Thanks AB. I'm back for the replay. I can't wait to see how good it comes out. OK I never would have thought to make my brine like a simple syrup. Great combination of flavors.
Thank you!
Hi AB, should I rinse my chicken then pat it dry before cooking it?
Sorry AB! I do not click on second sites to get recipe. So, I guess it's good by. Sad because I loved your channel.
Can I brine Cornish hens like this
🛑 5:46 🛑
Pat it dry and place back in the fridge for 3 days!!!! Do not skip this step. It will dry the skin to the meat and make crispy skin!!
High quality restaurants never skip this step. The skin will turn clear and the white fatty look will go away.
Just pat dry, place in clean bowl, cover bowl with plastic wrap, refrigerate 72 hours, season like video said, and cook however you want.
I promise this works so well!
Great video!!! Love the brine
He said to put it in the fridge for 3 days? I ain’t hear that at all
@@AubreyDenson no not for 3 days in this video. It was only an aditional tip to get a better result 😊
If your brown sugar gets hard put a piece of bread into the container and the brown sugar will get soft as new over night.
@southpaw1755
👍🏿Thanks for the very helpful and money saving FYI.✌🏿
Or just keep it in the fridge and it won't harden.
@@ladiuneeq9789 Great tip. Thank you.
Great advice.
What kind of bread?
AB. I like you mentioned your recipes are printable. For older peeps that watch your channel. That's helping my mother keep cooking.
Glad to hear that! Just trying to help everyone out
How do you make pig feet
What kind of stove is that orange pot on.
I’m gonna try my own traditional for thanksgiving could you do gumbo crab meat
A couple of years ago I brined a turkey and smoked it. Some people I love asked me to do a turkey, so I found the best recipe I saw on the tubes. I don't even like turkey, I never have, it's always dry and bad and only as good as the gravy. I had no idea there were people out there that could make amazing, juicy, plump turkey with a nice crispy skin. I had simply never had turkey made by someone who knew how to make good turkey (sorry grandma, mom and both wives). I tried it with chicken, amazing!!! I tried it with Cornish game hens, amazing!!! Brine your poultry people. And the best way I've found to smoke a brined turkey is to spatchcock it and smoke it flat. I promise that once you brine turkey or chicken, you'll never go back to dry, bad bird. Nice video AB.
😄 _"Grandma, Mom and both wives"_ Too funny Michael!!
Brining is 100% the answer. I will never cook a turkey for thanksgiving that's not brined... and I cook a whole chicken or two a week at home... always brined. SOOOOO good!
I use Tumeric instead of Cinnamon Sticks. Gives it a beautiful golden color and the flavor is more comforting to me than the cinnamon. Absolutely agree on the Smoked Paprika - it's a must! Makes your oven-cooked bird taste like you kissed it on the grill. For my turkey, I use a 5 gallon bucket from one of the home improvement stores. I clean it out, rub it down with a little kosher salt to make sure it's dry, then use it to brine my turkey for Thanksgiving. It sits upright, so all the sides are covered, and the lid is air tight!
I just stumbled onto this video due to the algorithm and I subbed just on this alone. You have opened eyes to a while new world of possibilities!! Thank you.
I used this recipe for my first roasted chicken and now I have a recipe my Grandma can enjoy. I appreciate the tips
I've always wanted to try brining my chicken and turkey because they definitely add another dimension of flavor to the bird. Your brine recipes look easy to follow; I'll try this one the next time I bake chicken and let you know how it turned out 😊. Thank you AB ❤.
Yes! Let me know!
@@SmokinandGrillinwithAB I will!

So how’d it go
This man knows what's up.
I started brining my turkeys for Thanksgiving using this same method, but in a 5 gallon bucket for 24 hours, a few years back. My family was skeptical at first but after they tasted it... I'm the only one allowed to cook the turkey year after year.
This looks fantastic!
Thanks AB. This is my first time trying to brine a whole chicken so thanks for the recipe
Never brined before so l thought I’d try it. I also, followed your video for preparing and cooking my bird. Man, that turkey was fire! My Dad kept talking about how good it tasted and how moist it was! Thank you for sharing!😊
Yum! This looks so delicious!
Thanks!
I love that you have a website now. I can add it to my favorites with Laura in the kitchen and cooking with Carolyn ❤❤❤❤
Thank God you do this, love your recipes. Went right out and bought everything I needed for this brine and I cant wait. Your flavor combos are spectacular. So hooray for channel. Keep on cooking.❤
How’s it turn out?
I bought a clean bucket and a big plastic bag and put it in the garage refrigerator for rhe 12 hrs. It turned out juicy, and delicious and very tender. The flavor was phenomenal. Still turkey but just a hint of garlic but the thyme dies wonders fir poultry. Can't wait to do it again next turkey time.
I was looking for a brine that was a little extra. Thanks for the video.
Thanks, I am going to do that tomorrow.
AB this is Vanessa from Dallas, Texas. This was a game changer. Thank you

I've been using the bear for years now. Also for small bag of brown sugar the Chinese soup container keeps sugar soft also.
I had to come back and give a testimony lol I just did this for Thanksgiving last night and it worked like magic. Preciate you AB
The chicken actually looks excellent. I’ve never seen it being put into a pot but that may be something I’ll actually try.
AB can you please do an instructional video on a dry brine. Did one last year for my thanksgiving turkey and it came out surprisingly good. Would love to see what you have regarding dry brines. Thanks in advance 🫶🏿

Hi AB🙂, I LEARNED ABOUT BRINING MY MEATS , AND BOY I BOY, IT'S THE TRUTH!! BLESS YOU BROTHER AND KEEP ON COOKIN'!!😊
Kosher salt is like a unicorn in CA. I haven't seen it in stores for 8 months.
Sounds and, looks good. Much thanks and, love to you. Happy Thanksgiving 🎉.
Happy holidays!
I literally am sitting down eating the chicken after a 24 hour brine and wow! Never brined before and now I’m never going back. The breast being so soft and full of flavor should be a crime! Thank you!!!!
how many lbs was your chicken ?
Followed this and it came out perfect, appreciate the gems, AB
👏🏽👍🏽🤤💯

That is some flavor infusion, can't wait to try this! Thanks AB!
BEST BIRD BRINE I’ve EVER HAD! (I added ‘irnge’ 🍊 zest!) 👍🙏👌👌
Yum! 🍊 I'm getting ready to pop a chicken into brine will add some orange zest too ~~~ Thanks!
I only recently learned about brining methods so I'm pretty excited to see all kinds of different recipes. Gonna enjoy trying this out soon. :)
I only use about 1/4 cup of kosher salt, 1 lemon, 4 cloves of elephant garlic, cracked peppercorn medley, 4 bay leaves and 2 sprigs of either thyme or basil. Usually does it for my brines and my chicken gets great results after about 4-6 hours in the brine. I pull it when my chicken looks “bleached”. Works perfect EVERYTIME! (For me and my family of course).
Definitely gonna have to try this. Sugar AND a cup of salt…I’m intrigued on what this flavor is gonna turn out to be.
dont u think the amount of salt and sugar he used is alot? 1 cup of koshar fo around 1 litre of water?.. i think 1/4 cup of koshar salt for 2 litres is sufficient. isnt it?
Yo I never comment just had to let u know you’re the man these videos get me right all the time they call me chef mike now largely due to your videos good vibe thanks old school 💪🙌
Nah, i dont need no small a vision watching yo channel AB man . Id be hungry everday brotha lol. Keep up the good work man 👊🏿
Another good one. Thanks bro
Do you have those red pots on your site
I will soon. I'm launching my own Dutch oven line in a month or so.
Thanks ❤
Looks good, got my chicken soaking. I had to cut back on the salt. I love salt, but it was extremely salty.
Hey Ab what’s good
I notice you have several brine recipes
Do you prefer the one with chicken/vegetable broth or water
AB, when you add ice wouldn't that delute the flavor of the brine ?? I'm going to do a Fried turkey on Thursday Thanksgiving day.
Yes it dilutes it but we plan for that by adding enough salt and other seasonings to the brine
Love your recipies AB!!!
That little bear is cute. It works wonders, but I've used a few marshmallows, a slice of bread, and even an apple. Thanks for the pro tips, AB. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!! Stay safe. 😊🦃 🙏
Whats the name of the Bear thing? I need that;]
Thanks, and you and yours as well!
@@lunchmoneydnb If I remember correctly, it's called the sugar bear. 😊
Doesn't the apple and bread get moldy in it? I rarely use brown sugar, mostly just for ribs or other pig while I'm grilling, so a bag or 2 lasts me all year.
I’m Lit for Tomorrow! Salute @AB, I been watching you since 100k subs! Keep Up the GREAT WORK! 💯 💪
Hey 🆎 I came at the end of your LIVE. Internet was down all day fam 🙄. I got the video saved. Take care ✌🏾.
Hi AB Can I use regular salt ?? and how much should i use ???
This looks FIRE!! 🔥 👌🏾
Thanks fam!
Do you oil and season it before cooking or is it good to go with just the brine?
Looks delicious!
Would your share, video on Fish braining or any other method to enhance the taste of sea fish.....your videos were awesome....AB
Before sitting my turkey in-can i get some of the brine out and make a good gravy? Would that be a good idea to have some of that flavor to dip .
Hi AB, where is the link for the item to put into the brown sugar to keep it soft? I've never seen anything like that and am interested in checking it out.
Good Afternoon There My Good Big Bro AB Of Smoking & Grilling With AB

Juicy chicken brine looks delicious 😊😀😋
This came right on time AB, thank you!❤️🙌🏾✨
I was a non believer in brine, you right thank you!!
You used to decline the brine, now your brine is sOOo fine! 🥰🎵
Instead of brown sugar, can you do sea salt including the cinnamon?
Love your UA-cam channel. 😋
Thanks for watching!
I like that small gas stove you have. Do you have a link to that?
Thanks for the recipe, AB! The bird is brining away.
Thank you
Smellivision…! Ha lol love it!

What should the temp be for juicy roasted chicken?.
🙋🏽♀️AB...Awesome info...thanks for sharing...helping ones like me to be better in the kitchen....Im late, but I'm loving the lil you & the grill...sooo cute.....hagn...ky
If i leave it in the brine overnight, should I rinse it before the rub goes on?
How come you added 1 cup of salt this time instead of 1/2 cup?
What do u do with the brine once u take out the chicken ? 🤔
Hi, ❤❤❤❤❤❤love it 🎉 yummy eating watching you cooking videos now ❤ thank you for recipes save my recipes amen
What is in the poultry blend
If you use chicken broth instead of water would it mess up the brine/flavor?
What’s the chef life for this wonderful brine, please?
Do you use this on Turkey too ?
Please tell me you have a smoke video for this delicious-looking hen!
This is right on time! We're going to put off turkey till Christmas this year, but this is a great way of making a chicken special. Trying it!
Hope to hear from you my friend 😊
