  • Brought the old gun up to 600 psi and recreated my first video. Did a little more damage this time.... Trigger is hard to pull at high pressure. Going to have to redessign that. Sorry about the kind of weird video. Camera battery died.

But did you find an exit hole? I feel as if a single can-diameter full of water can stop the mightiest projectiles! A .177 airgun will surely do the job... I think the wider the projectile, the fastest you gotta go, no matter the mass nor the energy...

No exit hole. The trigger is pretty hard to press at 600+ psi. The faster you can dump the air behind the piston, the stronger the shot is going to be. I'm going to try making a longer trigger for more mechanical advantage, and possibly adjusting the volume of the chamber attached to the three way valve for some extra umph. And yeah, the more surface area, the faster it's going to slow down. Whether through air or water. An extremely lightweight projectile with a lot of surface area is the worst projectile. Haha. That's why it's kind of fun to see just how much damage you can get from them.

Swan Donovan yeah... I love that enter hole... Makes you think how useful would be as a prepper hunting gun
