    Great video. I've always found it frustrating that there isn't a good way to test injectors other than a buzz test or having a dealership with an IDS do a cylinder contribution test. I never thought to use a temperature gun to take measurements at the exhaust ports. That could be a great way to narrow down a failing injector without spending money on a contribution test, especially when you have no codes. Thank you for posting.

    Very helpful and informational video. I checked out your website too and it's very nice as well with very well done guides. I plan on diagnosing my truck's issue soon when the weather cools down (it's not a daily driver). A ODBII scan gave me a faulty GPC module, I replaced that but I'm still getting smoking, and a smell, not quite like raw diesel but maybe a burning carbon like smell? Anyway, I'm fairly new to diesel troubleshooting so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    I have a 2003 f250 6.0 diesel it shows four injectors not contributing , runs alittle ruff will replacing the o-rings fix it as long as the
    wires are ok

    When you say manifold ports, you mean exhaust manifold?

    My last oil change was horrible black sluggish engine oil ? Can I flush the 6.0 engine oil ? And with what ? I think one of the injectors is clogged

    When I am at certain speeds of between 30 or 40 or 70 to 80 mph, my truck acts like it is choking or an old steam engine puffing with black smoke exiting the tailpipe. It does not do this all the time but has been gradually getting worst. There are only 148,000 miles on the truck. I have changed the fuel filters a couple of times now too. Just frustrated about finding a solution.

      Sounds like you're FICM or Fuel Injector Control Module is starting to have issues.

    I need some help with my 6.0 powerstroke. Have a 6 inyector circuit low. If you can help me wich are the more common causes of this code and also it have EGR P0401 code. And P0404

      I have the same code except cylinder 5, I’m not sure if it’s the harness or the injector

    tell me.The voltage on the module is 48.5, on an idle engine, and the injectors are not tested!

    so i have no hard start idles fine but dies on me when i drive down the road runs ruff then won’t start for 10 min any answers

      Hpop leak more then likely does it have a long crank to start back

    Wth does he mean at 6:08ish by "pick a cylinder that's easy to get to cuz you're gonna have to spend extra time w/it"? Wouldn't you be cleaning a cyl that the engine picked to die? I mean a guy doesn't usually have any say over it, I just fix whatever it decides to shell out. Js
