved that car even though I had the head off it more times than I can remember!
Amazing car, really beautiful! And that sound... ❤️ Thanks Petrolicious for this video!
The single horniest sounding car I have ever heard. Makes me wanna run naked in the streets...
Please mix the music a bit quieter next time, really wanna hear that sound👌
Common mistake on this Channel. But good channel though
No, it should not have any music in the first place.
yes and no.The music gives an awesome vibe for this film. Even though the sound of that engine alone is music to my ears, I dont think the video would have the same feeling without the music.
Agree with that! The music gives a good vibe for the video, but could be lower than the Alfa!
Why don't you guys go make some videos

Need to change my pants now
not only You😀😀😀!!
a bit wet eh?? great cars and vids can do that. haha
that frustration of wanting to drive this car as fuck and we already broke as fuck.
okay, but keep in mind that these machines were made for that
I've always wanted one of these. I love my Giulia but nothing beats these little GTVs!
Best sound in the world
Such a cool little car.

I watch this every few weeks... never gets old.
One of the happiest videos I've seen in a long time! Absolutely wonderful, wake up and enjoy the drive everyone :)
That guy drives it like he stole it. Kudos and much respect.
Wooowww dude!!! You're ready for the italian job! 😎 Complimenti, bellissimo mezzo e bella guida, bravo!
The car looks glued to the road
Nix the music, the GTV is what we came to hear.
A little cut heavy...
Drinks coffee and drives like a mad man... What's inside that coffee 🤔
Should have used a moka pot.
Alfa Romeo motor oil.
Cafffffffeeeeeiiineeeee.
Speed
Drugs, probably.
I love the drum solo in the video!
Thanks for another video.
Now I have a question. If you made a music video would you put a loud recording of an engine overtop of it?
Dream Alfa right there...must be the best thing ever driving it like you stole it
I am so in love with that car... great video!
Loved how the engine did all the narrative in this short film.
thanks for sharing
Some things are best said without words.
Still better looking than most cars out there today.
man drive with SPIRIT. even with that factory long shifter!!!
Had Alfa's, non stop since 1957....two at a time mostly...
ruggisce come un leone/it roars like a lion (Oo=v=oO) Alfa Romeo ❤💘
Nice Lancia Delta... jk
Hai perfettamente ragione!
Nothing like putting an Italian car through its paces! I do the same with my Lancia Scorpion. It begs to be driven hard!
A little choppy but that sound is glorious
Osuna
1:46 pop corn! Love that sound.
Lol at the people complaining about the music. It's perfect.
please please please chill with the music ...... if i wanted music i go to music videos ... great video otherwise
Without the music, you can hear all the problems with the alfa... Rattles, creaks, squeaks, things blowing up....
Beautiful cars.
Small reality injection though a late 90's Honda Civic SI will outperform in every possible way.
That added soundtrack was really annoying. I want to hear the CAR.
Other than that, really nice video. Lovely car. :D

Lovin' the action, thank goodness no advertisement at the end. Passion over product.

Mine was a 67 GTV, twin DCOE 40 Weber’s, and we did it in the winter on Angeles Crest Highway. That’ll raise your systolic.
Did I just watch the best video ever
Immediately reminded me of Eli Cash from the Royal Tenenbaums. “Here I come...”
He says "I'm still here" haha Bravo!!!
where is that?

Another cup of espresso, another set of new tires: )
I love the music! Is there a link or genre i can look up?
That was the best Ken Block video ever!!!
The sound 🤌
Какая талантливая работа режиссера, оператора, монтажа. Просто шик !!!
Yess! This guy is driving..! Great vid, great feel, appropriate title; this is petrolicious
THAT'S how a morning should start! Damnit.
Such a beautiful car
This is a great video!!! Thank you please make more of these great videos!!!!! And can I please have one of those beautiful ROLEX WATCHES!!! LOL!!!
Was this video made before or after gearbox rebuild?
What a sound !
Beat the snot out of that Italian 😂 awesome video and great cinematics adrenaline pumping !

Mamma mia that induction sound...
Short, simple, efficient
I had an Alfa when I was in 'Graduate' school =))
Nice video, beautiful car indeed!
I truly wonder what end-muffler was used. I sure want this sound on my own Alfa, sounds very inspiring after my morning coffee.
maybe a stinger
This Alfa rules the streets. In which city take Place the show?
An early morning Italian tune-up. Wow!
You know you can drive better when you are nkt flopping around inside that thing.... Wear your belts.... Lovely little gem of an engine.
Kelly Gagne lol it doesn’t have seatbelts
Aw man I thought he was gonna drift through that long right hander at 1:23, but great vid and car nonetheless
