Kevin is one of the best UA-cam coaches, no one comes close to him , his explanation is like he knows he is giving lesson to people who really need to fix their game
Every time I see a tennis coach with a ball machine I think to myself.....I need a ball machine! Nothing beats teaching with a constant speed ball. Great video Kevin. Loved the simple explanation
Cool lesson. Now I understand that doing those steps forward when volley I was more focused on to stay sideways, rather than simply transfer my weight into the ball. Will try this out tommorow
Kevin: You are the best! great energy and great analogies to help visualize what to do. for example, showing how you would push forward if you wanted to push someone, and would always have your hand aligned in front of the shoulder, whether or not you were going to push someone straight ahead, down the line, or crosscourt! :) I watch your videos frequently as I work on my game. Always a great help. Thank you!!
Show request please Kevin. In doubles is there a mathematical answer to where you should be placing your return too in general play? I'm mostly looking for the part of the court with most open real estate as that's the furthest you can rush your opponents. Also when do you hit diagonally and when do you go for a passing shot down the alley? Thanks, great instruction, much appreciated! 👍
Hi Kevin - how to watch the ball while at the net? Do we focus on the ball coming off of the opponent’s racquet? Struggling with that..would help if you can make a video explaining this 🙏🙏🙏
At times the ball is hit quite hard , and the volley goes out of base line. Are you required to do something to dampen the impact, so that the volley stays inside the court?
Unfortunately the balls were all out to the side and not AT your physical body. That’s what I need help with. While I am supposedly in a fun group where people don’t purposely hit at people’s bodies, I have a guy hitting very hard at my body over and over again. There is no time to react almost. He’s handcuffing me. Can’t play with the guy anymore. I’ve spoken to him about it and he doesn’t care.
Also depending on how big we are talking, like 85+mph/150kph groundstrokes, you have to soften up the wrists and make the targets bigger as the ball will be harder to control
I exploded a woman with an overhead smash, it was the third one in a row that got popped up to me so I went to send it home on what was the kill shot. She blew up like someone getting beat up in a bruce lee movie. It was epic. Just wanted to share that story lol. She has no confidence with fast balls hahaha
This is the best volley lesson I ever gotten, including the concept and mechanics of moves. Thank you, Kevin.
Dude i just had exactly the same experience..... what a diamond video!

This instruction video was a gamechanger for my volley footwork. Such a simple explanation with profound impact!
From one coach to another - perfectly explained ! 👍🏻
Thanks for the back up Adam.
Had problems with this just yesterday, UA-cam algorithm & Kevin there for the rescue! Well explained, thanks alot :)

Thanks Kevin! You teach with the recreational player in mind.
Your lessons are sooooooooo good. Thank you.
Kevin, not everyone American here. Please add subtitles in English which makes them understand well. Great video, great lesson. Thx.
Good stuff, thanks. Will give it a try.

Fantastic, very very helpful. Can't wait to use it at the net.
Very clear and easy to understand. Thank you so much.
Excellent class, thank you!
Thanks, simple and good.👍🏿👍🏿🙂🙂
Great lesson thx
Thank you. This video is really useful.
Revealing! Not the make a backswing, but just racketmovement as a consequense of a bodyturn, to prepare bodycontrolled power-steering.
Awsome!
many thanks Kevin, you have been very important person to my game
A Very good tip. Thank you.

Good instructor - lots of energy
Great lesson!
Quite helpful! If the racquet moves in my hand at impact, is this a result of not holding racquet tight enough or no body push forward?
Thx mate
Great sir..thanks
Awesome - pls show closely some backhand volleys as well - I ve seen most players using slice like movement on backhand volley
Thank you Kevin, it' amazing
Great video😎
Great lesson! Thank you so much!!
Thanks a lot Great video
Excellent coach !!!
Great lesson! Thank you Kevin
Great lesson video
Great technic! How do u prepare for really really fast balls aimed directly you at the net to intimidate you.

Nice job dude!
bro what do you do with the wrist tho? is it firm all the way? before and during contact? or is it relaxed then at contact you tighten it?
Fantastic video! Thank you, Kevin!
Thanks Jacob!
Nice Video. Thank you Kevin.
Now why didn't I think of that? Thank you!
Very clear. Good explanation. What do I do if the ball is headed toward my crotch?
Thanks so much, I love it
Wow thanks a lot good video
Show the backhand version also.
On low hard volleys that are to be hit very deep you don’t step that is crucial for accuracy
Against big hitters do not try to volley from a position 4ft away from the net; try more like 8ft and you'll have time to react to balls hit hard.
Turn, shift, push. Gonna talk myself through it.
How do you run farther for the ball and volley?
On a scale of 1-10 how strong would you hold the racquet on this kind of volleys?

What do I do when the ball is 4 inches from my nose xD
Then you are late.
You lost so many matches at 4.5 in my day coaches were 6.0;minimum.
