The Angel face you see is the Haserot, named “The Angel of Death Victorious". The stoic angel is seated on the marble gravestone of canning entrepreneur Francis Haserot and his family. Holding an extinguished torch upside-down, it represents a symbol of life extinguished. Wings are outstretched and the gaze is straight ahead.
IN THE END, DEATH ALWAYS WINS. LEST THE FACES NOT BE FORGOTTEN...
This channel is focused on casually walking and viewing a handful of the thousands of forgotten names and faces at various cemeteries near and afar. Seeing their faces up close. And when able, telling the stories behind their names.
Most graves are unknown and lost to history.
Some are famous.
And some infamous....
....and some with tragic endings.

There are graveyards in England that were turned into "green spaces". They just moved the headstones to the side, just leaning against fencing. Now they're like neighborhood parks. A wee bit creepy!
I went to a park like that near Dickens' house. Bodies still there but markers were placed on the brick wall surrounding the place. I visited around noontime, so there were numerous people enjoying picnic lunches on the grass.
@@ellennewth6305 I have mixed feelings...it's a lovely way to use the space (much better that building houses on top of them) but still 😳. I suppose we (in the US) just need to tweak our mindset.
They could have had their green space/park around the headstones.
@@maralonent6257 It's a bit difficult to play frisbee or catch with headstones all over the place.
They have them in Ireland, just like that. It’s not just US.
It’s so sad and incredibly disrespectful to move those that are resting in peace just to build businesses/ houses. I would hope that it doesn’t happen that often nowadays. Those people deserve to be at peace and not have to their rest place disturbed.
Thank-you for sharing this story
Not the first city or town to do it sadly! Usually, a land grab and they figure, they dead - who cares. San Francisco did it and so did Denver and New York.
They're dead, not resting.
👏🏽 exactly. You are very right.
I love the history not just the spooky stuff but the history is so interesting.
It is one of the creepiest neighborhoods in Tucson. I remember my parents talking about this. So sad to know it was built upon. Thanks for sharing Ron.
Unfortunately, there is no rest in peace anymore. In St. Louis, they removed about half of the remains of the Washington Park Cemetery to widen the highway and lengthen the airport runways. So sad. Thanks Ron for another riveting story. Stay safe
Great episode. Nice to see the remembrance to the child and father. I’m sure those that pass by remember all the souls buried there.
Hold the fruit loop up!!!! I think building houses or anything else on graves is wrong and disrespectful. And to charge people to is wrong.... Cemeteries are for people to be remembered, not to be dug up and moved so a building can be built....Thank you for sharing this Ron... Oh the live stream was awesome....
i agree thats sick 2 remove them. shame on them ppl who did that.they should go 2 hell 4 doin that.👹
@@mistyadams-ok8cr I totally agree with you.... It's a shame that a building is more important than a human being....
Isn’t it illegal?
Yes, that’s what I always heard, it’s illegal and rightly so.
That’s really disgusting that they did that! Always, what’s good for business comes first. They obviously didn’t move those poor people! 😡
Oh! This seems to happen all the time. Either accidentally or on purpose 😕 And to charge people to move the bodies is criminal. Also building houses etc. is just wrong. I'm positive more bodies and bones will turn up. How nice of that man to put up a memorial. Thanks Ron for sharing. 🙏
I find it appalling they think moving bodies was progress. The people settled the towns and put the churches and cemeteries so that family could visit easily..
Hi,Awesome?! Thanks 🍎🌞🎃🍁❤️🇺🇸👍
Delete ? Mark, thanks
This very cool 😎 double feature Thursday.i know this the real poltergeist ,but all i can hear is Greg t.Nelson saying , you moved the cemetery 🪦 but you forgot to move the bodies . I started my horror movie collection for Halloween 🎃 poltergeist is one of them ...great story Ron
Always love your stories Ron
Wow so much for rest in peace. I’ve always considered that a cemetery or grave yard is hallowed ground and never be disturbed on built on. If there isn’t a law on the books for that then shame on our law makers. That is a nice looking neighborhood though.
There are multiple burial sites around Tucson that were built over. Nearly every time they decided to expand or renovate properties, burial sites were uncovered. This part of Arizona has seen a great deal of inhabatation over the last few centuries.
Loving these October spooky stories Ron.
I absolutely COULD NOT live somewhere knowing there are people buried beneath the home.
That's disrespectful to the people that were buried there. I bet there are a lot of spirits roaming around in that neighborhood.
Keep yourself safe on your journeys Ron.🙂💟
Building houses on people final resting place is wrong. Thank you for the video Ron 🧡
They did this in Denver's Cheesman Park back in the late 1800s/early 1900s. The made a big park and started to move the bodies to another cemetery and then it got too expensive, so they just left the bodies and moved the headstones. Apparently there is a lot of paranormal activity reported in the houses around the park.
The guy that was supposed to dig them up started to get greedy because he was getting a set amount for each body he dug up so he started putting random body parts in new small coffins and passing it off as an intact body… well the local newspaper reported that there were more child coffins than there should be and this guys scam was uncovered and the operation stopped and they leveled the ground and left everyone else that was still buried… it’s creepy when I go to Cheesman Park I can’t help but think of that
Stunning cinematography Ron. ❤to the many forgotten deceased who don't have a marker. There must be many places like this. Maybe for future episodes. ❤
I could not live here. We have a cemetery in our village. .people walk by it every day. Its. Historical & fun to walk threw. Leave cemeteries alone!
There is a current project going on in Florida to find lost African American cemeteries. FOUR were discovered in my city; one is under a school, and one is under a 6-lane thoroughfare. Discussions are taking place as to what to do.
I actually saw that and some news feed on UA-cam!! Very sad. I remember they stopped construction and started the archaeology dig. Well at least they respected when they found it
I know I wouldn't want to live over top of dead people. May they all RIP.
I grew up in Phoenix. Now I live in Texas. The real neighborhood on which the movie, “Poltergeist” is based is located in Crosby, Texas. The book, “The Black Hope Horror,” the story is explained in detail.
Unfortunately, this happens all over the world. I lived in Savannah for a while, and most of the historic district is built on the dead.
Thanks Ron, that was a good video, very interesting and informative. It's sad that not all those bodies couldn't be removed. I'm wondering if any of those homes have any paranormal activity because they are located on cemetery ground. Wish there was a way to find out. Looking forward to the next video. Take care.
Great story, Ron! Thank you. Your showing us area's of AZ. we've never seen! LOL And we've been here for 36 years!
😢😢THATS SAD , HOW DISRESPECTFUL ,THOSE SAD SOULS .😢
Unfortunately, it has happened a lot in a lot of places all over the world, and still happens to this day. (Moving cemeteries or building over them)
Super GEEKED with your spoooky Halloween stories !! You always come up with thought provoking stories that I think about long after video is over ..
Thanks Ron, this is a rather melancholic area to live in. I would not like to unearth human bones in my garden!
Stay safe and keep well.
Ron,
I love your videos. Great stories, great production, and great music! Man, where do find that music? You always seem to find the perfect songs to fit the various moods. I have been a ghost chaser and cemetary 'enthusiast' for most of my life so everything you do is right up my alley. Great job!
I remember that Movie Poltergeist and yes I agree building homes on top of graves very disrespectful!!!
Amazing title, production, and video as always Ron. Sending love
I saw this movie when it first came out....scared me to no end...
i started seeing it 6 months in advance... Heather has kind, tiny hands.
I love the paranormal, Bigfoot, dogman....really intriguing..I live in a battlefield which my house is built there, The Battle Of Dry Creek...a Confederate battle, the house is over top of graves Im sure both Union and Confederates are still here
I live right by an old mental asylum. Actually I live in one of the apartments where the nurses would live in the 70’s. Today it’s offices and it has nice living spaces around it. The asylum had a little cemetary which recently had houses built right on top. The people buried there would be those without a family or with no money. They are still buried there. No memorial, nothing. It’s so disrespectful and sad. Last person to be buried there would have been probably in the 70’s.
Hey Ron! I'm excited for this video! Thanks for sharing with us.
I got the feeling that was a neighborhood watch post instead of a kids tree house.
That is so disrespectful to build on top of bodies (especially the number that is estimated).
Loving these stories and spending a rainy cool day off in Ohio with you. Thank you for all your hard work and time, off to watch another one now lol 🖤🎃👻🍂
awesome Marsha!! 👍👍👍
My aunts neighborhood in Mexico is buried over an old cemetery, more than once they’ve uncovered graves when doing renovations and maintenance work. They found a hand with rings still on it. I’ve stayed in that house dozens of times and never experienced anything strange.
I think if I did live in a neighborhood like this, I would make a memorial on my property just out of respect.
creepy spooky to think there are numerous graves over the neighbourhood
Wow, it's like Cheesman Park in Denver, still lots of bodies left behind there!
We live in a world where people and money means more to the greedy rich who don't care who are they hurt 😢😢😢❤
Those birds screaming at you during the video added to the creepiness of the video. Shudders . This is another fascinating story that could lead me down yet another rabbit hole, it’s so interesting. But no time! This is unbelievable to me. Yikes 😳
I love how all the yards are fenced in. It looks nice but what a disrespectful thing to do
Obviously, building over burials is practically everywhere in spots, sadly.
I couldn’t live there over possible human remains. Too creepy for me. Great story and thanks Ron for taking us along ❤️
How disrespectful to those who are buried here to build on top of their graves. It is a very interesting story. I don't know how i missed this one but i did 😅 Thanks again Ron. I enjoyed it.
Thanks Ron,interesting video safe travels mate,👏👏👋👋🙏🇦🇺
Great intro Ron.. Happy Halloween.🧌🧛♀️👻☠️🎃I couldn't live in a home or neighborhood that has bodies beneath the ground. I can hardly walk in a cemetary. It really gives me the creeps..I feel like I'm literally walking on these deceased people.
Sad that the cemetery and inhabitants were disturbed.
Thanks for sharing this rest in peace 😢😢🥀🥀
Wow that is crazy!! Up in Sonoma by the mission people are driving over bodies. I have never known about that until I went on a ghost walking tour.
I grew up in the town of South Lyon Michigan and of course every town has it’s stories . This one being the hotel in town was built of the town’s first cemetery , And farmers were payed per body to dig up and move to the current location today . Well I seen a map showing the town in about 1875 sure enough the cemetery was where the hotel is today . The hotel was built in about 1880 . I then came across a map from 1890 and cemetery is in its current location . Just a side note that hotel/bar has burned twice . Interesting monument in current cemetery is in the back and say’s person name and ether “ Killed by the cars “ or “ Killed by cars 1930
An African American cemetery in Maryland was done that way also. It's called the Laurel Cemetery. There is a shopping center over it now. I don't remember how many hundreds maybe thousands of graves are under the parking lot 😢
great, keep them coming ron, thanks
There is something VERY creepy about this neighbourhood!! I doubt I could ever live there, or in a similar place!!
GREAT video, as usual, Ron!! XXXX ❤👍💞🤗
Ron you have to do a video about Lunger’s Row in Albuquerque!!!! (I probably spelled that wrong). I listened to a “Spooked” by Snap Judgement podcast about this neighborhood! It would be an amazing time for you and your viewers!! I also listened to Moses’ story on “spooked”. If you are not familiar w the supernatural experiences he has had, listen to the podcast! The boy and the father that they found had all of these buttons buried with them. They think they were just buried in the clothes they died in since they likely died from an infectious outbreak of something highly contagious.
have not heard, ty
Thanks for sharing this, glad they are moving the people
Wow!!! I have heard of this type of thing happening in the big city. But they put a strip mall on the Graves. I don't think I could live above a grave or two.
Thanks for a good spooky story. Take care out there.
Robinson Park in Helena, MT was once the Catholic Cemetery. Only about 200 of the approximately 1600 bodies buried there were moved although all the stones were removed. Road work along the side of the park exposed coffins when they were trenching. It became a park in the 70’s. It dates back to the 1860’s and they stopped using it in the early 1900’s and it fell into disrepair. Most of the records were very incomplete regarding names, dates and burial locations and the city turned it into a park.
We have a cemetery in our town that the same thing happened to. They put a road through it and told people to move their loved ones. There a still people buried there and one is a revolutionary war soldier. It’s very sad.
This is so wrong in so many ways!!! Very saddening and heartbreaking!!!
What a fascinating story Ron..Thank you so much for going there and sharing this experience with us. What an unselfish person you are: thank you so much for your videos 🙂
Wow what a story such a shame that the places were built on top of the cemetery. Such a wonderful thing that gentleman has done. Thank you for sharing but I would not want to live there .As my place is old and has it's own story! 😮
It is believed that a similar thing happened in the Founders Cemetery in Roswell Georgia. It is believed that houses were built over graves in that cemetery. A part of the old cemetery is believed to actually be under a suburban neighborhood there. It is a very creepy cemetery, and the location is included as part of local ghost tours.
I’m trying to see if these houses typically have basements…doesn’t look like it. Can you imagine them digging a basement…yikes!
So Interesting. Thank you, Ron.
Great video Ron. Very interesting.
I hate when they relocate cemeteries. First of all, this is the place they chose to be buried and secondly, how does anyone really know if the people who were moved are really placed where they said they were. A cemetery should be a dedicated spot for all eternity for those buried to rest in peace. So many people probably live on old burial sites without even knowing it. It was so cool of that man to build the grotto. At least they are being remembered in some way. Great story Ron. Thank you!
Thanks Ron for sharing 👍🙂
This is insane, gang. In the scheme of things, they weren’t even buried that long. How sad. And deeply disrespectful.
Thank you Ron I really like this one hope you go back there and do more exploring
It might bother some to live there given its history, but if it doesn't bother them they've done a nice job of keeping it up. Personally, I don't think I'd want to. Kind of disrespectful to those who died there. Thank you for showing us this neighborhood, Ron, and the highlight were the dogs.
From a Builders point of view, wouldn't the ground be full of the sink holes to the point of being a huge issue to correct?
CRAZY story!
Hi Ron.! This video is creepy. I couldn't live in a house. That used to be a grave yard. It's very creepy in the day time too 😳.
I love it that you talk to the dogs!
great video i love the little shrine built that was very repectfull beautifull that street reminded me of your trip in mexico had that eerie feel
Awesome video as always 😊
Have you done Sylvia Likens ? That is one that you should definitely look into. I'm in Indiana and she was local
no, that story is worn out on UA-cam, what can I add. I am looking for untold stories, thats what you will find here. no reruns.
thanks tho, appreciate the suggestion :-)
Thanks Ron for a really cool story
Great, thanks for sharing the lecture/video to view - fascinating. Wouldn’t want to live there either, rather tragic the way things turned out…
Thanks Ron!
If i owned any of those houses, I'd make a small memorial for anyone who may be buried under me.
You force people to move their loved ones graves then charge them to do it? It’s shocking how heartless and greedy humans can be. Great video btw and awesome channel!
The grotto was/is a beautiful tribute. I wonder what happens to the bones that are incidentally found. I agree it is in fact a lovely neighborhood.
That was a nice history story Ron, lot’s of remains resting underneath the neighborhood.
Thanks Doug 🙋♂️🐈🐈
I enjoy your videos up here in Canada. In my town of Newmarket Ontario I noticed several graves here with American flags beside them. Many are from the early 18 hundreds. I assume there's some interesting stories with them.
Theres a middle school in CT that was built on a "former cemetery" where the bodies and stones were all said to have been moved. The stones were all moved, buut each time theres renovations done, more bodies are found.
Opening footage was awesome to see
WHAT A RESPECTFUL GENTLEMAN. TO HONOUR THE MEMORY OF THE LITTLE BOY BLESS YOU 😢 AND THANKS FOR THE JOURNEY MR RON. YOUR A TRUE BLUE GENTLEMAN ,HAPPY HALLOWEEN AND KEEP SAFE . 🇦🇺🇦🇺👍
My 11 year old is obsessed with graveyards and cemeteries. Whenever we go to visit family in West Tennessee he wants to go visit where family members are buried. He wants to go to the graves of family members he never knew and some I never knew or can barely remember.
Oh that’s really cool
Thanks Ron❤
Thank you Ron for these cool videos! It’s hard to believe cities are just fine with building over old graves, not thinking there would be any repercussions from it! Bizarre! Seeing that sweet boy in the end was a treat 🤎 I love labs so much, we had a yellow lab named Doc (Holiday) best dog ever 😊
Hi Ron. Very interesting video. It’s sad enough to have to disinter bodies and then charge fifty bucks to have the task done. Buried with the intention to rest in peace for eternity. Very sad. Take care and God bless.
I love your video's. This breaks my heart when they disrespect the dead. I am also aware that New York building are build on top of cemetery's. I heard that on ground zero, where the twin towers were build they found down below the grounds a 1800 boat.....and God knows what else. Another documentary, they said the twin Towers were build on top of Douch and Indian graves. " that's extremely terrifying."
Crazy to think how many other places are built over graves. May they RIP.
Another great video Ron, it looks as hot as hell there where you are, quite eerie to think that everywhere you tread you could be stepping on someones grave 😮
Great story !
Near where I live there is a whole blocks of flats that use to be a graveyard. I don't know if there was anything to remove from the graves because it was a really old cemetery and everyone would just have gone to earth. They did use the old headstones to make a pathway in the park close by. I wouldn't want to live there permanently in one of those flats but I have stayed there a couple of times, I found them to be dark and eerie. To be honest they creep me out!
That is one neighborhood I would not like to live in . How disrespectful can you get. We have places like that here as well. If I was buried there I would haunt the dickens out of everyone. Great video Keep Safe ❤Keep Well❤
