Burton is a pioneer in mixing harmonic vocals with aggressive vocals, from which came bands like Strapping Young Lad, Killgore, Seven Dust, he sang in Geezer Butler's band and worked with other bands. I respect Milo's work but I know that Burton is a legacy.
I have been a FF fan since 1992 or so and I was lucky enough to attend a FF gig in June 2024 with Milo on vocals. I wasn't ready for this but this was a birthday present but let me tell you one thing: that gig was AWESOME and Milo delivered a great performance! Now I am eager to see what will come next.
Milo has nothing on Burton's vocals in his prime. More importantly, Milo has nothing on Burton's creativity and vision. We've still seen nothing from the new fear factory. They only cover their old songs.
It's almost like spending half a decade in court is expensive and writing and recording music is financially risky compared to doing festival dates. The internet is truly packed to the tits with loudmouthed ignoramuses.
Burton's voice in his prime shits all Milo. Zero comparison. Not even fanboying. Burton is the reason fear factory got as big as they did. One of a kind, proper rockstar energy. Milo sounds much more generic in comparison, and whilst good, had he been their original singer they'd have gone nowhere.
Yeah Ok. These are all safe assumptions because we cant go back. Saying that they wouldn't have gotten nowhere with Milo and his vocal talent is yet to be heard. As of now, he nailed Burtons vocals down. We will see what he brings to the table with a new album.

Milo would have gotten nowhere doing whatever he was doing prior and FF would have been in the same position Dead Channel are in had he been there from the beginning. The spark of the OG members is what made the band so successful, that spark ain't there with this new lineup.

Many musicians have an insane amount of skill, but use only what is required for the bands style. Its wild how people simply place a musician into a box and write them off as this or that. Milos style changed for fear factory as well. Musicians change their styles and approach for the gig they are in. They adapt and change. Their preference is another story, but still an example of change and their abilities to do so. Perfect example. Cliff Burton didnt prefer Thrash Metal, but he played thrash metal in his band and was far more advanced than his peers. Cliff could have played in any band, in any style he wanted.
I'm ok with Milo - I think we all miss Burton but age gets to us all and time and again voices can not adapt as they get lower as we get older - lets see what new material surfaces but thinking loudly the latest drummers kicks need work
Burtons vocals seem a bit thicker and silvestros voice seems a little cleaner and he hits the notes pretty dead on. but I love both and have zero bad to say about either. Awesome video btw
Try to reach Milos voice when he sings clean stuff and then we talk again about it. Burt never, not even in 1995, used to reach Milos level when singing clean stuff live. And after many years, he was not able to sing clean vocals anymore. Man, I have been to so many FF shows since the early days. Around 2010, when Burt used to sing shock live it was sad, very sad. He was choking on cleans. But talking about...growling, death metal singing etc Burt is much heavier than Milo. And yes, he should sing brutal shit again.

Fear Factory is a C-tier cover band now. Does anyone actually care about Dino and his traveling circus? There are far better, more interesting touring bands that deserve exposure.
