Does she not talk about it for the same reason most of us don't? I will forever love the books and in this case separate the art from the author. I do not support the author and their views at all, just making it clear.
Heather Gonzalez the series was never my vibe. it does break my heart, however, that this situation ruined the series for so many who grew up with it. me, i grew up with twilight and percy jackson, as well as other book series like the lunar chronicles and shatter me, so i understand how heart shattering it could be to have this huge piece of you get corrupted by the author’s wrongful views. i wish it wasn’t this way, and i’m glad people like christine are acknowledging (however slightly) that the author shouldn’t be supported when they have such harmful ideologies. transphobia is wrong, and this is a wonderful case scenario of separating the art from the artist 💛
