Hi Danya, I hope you'll read this message. (I don't know how to reach you directly). I am a big fan of yours. You are one of the most talented players, one of the best content creators (I love your YT channel), one of the most kind and intelligent human being out there (even if I don't know you personally)... I am sorry and sad to see you hurt by what's going on (Kramnik's accusations)... Don't. You demonstrate every single time your skills, knowledge, kindness and what's not. You should deserve much more. I am (with many many others) with you!! Thanks for everything you've done, do and hopefully will do for the chess community.
Daniel Naroditsky Speedruns Ranked: 6th place: Top Theory Speedrun This was an excellent format, designed to emphasize the importance of openings, even at a lower level. This run featured some epic hour long analysis rabbit holes (anti London, Tarrasch French, fantasy caro, and many more) but some of the opening choices (Grunfield, alapin, dragon) were not the best, resulting in excellent educational content while somewhat lacking in its intended goal. Nonetheless an amazing series especially towards the end when he switched to his main repertoire. 5th place: Master class speedrun It’s very difficult to find anything negative in any of Danya’s videos. However 5th place has to go somewhere and in this case it’s the master class speedrun. Amazing learning material over a wide variety of openings, but not as much structure as some of the other speedruns. 4th place: SpeedRun The OG. I find myself going back to this one over and over again. His step by step analysis is unparalleled and raw. A timeless classic. One Danya video on the kings Indian or the Sicilian is more useful than a whole playlist of any other creator’s. 3rd place: Beginner to master speedrun Basically a revamp of the first SpeedRun. Pure excellence 2nd place: The Sensei Speedrun This Speedrun honestly could go in first place due to the Nimzovitch French and Smith Morra alone. These openings, along with the many others discussed, are foundational and game changing ways to punish black and have dramatically increased the ratings of myself and many others. This is where Danya found and refined his flow (not that he didn’t have it before). My most re-watched series by far. 1st place: Develop Your Instincts Speedrun Najdorf and Kings Indian. Enough said. Finally our prophet trades in the dragon for the best Sicilian. Additionally, this speedrun features 2 or 3 games per episode while not skimping on post game analysis or the beloved theoretical rabbit holes. The only thing preventing this from being a 10/10 is the alapin. To be fair though if Danya brought back the smith morra, he would bankrupt every other chess content creator as his videos would be the only ones worth watching. Also I will say, I’m surprised Danya hasn’t opted for his beloved Ruy Lopez. Hopefully we get some of those in the future as well as a return to the morra. Anyways that’s it, looking forward to so many more of these in the future.
Alapin is better than Smith-Morra at 2000+. Morra is great for crushing beginners that instantly capture on c3, no GMs plays 3. c3, they all go 3. Nf3 nowadays and only if black plays e5 they push c3.
@@ot1438Sometimes people say “pavlovian” to refer to Ivan Pavlov, a man who popularized classical conditioning which he researched in training his dogs. Classical conditioning is when you train a creature to have a particular response to stimulus. For example, ring a bell every time you give your dog food. The dog salivates and eats the food. Give the dog less food each time, all the while still ringing a bell. Eventually you stop giving the dog food, but when you ring the bell the dog still salivates. That is classical conditioning
I love seeing Danya play the Sicilian, even if I'm more of a Dragon guy. He's the reason I took it up instead of the Caro-Kann and I'm having way more fun with it :)
Hi Daniel. Thank you for sharing your board vision and talent on your channel. Kramnik is probably jealous of your large audience and perhaps realises that antagonisizing high volume youtube talent with wild accusations means he gets more views on his channel. Seems he is more into getting attention and views to tap into high volume channels comments. Peace and blessings be with. Try not to get riled by his antics. You are a really talented player and even more important you can explain games so well that even a patzer low rated player like me can see things I didnt even know where hidden in the game. Unlike Kramnik. He may be a superstar player but he really has such a vile ego and cant handle fact he no longer at top of game.
I'd love to see a "FIGHTING BACK SPEEDRUN" where rather than showing how to gain an advantage in the opening, Danya doesn't play critically and instead lazily falls into the opponent's first trap. Then he gets to teach how to fight back from such a blunder. Because this happens to all of us at every level - falling into a trap because we haven't seen it yet, or just missing the opponent's idea - and I think we'd gain a lot by learning how to fight back in those situations.
In game 2 there is way too many cuts that save split seconds or a couple of seconds. They are not worth it, one can easily increase the speed to 1.25x or 1.5x if one believes the video is slow. If the opponent thinks for 20 seconds and Danya doesn't say anything it makes sense. But cutting 3 seconds of Danya thinking on 16:44 for example makes it less human in my opinion, or cutting at the beginning of the game literally 1/2 seconds of video.
Has been falling pretty badly from my 1300 rating, almost ended up at 1000, because I wasn't training at all, stopped watching Danya and played under the influence of coke... Recently started watching Danya again and voila! I am back at 1200, having a nice streak! Thanks, Master Danya!
