Putting Aromatic Resurgence with High Palladium from Mage on Warferer is just passive easy mode. Just spam those two spells constantly and your pawns will be both effectively immortal and capable of destroying anything you come across. Plus Mage can heal the damage Resurgence causes.
This class is like for the Turn Based type of players looking for something slow but effective strategy. I max this already all i did was boost my party and send bosses off the cliff if near.
If you do this low leveled it is not slow lol. your clone will die very fast and you have to keep it dodging while keeping your allies safe. Maybe I'm just not that good, but I found that a great challenge. I will say I grew up playing Turn based JRPGs so maybe your are totally right lol
I felt more like an RTS type of thing, like the Protoss A-move. And I think that’s what they should double-down on - the controller with many pieces on the board.
Ya it's a fun vocation! I was surprised when I saw all the big influencers not speaking highly of it. But I also haven't really tried out the other classes so they may just be so much better than this class.
@@J4rring Ya if it had one good damage ability it would be possible to solo all the way! Maybe if you can land 20 attacks on an opponent if suffocates and dies or something.
I think adding a few more smaller mist creature summons and then a secondary master skill to expend your stamina bar and maybe some hp if stamina is low to temporarily make your mist summons able to damage like temporary summons 😊
@@Polemos_Action seeing how its mostly a support class, id rather see more debilitations on it, like if there was a blighting cloud, or igniting cloud or something like that -self destructing ur smoke dummy would be cool
btw, as a trickster you can use books(even if you boost your magic), when enemy knocked down cast something on him. Also if you play non-warfarer trickster, you can tacke some augments to hold you enemies, so when your pawns knockdown the enemy you can hold them to the ground so that pawns can finish them up
OH yes! I actually tried to solo a drake as a trickster with 30 spell books...didn't work, but was fun to try. I am about to drop a video(in 15mins) where I beat a drake with wayfarer that is trickster/sorcerer. You might appreciate it :)
@@Polemos_Action you need to boost magic to deal more damage with books (there is a trick, to boost magic more by having warfarer and equip the stuff) it no necessary to switch to stuff to deal more dmg, just enogh to have it equiped
Great vid❤. I love playing as a Trickster or sorcerer because I prefer to support my party by debilitating/aggro the enemy and buffing my party. With the right Augments and inclinations on a pawn, it's so satisfying watching them fight and utilize their skills. In DDDA, I played as sorcerer and focused of slowing and petrifying things. Trickster didnt take long for me to understand and I'm loving it. I don't move my effigy nearly as much as you do. I usually set it one spot and then use shroud. I love throwing the effigy on an enemy to turn its allies against it. Very reminiscent of confusion in other rpgs. I just got the whimsical daydream the other day. Haven't hit the jackpot yet lol but it's a fun pass-time spamming hits for gold. The dragons take the effigy out pretty quickly if using physical attacks, so you definitely have to be more attentive. I'm only level 60 and tying up a few side quests before turing in the wyrmfire crystals to ambrosius. I've covered the entire map and have 108 seekers tokens so far. Can't wait til endgame. Great content and you're super cute😊. Love the hair
One thing i do as a trickster main is always keep the simulacrum on my back when not using it for tanking, means your simulcarum is always avaliable, just hold r1 when you need to manouver or are not in combat a good example, when a drake is about to use its fire breath as soon as it commits to the animation you can keep your simulcrum on your back, it'll get a small regen and you're free to move it somewhere else

@@Polemos_Action most of trickster is just observing how the enemy is acting like if it's commiting to an attack or if it's swinging wildly another tip i can give is dragon's delusion can knock pawns out of a dragons hold, you don't want your buffed pawns turning on you, also carry grimoires i took the carry weight perk for them, they're a way trickster can do some damage, not as much as sorc or mage but it can contribute
@@kurtcobane1762 Ya it would be nice if there was enough damage abilities to solo. I tried taking down a dragon solo but even with 50 books I couldn't make it. I had to do trickster warfarer to make it work if you didn't see my last video. The silence book when a drake is in air is super strong!
@@Polemos_Action nah what i mean it's actually wut i use as a trickster, if you are gonna try thieves you want em with ensnare and the powder charge or gut skill if they have self healing thats a plus. Close second is the spliter skill > way better than mages or sorcerer. Lastly archers with explosives and a tank. You can also buy books and use em to heal your group. Lastly yes it also works if you are tanking for 3 thieves as a fighter or warrior. But the aromatic buff on trickster just works better if you run a Tank + thieves trickster is just superior as a tank for em.
Its such a smart and tactical way to play, not as much instant gratification but very rewarding. I think another warfarer mashup could be Exploding Arrow and Throwing Effigy, mobs could proc the explosion for you. Allowing you to keep up damage with great ghost up time.
Nice COMBO! Ya I did a video where I took down a drake using trickster sorcer. I think there are probably a few good combos. I just wish the ghost would stay around...

One thing I've noticed about Aromatic Ressurgence is that it makes Pawns use normal attacks more often instead of abilities, which kinda sucks if you have Mages / Sorcerers in the party. Regarding Elusive Divider, what I like doing is casting it ON my team to essentially hide them from the enemies. Not that necessary since ideally you'll have the enemies targetting your Effigy, but still.
I have noticed that also. Normally I only cast aromatic once I see them all charging up meteor. Love the divider as a shield it's a great idea Thanks for sharing your findings
It absolutely changes their behavior; you lose the ability to command them as well. My supportive mage pawn will fly in the air and normal attack instead of buffing lol. It also interrupts their casting sometimes, which for sorcerers seems really bad. If you see a pawn named MAXDPS it’s my thief with x3 skull splitter and formless feint lol. Higher change of them actually using the big dmg moves.
I loved this class as soon as I played it building walls and throwing the phantom on e imies to confuse them kept my team alive and hardly ever got hit
Really the only item i will fully suggest is Whimsical Day dream. so you earn money on your auto attacks. Even if you get the dragonforged sensor it really doesn't have a significant stat improvement or atraction of enemies. Otherwise you will want low weight equipment. You shouldn't be getting hit in general. In fact you could probably be naked and it may be better lol And once you unlock Warfarer then you can equip anything. I usually go for archer equipment because they are light weight and balanced

@@Polemos_Action Not sure if its video worthy but I had my late game mage pawn return from the rift, say that she was in a party with a warrior that she respected, and asked if she could become a warrior. Eventually I switched her over to warrior and she starting tell other pawns "how being a mage was difficult to master, but as a warrior its simple because all she needs to do is keep attacking" and other comments. I don't have the heart to change her vocation now, luckily I leveled every other vocation first. Have you noticed any pawn interactions like that?

Hummm maybe I just have a higher magic stat. I'm at 850 what is your's at? I have only played mage and sorcerer comps. Also I think it only drops flying creatures.
@@Polemos_Action I'm not sure, it was pretty early, maybe about 500, sinc the vocation don't deal damage I didn't pay much attention. I'm a sorcerer before that, it should be high for that level. It was so fun at the start, but after I try the dragon it was so disappointing. I was so hyped about the master skill, then the skill is so crappy, it broke my heart. I did some test at back then, it can't even do a thing to unbalanced enemy, so I'm now levelling all vocation. I'm gonna change back to it to do some more test.
Dragon's Delusion ensures making a flying Gryphon crash to the ground. Other big monsters just get staggered or interrupted. For Drakes and the Dragon, Delusion is useful for staggering them when they're casting spells.
@@coolorochi Delusion is usable in groups too. Smaller enemies just run away or trip over. Another use of Delusion is to scare away Harpies or the Griffin when using the Battahl Ropeway.
8 spent about 15 lebels as a trickster and it can be kinda fun to use. Look at it as the vocation that maximizes environmental hazards and ur goal is to bait and trap mobs. Gameplay is more like playing chess than a hack and slash. I cant recommend this as ur main vocation. Though. I cant use it in any combo under warefare unfortunately. U need a kit of trickster skills to make ur combat effective so choosing warfare simply doesnt make sense
Ya it can be a bit dull once it gets up to late game. kinda difficult to use any meaningful combos as a wayfarer. Would be cool to see a damage ability with trickster
You can see them at 18:42 Magic and stamina regen are most important. Otherwise you can use utility or pawn enhancements if you leveled archer. Really up to you. Having the augment to find seekers tokens is really nice.
Tried using this class. 1st boss I came across with one of the rock ogres. Sat there and watched my pawns not attack weak points for about an hour, not being able to do dmg. Turned the game off.
Not a fan of it to be honest, but I got it working a little different: No dragon ultimate, just Suffocating, enemy confusion, party buff and the ghosting ability to drag the clone or just scout. As you say, Golems were the worst experience by far. Provocation was a must have or I'd have died from boredom.
Ya it can be boring especially late game when your clone has a bunch of health. You just have to sit around and wait. Early game it was super fun cause my clone would get one shot and it was about perfection.
Yes, with auto attacks it works! but it's hard to get that close to land them. I tested it a few times, but the meteors just clean up everything in almost the same amount of time.
lolol Ya it does unfortunately...It got really bad in all of the boss fights and when there are lots of units. Wish the game was a little more optimized, but man when I'm not recording it feels so cool to drop all those meteors.
Haven't even touched them really. Just did thief to take down medusa for head. I want to restart my game back to zero to feel out the other vocations. If I were to switch to them even at like lv 30. I feel we lose all the feeling of progressing and learning each ability.
@Polemos_Action you'll be in for a shocker with those 3 vocations. Lots of fun. However after a lot of playing you'll find the game too easy with them. But you can always go solo dark soul style with thief and MS to challenge yourself.
You dont think meteoron and malesteom trivilize the game? You could be naked and no weapon and win with triple/double sorcer effectively making that whole build non relevant
Yes it does but only late game. I didn't even know how to get the maisters teaching until 60hrs in. And if it gets too boring you just restart or switch vocation. I think it is a proper ramp in power. It is the ultimate spell and 3 of them should be able to kill just about anything once we are leveled up.
The reason is its the most boring class is because youre playing support to NPCs. If we had Co-op, then it would be awesome, but playing Support to pawns is like deliberately choosing to be a side character. When you dream of being a pirate, you dream of being the captain, not the guy who swabs the deck
I understand that's how the vocation is played but it's also a boring way to play that just makes it take longer to finish the fight than if you were playing literally any other vocation
Not always once the 3 sorcerers cast everything is dead. With them all enchanting together it only takes like 15 seconds. So in situations where you can beat them faster than 15 second your good but I don't think most vocations can beat bosses in less than that time. I think the MA is the fastest with its one shot method. Or a flare thief combo. I still haven't played enough to know. What is your favorite comp
Ya that was a miss on my part. Thanks for sharing! Once I got the upgrade that decreases the summon time, I felt pretty safe just resummoning it right when the old one died. I should have covered that though. I also missed the additional side effect of aromatic buff! Thanks for bringing that up also.
Ya I understand it isn't for everyone. Especially if you didn't try it out early. It can be to easy with a high health clone, but early on it requires a lot of skill to keep that clone alive.
@Polemos_Action I leveled it without warfarer . The arisen provides more dps than any 2 or 3 pawns but trickster has zero dps, other than the occasional water/cliff death they can accomplish
Ya it isn't for everyone I get that. I do agree with you though. It would be pretty cool if our pawns could play the other classes as well. maybe make some really difficult side quests to get them there. I appreciate you watching though amd wish you the best.

The 50K gold hit can happen multiple times in a fight.
Got it 3 times in a row earlier fighting a dragon. Definitely a quick way to make some money

3 thives, get healing books find thieves with the specialization that lets em use medicine = win or get 2 pawns with explosive arrows and 1 warrior.

Another good Warfare/Trickster combo is having a Staff so you can pull out Anodyne or Celerity

Basically it's a kiting vocation, you just kite the enemy around till your pawns destroy the enemy.

I wonder if Magick Archer Bartizan skill works on the effigy???? Basically puts a shield on target, blocks attacks and counter attacks.

It doesn't, I've tried. And your effigy goes away quickly when not using their skills
If you hold R1 it’ll heal your clone. No need to snuff it and recast it. Just heal it.
What makes the illusion dragon to down enemy?

Gameplay is more like playing chess than a hack and slash. I cant recommend this as ur main vocation. Though. I cant use it in any combo under warefare unfortunately. U need a kit of trickster skills to make ur combat effective so choosing warfare simply doesnt make sense
Ya it can be a bit dull once it gets up to late game. kinda difficult to use any meaningful combos as a wayfarer. Would be cool to see a damage ability with trickster
What augments
You can see them at 18:42
Magic and stamina regen are most important. Otherwise you can use utility or pawn enhancements if you leveled archer. Really up to you. Having the augment to find seekers tokens is really nice.

Tried using this class. 1st boss I came across with one of the rock ogres. Sat there and watched my pawns not attack weak points for about an hour, not being able to do dmg. Turned the game off.
Not a fan of it to be honest, but I got it working a little different:
No dragon ultimate, just Suffocating, enemy confusion, party buff and the ghosting ability to drag the clone or just scout.
As you say, Golems were the worst experience by far. Provocation was a must have or I'd have died from boredom.
Ya it can be boring especially late game when your clone has a bunch of health. You just have to sit around and wait. Early game it was super fun cause my clone would get one shot and it was about perfection.

Can the trickster hit agrial flare?
Yes, with auto attacks it works! but it's hard to get that close to land them. I tested it a few times, but the meteors just clean up everything in almost the same amount of time.

lolol Ya it does unfortunately...It got really bad in all of the boss fights and when there are lots of units. Wish the game was a little more optimized, but man when I'm not recording it feels so cool to drop all those meteors.

are you saying that with Aromatic resonance the damage is the same?
Nice to know its possible to kill single targets with trickster but i find big fuckin sword works better

Haven't even touched them really. Just did thief to take down medusa for head. I want to restart my game back to zero to feel out the other vocations. If I were to switch to them even at like lv 30. I feel we lose all the feeling of progressing and learning each ability.
@Polemos_Action you'll be in for a shocker with those 3 vocations. Lots of fun. However after a lot of playing you'll find the game too easy with them. But you can always go solo dark soul style with thief and MS to challenge yourself.
You dont think meteoron and malesteom trivilize the game? You could be naked and no weapon and win with triple/double sorcer effectively making that whole build non relevant
Yes it does but only late game. I didn't even know how to get the maisters teaching until 60hrs in. And if it gets too boring you just restart or switch vocation.
I think it is a proper ramp in power. It is the ultimate spell and 3 of them should be able to kill just about anything once we are leveled up.

The reason is its the most boring class is because youre playing support to NPCs. If we had Co-op, then it would be awesome, but playing Support to pawns is like deliberately choosing to be a side character.

That is totally true! I would love if they made a coop mode and rose the difficulty so 4 players would actually have a challenge.
Think of it as being the commander. Captains don't fight on the front lines they stay back and make sure everything is going well giving out orders
I understand that's how the vocation is played but it's also a boring way to play that just makes it take longer to finish the fight than if you were playing literally any other vocation
Not always once the 3 sorcerers cast everything is dead. With them all enchanting together it only takes like 15 seconds. So in situations where you can beat them faster than 15 second your good but I don't think most vocations can beat bosses in less than that time. I think the MA is the fastest with its one shot method. Or a flare thief combo. I still haven't played enough to know. What is your favorite comp

A guide that doesn't teach you the basic mechanic of healing your clone? Hold r1 to heal it as it follows you. Avoid resummoming it!
Aromatic team buff also poisons your allies. BUT will allow them to be unkillable. They won't die until after it wears off. (If their HP hits zero)
Ya that was a miss on my part. Thanks for sharing! Once I got the upgrade that decreases the summon time, I felt pretty safe just resummoning it right when the old one died. I should have covered that though.
I also missed the additional side effect of aromatic buff! Thanks for bringing that up also.
Ultimate trickster guide. Unlock warfarer and let that level up trickster. Only good that trickster provides is the wakestone/seeker coin ping skill.
Ya I understand it isn't for everyone. Especially if you didn't try it out early. It can be to easy with a high health clone, but early on it requires a lot of skill to keep that clone alive.
@Polemos_Action I leveled it without warfarer . The arisen provides more dps than any 2 or 3 pawns but trickster has zero dps, other than the occasional water/cliff death they can accomplish
Even at its peak its still fairly boring
Ya it's not for everyone. I also hear thief, archer, and warrior classes are a lot more fun than the rest. I'll test those out next.

Ya it isn't for everyone I get that. I do agree with you though. It would be pretty cool if our pawns could play the other classes as well. maybe make some really difficult side quests to get them there. I appreciate you watching though amd wish you the best.
