At 8:55, we accidentally showed actor William Christopher from the TV show MASH instead of Rene Auberjonois from the movie MASH. Our apologies, and both of those great actors have passed away, sadly. RIP to them and all the greats we mentioned.

Brock Peters was truly one of the kindest people I had ever met. I ran into Brock Peters at a music store in the Beverly Center in LA and I had mentioned that I saw him in Star Trek. However, he immediately talked about his experiences in filming “To Kill a Mockingbird” and how much he loved the book.
We spoke for about 2 hours and he told me stories about his career. But his true passion was jazz music. He also gave me great advice about life in general.
He was so very down to earth. He is truly a legend but he still took the time to advise a young kid who had just moved to LA.
Thank you Brock Peters - you made a deep impact on my life!

Robert Walker Jr. - Charlie in “Charlie X,” TOS. His death in 2019 didn’t get much publicity, but all the obits I read mentioned him as Charlie. It was a powerful episode.
Michael J. Pollard, who also died in 2019, was in the TOS episode “Miri.”

I think it was such a shame that not even for the last season was his name in the openings credits, he was a staple throughout the series, had several episodes centered around him and was in both the very first and last episodes.
If they ever decide to remaster it I hope he is added to at least season 7 opening credits.

    Thanks for this amazing video!
I am happy and honored to have been able to meet some of these people or see them live.... I had the chance to see DeForest Kelly live on stage (at a Star Trek convention in the 70s) he was friendly, charming, engaging and very humorous!
I also had the opportunity to meet Majel Barrett Roddenberry twice - the first was probably in the late 80s where she and Gene Roddenberry had attended a presentation at the Academy of Motion picture arts and sciences in LA - I even gave them a book on philosophy as a present.
I got to meet Grace Lee Whitney at a Star Trek convention where she was at 1 of the tables actually signing autographs of photos and such probably in the 70s or early 80s. Very friendly amazing woman!
I met William Shatner in approximately 1974 when he was filming a TV movie down the block from where I lived in LA. I remember filming him with this little super 8 movie camera and he said something like "you're knocking to get anything with that little Brownie camera" which is what those kind of cameras were called. I guess I have that film somewhere (it was a silent movie camera but I remember what he told me about how I wouldn't catch anything because of the low lighting situation and the small camera). I met him again when he and his daughter were going to this restaurant in Studio City (California) - it was a little restaurant that's no longer in business called KooKooRoo (they had amazing chicken!).
William Shatner is going to be here in Dallas next month speaking after a special screening of the Wrath of Khan - hope I can afford tickets to go, because it would be very cool to see him again.
Oh yeah, I had the really cool opportunity to see him on his 80th birthday when he was here in Dallas coincidently on that very day doing his one-man show - which was epic).
Now for the pinnacle of all my track actor meetings: If you search my UA-cam channel, you can see the video (actually I think fairly exclusive - thank God I had my "Flip Mino" along with me that day and it had a full battery and enough hard drive space thank God - this was about 2007) that I actually took at a special award ceremony for Leonard Nimoy (he had started an acting troupe in LA before Star Trek which was still going strong, called "Company of Angels" and they were giving him a special award). If you search my channel you can find it under "Leonard Nimoy company of angels." I am very honored and lucky to have been able to go up to the table where he and his wife were sitting and having dinner and say hello and thank him for everything he's done JUST before security stopped people from coming to his table.
He and his wife were very gracious (he's always been my favorite actor in the whole Star Trek Canon).

They made it real for the viewers, and in time the viewers made much of it real for everyone. Tablet computers, communicators (flip phones and then touch activated), blue tooth (Uhura's earpiece), voice interface computers, GPS, doors that open automatically, hyposprays, medical diagnostics that look exactly like tricorders, portable flash drives, transparent aluminum, more progressive social values, and even starships named Enterprise. All of it was inspired by Trek. So many young people watched these actors and thought "I can do that, for real,"
