Thank you for my book I received today, much appreciated. Can't wait to start reading 🙏. I am in the middle and though I've wrote a book I didn't think about using it to create media, but it makes sense why. Great video
We have the elements however we need to be better on delivering what we have created to our audience and customers. I think we are stuck on media. We push out content, we have landing pages, form submissions…but I think we are lacking on how we deliver. Good information! Thank you for sharing!
Thank you - invaluable as always - I can see the end result - it's how to take the individual steps that I need guidance with - do I need an expensive team to create this? can I create this as a solopreneur without significant financial investment?
I am stuck around choosing the right software for me. I prefer the personal touch. Thank you again Daniel for creating a great framework swapping time for improved sales. 😊 Carolyn Williams
Thanks Daniel I loved your recent conversation on DOAC - so many Yes's! And all of this resonates. I am moving between middle and top of the hierarchy. Need some more clarification around what you mean by software and how that looks in my business.Signed up for the workshop, but realised it is 3am in Aus time, so I hope there is a replay! Thanks for your insights
You laid it out so perfect!!! The whole world, everything, has been culminating to the final point. And you captured it perfectly. This is a historical pinnacle!!! If a person can understand what you have just now said, if they have not made it yet, now they will.
I love this explanation. Makes perfect sense. I’m stuck in the middle of the pyramid - my social media is going really well but I’m not sure how to make the leap into collecting data - email lists etc. would be grateful for any advice on that! Thanks.
That is a somewhat good challenge. I am still trying to get my social media right...any tips you can share on how you got your social media right and exactly what that means?
Hi Daniel. Found you and started following you after watching you on the Diary of a CEO podcast and I wanted to say thanks for sharing so much free content and value. I have also subscribed and just received your book Key Person of Influence. I am looking forward to reading this. Like you, I'm an Aussie with global homes in Oz, Asia, and now residing in the USA. My question after watching the above video, which makes absolute sense but where I am stuck at as a filmmaker, is how can I leverage your above principle with my many stories and scripts I have written to develop this into a IP, Media & Data in order to progress to software? I have been looking a lot at how I can be a successful Indie filmmaker that I can raise money, distribute and maintain creative control over my own content as you may already know, filmmaking is expensive. By the way, I love your mindset! It really is so living in the future, and the exciting possibilities we are living in that were even possible a few years ago. I am also looking at how to help baby boomers in the US find 2nd homes in Asia, getting this idea about the Baby boomers market thanks to you. Kai
Hopefully life and biz transforming mentor Priestley will give the answer that only he can give which will certainly be the right one, my own opinion would be that you do what Hollywood has always done which is to put Coca-Cola in Tom Cruise' hand. Your films need to be sponsored and as Dan Priestly mentions often the fact that today we have more businesses i.e.- products than ever before and all of them clambering for marketing... that's why UA-cam's largest audience are marketing training seekers and marketing trainers who are lapping it up!!! Get good at soliciting to product owners, to put that product in your star character's hand. It doesn't require being a sell-out... do you see US Congress decked out like race car drivers, all the brands written all across their uniform? No. Life is selling. Stop running away from oxygen, water, sunshine... accept nature, accept life, accept money. Be a producer. Produce. Not a single song you know, celebrity, author, hero, infuencer you know... would be known at all by anybody if money hadn't brought their work to the world. It's just a tool, not an evil entity... sponsors need you, and you need them. Wouldn't you sponsor somebody? And doesn't the audience deserve that? To see your work? They'll understand... you said it yourself: making a film is expensive. Two choices, either the audience pays you millions of dollars upfront to make a movie... or sponsors do (people who have plenty of money to spare), and the audience can pay $5 per ticket instead of mortgaging their home to see your film. Win/win/win. Find products that align with your core beliefs, companies who believe in the message of your film, and bring them onboard by selling them the message of the film. Maybe the film is about dogs and cats, and maybe the owner of Amazon is passionate about dogs and cats. Just one of a billion examples (and dollars). My two cents, might be wrong, take it or leave it. Wishing you all your dreams and more! -Ben
I am in the middle of the hierarchy. I understand how Scorecard can help in this phase, but I'm not following how software in itself produces the results that people are going to engage with to receive the results they want through it. Thanks in advance.
I have IP & I'm creating media however not collecting data as well as I'd like. I've just launched a scorecard, traction is slow, however I have it & its now a case of tweaking as I go. I am still trading time for money in a traditional consultancy model and looking to move up the hierarchy, I have a thought on the software piece so there is some structure to work towards
As a 28 year old working on changing and developing myself. I currently work closely under an entrepreneur who started and is building his brand "Crepe Runner" along with his two brothers. I too want to be a successful entrepreneur one day. At the moment I am more focused on building my skills and conquering my fears. I am also slowly making a point to make videos and also blog, although I am not actively marketing my channels. My aim is to be comfortable making content and be consistent in putting them out.
To answer your question, Daniel, my struggle is to get everything systemized in order. Like in strategic, sequential order. I am good with level one, two, and three of your pyramid. Once I get to level four, things start to lobable.
That is a challenging one for most...I however think I am kinda rushing the process to get there...I feel I am personally every so often bouncing between level one and two
We started a youth soccer club 4 yrs ago and I believe there other like me who’d like to know how to do what we’ve done but don’t know how to package all the “how to” behind our soccer program “intellectual property”
I love that you mentioned: you first start with the skills and time- this is what generates the stories and insights. But I have a question.. I’d love for you to address what are some of the things a young person with little experience can do to build some sort of small portfolio in order to get recognition and the skills to work as part of a small global entrepreneurial team (as you mention in your book/videos). Should they be starting their own podcast, youtube channel or learn a skill like editing and have some freelancing clients, or something else? In order for an entrepreneur to get someone onto their team they have to add value - but how can you generate this by yourself if you don’t have it already?
Check out his conversation on the diary of a ceo, they really cover that in depth. He even gives a practical examples for a 21 year old in Cape Town, South Africa
Thanks Daniel, once again you have provided your followers with ingenious knowledge that I feel sums up and greatly simplifies the Way to Success in this present day of Global Digital Business Building. I have my business all set up within the "Value Hierarchy Pyramid" as you specifically laid out, and I'm now focused on developing the most effective ways to launch the promo and marketing of my unique "software" (per your defiinition) to reach my target niche market audience. Any advise you can share on this area would be very welcome, via your media channels or direct messages.
I'm stuck at creating software. I teach people the importance of beauty and creativity through high-end design and couture fashion. I plan on writing a book and teaching a course, but I have no idea how to add software into my business. The only thing I can think of is creating some kind of software to get accurate measurements of my couture clients who are not in my presence. I planned on having a Zoom call with clients who can't be at my studio physically, so I can walk them through measurements. I'd love it if there was some kind of scanning software that could be used by my clients in the private of their own homes. Like, they could just install the app on their phone, and it walks them through it. That seems like a huge undertaking, though. I know nothing about coding or 3D scanning software. It would be so awesome if that existed. That seems like a whole business on its own, though.
I can help on the book end of things... let's jump on a call and get started ASAP, I can also help with the course...I am okay to just to level one and trade my time becuase I know I may learn a thing or two from your business...😊😊
@thuitagatero I don't think I'm ready to write the book yet. I still need to launch my fashion line and UA-cam channel. I think that's at least a year or maybe even 2 away since I'm bootstrapping it. He says to wait at 2 years after being in business to write a book. I def plan on writing one and even have the outline done, but I've got other stuff to work on first. Thank you for the offer, though. I wish I was ready to take you up on it. What was it that you were interested in learning from me? Maybe I can still help with that part?
I think I am at the top, I've created AI Agents for one-person business owners. But something that is not automation. I am stuck in finding more people to get on a call and make an offer to.
Thanks Daniel - nicely simplified - especially on the IP. We are wanting to scale but dont seem to have the time to asset build much media as this takes away spending 'time' on direct sales, without which there wouldnt be any immediate revenue in the business. We are stuck in that cycle as the revenue created by digital assets initially seems much slower to start and needs time to get momentum and this seems to apply to all media channels. Any suggestions?
How would a roof painter use this information? Would it be for example: 1- create IP in a painting course, book on how to paint.. 2- create software that helps painters do their job easier and more efficiently Would that be an example? Keen to know what you recommend for this
Good idea to go practical. Writing this after watching the video. IP How to paint your roof. Media. Posters, workshops, social media posts etc. Software. (Deliver a transformation without you being there. Something your customer would subscribe to.) customer dependent, but maybe launching and managing a roof painting business. Lads. Upsells. Etc.
@Daniel wondering what software would you recommend creating for the online language services industry. We already have a strong AI-integrated CAT (compueter-assisted translation) tool that has GTM
Thanks for sharing another great video. An advise relative to your brand value - your participation in the discussion about USA was bad - the combination of 4 persons with limited real knowledge and lack of alternative thinking resulted in several wrong and / or narrow minded statements! Simple advice you lose credibility in the frame it was presented - where I would expect much more than what you and the other 3 participants could come up with! And remember, if you criticize the country you live in - the facts are very important, and it might be better to move to the country that you like better -Enjoy 😉
Amazing insight.
Amazing video, thank you!

Well, @Daniel Priestly - I am now convinced I am sitting on a goldmine. Always love your stuff. This is Trudy Beerman, by the way. We met in Tampa.
I am stuck around choosing the right software for me. I prefer the personal touch.

I’m currently building out my middle section of the hierarchy 👏

Thanks for Sharing

Fantastic 🎉. Thanks!
Awesome content
Excellent.
Can you elaborate on 'software' and how to capitalise please Daniel.
I need help putting structure to my IP
Hey there @mjrandolph, what are you working on, personally I am working on a book. Its really a lot of work but I keep reminding myself it's worth it
At level 1. Need to figure out what I can produce in order to get to the media stage
Have you thought of writing a book or a guide to what you do best then get Into media around that?
