My favorite thing about this guy is that he is able to play with such a high level of technique while still making listenable drum tracks. Some drummers are so technical it just ends up sounding like impressive noise.
I have a good friend that is a drummer, black metal/heavy metal. He read a study that drummers often is compared to professional athletes when it comes to endurance. I can tell, because he is also in great shape, like El Estepario Siberiano ;)

So like to me, the “tightest” drummer is Jimmy Cobb (Miles Davis), he played the skip beat so tightly and his comping was so brilliant. Something my fav one hand master in the video could never do. But Cobb can’t do this, it’s hard to define “the best” or most skilled in drums and I lean toward jazz because the coordinated independence takes a lifetime to get to Elvin and Roach levels, but to others Danny Carey or a metal dude may be the best. Listen to Elvin Jones as the polar opposite of this and everything in between is why drums is THE BEST instrument ever!
yeah, I mean, when I see talent like this it makes Tomas Haake and Chris Turner look almost "easy" to play along with. This dude is a fucking beast inside of a god inside of a beastgod.
I mainly work programming drums for bands that can't record a drummer or that can't get a good sound and I always receive the same comments "that's imposible, a drummer cannot play that!!!" And I'm glad to finally say "go to Siberiano's channel and then come back." Thanks man, you're the best evidence that the impossible on the drums exists. 😅
i think they’re more worried about finding a drummer that can for live shows lol. i get it because i played drums my whole life and recently started playing guitar and singing so all of our recorded drum parts are me and so live we struggle to find any drummers that will play the part lol

I have played drums since I was 6 years old so I can clearly confirm this man is what you get when you really hang into something and try to get better every single day ! And even if he does not believe in it he has to have a decent amount of talent but still talent is not a vip ticket to getting this good. You have to put everything in it!
I have also played since I was 6 and can play pretty much anything at this point being 34, but this guy has some of the best improv grooves and fills. Such a talent, and you're right, if you stick with something for the years that it takes to get good you can really enjoy the passion of it

I've always had a nack for rhythm, and as a guitarist always loved drummers who play to the music like Jimmy Chamberlain, Dave Grohl or Joey Jordison. Estepario makes you listen hard to appreciate the complexity of what he is doing. This man, in my humble opionion, is currently the worlds best drummer.

Wow! Absolutely incredible! The timing is perfect, you're fast enough that you can do singles and they sound like doubles which gives it a fuller sound during brief fills. How can you play such complicated "stop & start" patterns with your left, 4, 8 or 16 with your right and two different patterns with the pedals? That's incredible work ethics AND you have incredible talent. You have to have both to succeed anywhere near your level. Oh yeah, thank you for this performance. Loved it.
