How does this product work with solar panels with reducing UV penetration to the silicon that generates power? The goal would be to allow the UV penetration for power production while keeping the panel cooler and cleaner…
We've tested both options including painting the back of the panel. This didn't work as the heat needs to transfer through the panel. We did find that having the roof cool with Super Therm was the best. Reducing the microclimate temperature around the panel improved the efficiency on hot days. The hotter the less effective panels are because the roof gets hot as well. Worse if you have a dark coloured roof. You can't paint the top of the panel because Super Therm is opaque (white). Want better performance, have a light coloured roof. Even better yet Super Therm blocks the infrared heat load into the roof therefore keeping the air cool.

I am considering building a metal home in a wildfire prone area in California. I wanted to know how Supertherm will hold up in such and event. From what I understand temperatures can exceed 1,472°F - 2,100°F. With the appropriate precautions, I'm wondering what level of protection this product can provide for a home and its contents.
Hi Pixel Martyr, yeah Super Therm isn't designed for those temperatures unfortunately. The best we can offer you is our Omega Fire Coating.
