nice video. Exactly what i needed to hear. i just recently became a serve and volleyer and chip and charger. its very effective against players utr 6 or less. I have some trouble against utr 7 and up. Usually if my serve, approach shot, or 1st volley isnt good enough, I get a rifle shot sent back to me, mostly its down the line. Now i know what to do with those shots. But more importantly, I have to improve my serve, approach shot and 1st volley so i'm not put in that position 😀. Thanks for the video!
Hi i’m Dan from Korea. Your videos have been extremely helpful and my tennis has improved a lot based on them! I have a hard time volleying hard hit, heavily spun balls. Do u have any secret sauce for increasing grip pressure at impact for such balls? Thanks in advance!
Hey Dan, glad you're finding them helpful. Keeping a contact point in front and firm grip pressure are the two best ways to handle pace. Getting your head and eyes close to contact will definitely help as well. Not an easy shot but you gotta practice them!
I use a two handed backhand volley and I have noticed the ball tends to go deep when I’m returning power should I switch to 1 hand if im not hitting a weak ball?
Yes you should switch to a one-hander, for many reasons. You probably won't like it at first but it is a must if you want to play at higher levels. 99.9% of pros use a one-handed backhand volley.
I play men’s double ..and I see rockets 🚀 at the net ..😂those demo volleys are not hard enough ..I am searching for the technic to handle rockets at the net ..some say hold racket right & some say hold it lose ..also what if the ball is hit hard further away from you ..do u let it fly or poke at it ? If so what’s the correct way to handle a poke
Daily Tennis Lesson wow. You must have had some really good training as a junior then. It’s almost impossible to have your degree of technique if you didn’t start as a youth. Neurological adaptation and muscle memory are amazing at young ages, but I think the much bigger issue for me starting as a 45 yo is time and life commitments. I played hoops growing up and being able to practice for 2 hrs, rest, and then play for 2 hrs later the same day, almost every day for a decade can get you pretty darn good. Oh yeah, the recovery at my age wouldn’t even let me do it if I was retired and lived alone 😂
@@DailyTennisLesson haha you probably won't see this but I'm a freshman at UW and was just hitting on their courts last night😂 my hitting partner is super good bringing me to net then punishing with power or heavy topspin
Mark has been a great second wheel in all your video. Kudos to him and you !
Mark has his moments. Thank you Yashwant!
